Arrayah looked down slightly, but she didn't move away. "No, they're not. They just make me look like a freak." She sighed. She'd never liked her eyes very much, except how sometimes one could see the fire burning in them. Her eyes were literally a window to her a soul, one filled with her fire.

"You are far to critical."mhe said with a chuckle as he tilted her head back up gently, using his middle and index finger. "I could lose myself looking into them." He said completly honest. Which he sort of did. Stairing into her eyes as he let his hand trail from her chin up to her cheek slowly.

Arrayah looked up at him. And for the first time, in a long time, she felt accepted. She wasn't afraid anymore, and she knew her hope in him wouldn't be taken away. He meant what he said, but still. She didn't like her eyes. She smiles a little, "Personally I like my hair better." Shrugging she pointed out, "More like fire."

David smiled at her. "Yes, your hair is very nice." he said with a smile as he ran his fingers through it. Finally he began laughing softly to himself as he relized something. "Wow. And here I thought my day was going to be rather dull." he said with a chuckle. "For once, I don't think I could be happier to be wrong."

Arrayah looked up at him with a frown. "Rather dull? How could it be rather dull? Didn't you know you would meet someone spectacularly amazing?" She laughed to herself. She was kidding of course, she never thought highly of herself. It came with the loneliness. When people ran she could only assume they were right and she was a monster.

David shrugged playfully. "I was thinking I'd meet an interesting person." He said with a careless voice before he smiled broadly. "But I couldn't honestly say, I'd ever thought in my llife, i'd meet someone as wonderful as you." He said with a smile. That, and he would have laughed at anyone who said that he would have met a pheonix.

Arrayah looked down again, blushing and mumbled "I'm not wonderful... I'm not the one who saw something they didn't know existed and still stuck around. That's wonderful, me, I was just born." She shrugged but didn't look up.

David just smiled. Kissing the top of her forhead he huged her close. "All I am. Is smart enough to see, when something great comes to me." he said as he held her out at arms length. "Besides." He said tilting her head up once more, as he smiled warmly. "I did make you a promise."

"A promise you didn't have to keep. Many others have done the same. They all ran." She sighed, all of a sudden her urge to cry came back. The painful memories came upon her all at once, it was overwhelming.
