| Interest check Somewhere, anywhere, it didn't matter, that was her destination; and despite it being such a simple place it was still the biggest task to just get there. It seemed as if everything in the world was against each step she took, causing her body to shudder from the chill of a cool breeze that blew against her skin causing her dress and hair to flutter about her. Cradling her own body heat she took another deep ragged breath as her weariness began to betray her, causing her to stumble slightly along the asphalt beneath her. She knew it wouldn't be long before even her own will would be no match for the fatigue of her body, yet she needed to keep moving forward. The cost of a mere ounce of rest was too great else she be found, but she knew that to continue onward without taking time to gain back her strength would be just as harmful to her purpose. She let her eyes gaze along the emptied streetway she traveled, gazing on at every house, apartment building, and bush that wouldn't leave her exposed and would provide her some bit of shelter. The task was greater then it seemed due to the loss of unknown time. Whether it be morning of evening was lost on her, for the only hint she had was the starry sky that loomed over her gazing upon her as she begun to knock lightly on the doors that she passed, in hopes of someone hearing her pleas for help. It was as she neared another door that her legs gave out and her body slumped along the wall, resting a portion of her body on a welcome mat she could not see. Her mind willed her to keep moving, but she knew her battle was lost the moment she closed her eyes to the darkness.

A soft moan escaped her at the gentle touch of a being that remained unseen to her due to her inability to open her eyes once more. The feeling of the soft substance beneath her and the warmth that had overwhelmed he did nothing to help her with her battle against her own weakness. Deciding to trust the person who had been kind enough to shelter her, she gave out a relaxed sigh and succumbed to sleep.

Tobias sat there watching the young woman as she slept, unsure of what else to do. He thought that he should perhaps call the cops and alert the authorities but something told him that this woman was running from something or someone that could possibly find her if he was to alert them. Besides that he never really did trust the cops, power tripping bastards who think they can do whatever they want because they have a piece of metal that makes them feel invincible. It would just be best to wait for her wake up and then he could help her from there. Shame how people treat each other these days that a young woman would be forced to run in such a manner to end up in such a state on his doorstep. All well at least she was somewhere safe and warm, he thinks to himself as he moves to sit himself in his leather recliner. Curling up with the blanket he had there, yawning a bit before he drifted off to sleep.

The first thing that the young blond felt the moment she awoke was the flurry of panic that caused her to jump to her feet at the realization that she had fallen asleep. Her heart raced with released fear as she quickly let her eyes dart around her at the now lit room, the rays of dawn peaking in through the blinds to leave spots of light along the floor. It was as she looked the area over that she noticed the man who sat asleep in the recliner near her. Slowly she neared him, letting her eyes take in his appearance as she pushed her face close to his and began to let her hands roam along his face and play with his hair. He shifted his head at her touch, causing her to jump back slightly before continuing her examination. So this was the one who had helped her? Funny, with his gentle touch, she didn't really expect him to be male, but if he was kind enough to let her rest in his home, she would try not to let her fears overcome her.

Tobias felt something on his face, making him mumble and brush at it in his sleep. Shifting in the chair a bit he got his bad shoulder into a painful position and made him grumble a bit as the sensation of someone touching his face returned. "Stop it...." he mumbles again as he slowly starts to wake up; then his eyes snap open as he realizes that someone was touching his face. His eyes opening to meet blue ones and a face that he had yet to call familiar made him scramble back in his chair, "What the?!" the recliner tipping back from the sudden shift in weight making him go tumbling over the back of it. "OW!" he says in an annoyed voice, mostly with himself for over reacting as he sits up slowly to peek over the chair at his new guest. "Sorry if I scared you, but you kind of scared me with being so close and touching me and what not." he clears his throat a bit as he gets to his feet slowly grimacing a bit as he holds his right shoulder feeling the muscles groan and strain in protest against his movements. "I'm glad to see you are awake. I hope you do not mind that I brought you into my house, you seemed like you needed some help and...." Tobias shook his head and sighed, "I'm sorry I babble when I'm nervous." he hold out his hand, "I'm Tobias..." he says smiling kindly to the strange woman in his living room. |

The moment the man's eyes snapped open, she gave a reflexive yelp and jumped away from him and at a full sprint headed into the next room to peek in at him through the doorway as his chair fell back and he exclaimed his pain. She watched with curiosity at the sight of a pair of green eyes peeking back at her from the other side of the chair. The more he revealed himself and got to his feet, the further she let her body retreat behind the separating wall, still letting a fearful eye gaze onward at him. She looked him over fully now that he was standing, and from what she could tell, he seemed to be a great deal taller then her maybe even older, causing her to feel even more vulnerable due to her lack of physical strength. Still, his voice was kind and gentle and she couldn't helped but be lured to him, letting the upper half of her body lean out into the doorway. His kind smile urged her to give him some sort of response, so she gazed at his held out hand in almost a confused manner, before mimicking his gesture by holding out her own. She didn't believe she had a real understanding of what he intended though, because there had been quite a bit of distance between them and he seemed to be expecting something more from her.

Tobias lowered his hand and scratched his head nervously, "Um...well...." he stammers a bit as he tries to think about what to do next. Looking over at her he realizes just how small she is in comparison to himself, she also looked a bit younger; silently he prayed she was at least 18 because that would just open up a whole new can of worms should the police get involved. As it was he already felt horrible for scaring her the way that he did, though she also scared him with touching his face and being so close while he was sleeping. That was one of his biggest pet peeves, people messing with him while he slept. Had he not realized who it was at the last minute he might have swung at her, but his mind registered who it was at just the right moment and so instead he ended up fall over backwards in the chair. "My name is Tobias...." he says tapping his chest as he says his name, then points to her like he wanted to know her name. |

When Tobias turned his finger towards her, she gave him the expression of a confused puppy, tilting her head to the side questioningly before pointing to herself as well. It didn't take long for her to figure out what it was he wanted from her, and instead of giving him a proper response she ducked away from him and behind the door, furiously shaking her head as she did so. Speaking was one thing she refused to do and saying the curse that was her name was also. Figuring Tobias would be mad at her for not responding she shut her eyes in an attempt to brace herself from his wrath.

Tobias sighed his shoulders slumping a bit, as he ran his hand through his hair, "It's alright I'm not going to hurt you I just wanted your name. If you don't want to tell me that's fine, maybe later." his tone soothing as he tried to get her to come back into the room with him. "Well I guess I will call you Sunny, because of that sundress you are wearing." he says with a small chuckle then looks around the room trying to think about what to do next. Then he snaps his fingers, "Of course food. I bet you're hungry." he says with a happy tone as he leaves the living room, into the small dinning room and then finally into his decent size kitchen. Feeling a bit embarrassed by the sink full of dishes he starts looking in the fridge for something for Sunny to eat. "Are you even hungry Sunny?" he asked not really expecting an answer but talking for the sake of hearing his own voice in this somewhat odd situation. "Do you like eggs and bacon? I could make that for you....." he says going to the hall to look at her, "Or how about pancakes? I think I have some and may be able to make some for us for breakfast...." he looks at her waiting to see if he gets some kind of hint if any of this was making any sense to her.
