Unheard laughter echoed about the sky as Hollis passed through the air and all who didn't see him. For fun, he chose to pass through cars and people, watching as he left a trail of low temperature, causing all who came in contact with him to shiver and their hair to stand on end. The reactions just made him laugh before he went on to the next place or thing. So long had he been kept up in that room. The room with the girl who felt him the strongert. Each time he had been there he watched as her body stiffened and she began to look about warily. A few times he had even managed to touch her, and the surprise he had gotten out of her was most amusing. Lately he had tried to let her know of his presence a bit more by moving around things and reorganizing where she'd notice it most. Of course the first couple of times she just brushed it off, but when the items got bigger and more obvious he could see her non-chalance slowly form into curisity and curiosity into panic. He hadn't ment to scare her as much as he was apparently doing, nor did he intend for this thing to blow up into something as much as it did, causing her sanity to be questioned, but really that had mostly been her fault. If she had just remained silent and kept what he did between the two of them, then things would be alright, but that was not the case. She had reacted so strongly to everything that it made her seem crazy and at the same time urged him on to do more with her. Just her acknowledgement of what he did, made him feel like he still had something to offer someone, like he was still important, and he couldn't help but want to feel that again. Thus, he continued bugging her. Dead eyes gazed down at the structure beneath him, the old fashioned house that he had once called his own before the others started moving into it. The new family had of course been that of the girl and her father and since they had arrived there he found himself spending more time inside. Usually he didn't really enjoy being cooped up in the house and only stayed there when the night was out and everything got boring or he just didn't know what else to do. Now it was mor of a fun place to him. Wanting to see what he could get away with this time, he quickly flew down to the house entering into the room that he would forever call his. He spotted the cat run off at his presence and watched as the girl before him entered the bathrrom to wash her face, watching in curiousity as she tried to remain awake. She would usually be asleep right now. What was she trying to do?

Walking back into the room she looked around. She had that feeling again. She knew whatever was bugging her, was there. Frowning she looked around feeling a little jumpy, and truly afraid. She looked around the dark room, if she was going to do this she need light. There was no way in hell she was doing this with the lights off. She had seen a few horror movies and it's always dark when the scary parts happened. So the lights were coming on. Walking across the room she could feel it becoming colder in the room. She knew that every morning her room was like an ice block, but was the reasons for it because there was something in the room with her. She couldn't think of anything that made places colder, and couldn't be seen. Coming to the wall she placed her hands lightly on the side. Running her hands along she came to the light switch. Flicking it on with her finger she looked around the room, wrapping her arms around herself. It made her feel a little better about what she was doing. Maybe it would take away the fear that was running through her body, and she knew it was clearly showing she was afraid. She could just hope whatever was in the room wasn't too intelligent. Taking a deep breath she thought about what she was just abut to do. Maybe she really was crazy and if nothing happened after this. . . . She really would go to get help, maybe lock herself away. "Wh-who's there?" she stuttered out, looking around for anything to that would help her. Only right now she was so afraid she wanted to curl up into a ball and cry her heart out. If she did that her father would wake up and really thing she had lost is. Finally when over the edge and then why would say it was from the lost of her mother. There was no way she was going to let that happen. So she stood there and hoped whatever was in the room would talk, show themselves or do something to tell her she wasn't crazy.

A smile came to Hollis's face as he watched the girl move about the darkness to let her feel more comfortable. It grew wider the more time passed and the more obvious it became that she was aware of his presence. The look of fear and the shaking were usually always there when he was around someone when they were alone, always putting them on edge despite the face that that wasn't his intentions. When he heard he voice call out to him, he tried everthing in his power to not jump up and down and wail and celebrate. Instead, he looked on at her, and in a soft and as gentle a voice he said the onl thing he could thing of in response. "Hello."

Hearing a soft male voice come far no where, Jewel jumped in the air. She was very jumpy and she really didn't think anything was going to happen. She was still feeling on edge but not so afraid. After all if he wanted to hurt her, he would off already. How long was this voice in her room? This could be really bad and what if this was all in her head. After all her father already thought she was crazy. Looking around she didn't see anything- wait there was something. . . standing by her bed. It was just a white line of . . . .maybe a person. That when it clicked. Why hadn't she seen it before, he was a ghost. She was very opened minded to things like this and really didn't think they would be real. Nothing like this had ever happened before so why was it happening now. Too many questions came rushing to her mind, but first she need to see him, so she knew she wasn't just dreaming or crazy. "Who, are you? And what are you?" She asked the fear gone from her voice, but hadn't left her brown eyes yet. Part of her long wavy short black hair had fallen into her eyes, but she need didn't care about her hair right now. She was talking to a voice with no body, or a voice with a white outline of a body. But either way it was crazy and she wanted to know if this was real. She just couldn't take thinking she was crazy much longer.

Hollis just laughed before flying about the room. He had noticed her eyes locking on his position almost as if she could see him, but he didn't know whether it was the sound of his voice or the fact that she could see him that brought her gaze to where he was, so he decided to test it. He kept his eyes on her as he flew about the room, into the bathroom, through her now and again, until he stopped right next to her with smile on his face. "What do you think I am?" he spoke teasingly through his smile. The thought that she could hear him and was willing to converse with him, left him in a rather happy state. It had been ages since he had talked to another human... well... person, and the experiance was something he missed greatly.

Hearing a short laugh from the area of the white outline, Jewel jumped a little again. She didn't know what to do; should she stay?Or run and hide, because there was something very wrong about this. Only her thoughts them quickly changed for the white outline started to become clearer, and was moving -not good was all she could think. He, or it. Began to move about the room, going to her bathroom and then running right into her a few times, making her very cold and afraid. Placing her hands on her head, it was as if she thought it would safe her. Then a voice came from beside side her making her jump away. Looking at him, she could take in more of his detail. He had blond hair, which a little brown in it. His eyes were a to die for brown, that she would of found herself lost in if it wasn't for the fact she could still see through him. After taking this all in she found lost of words. "I-I-you-what.Umm, you-your a ghost?" She stuttered the question out, taking a step back. She was afraid, she never thought this could ever really happen and if he had been here since she moved in that wasn't good at all. She couldn't move her eyes away from the dead boy, she wasn't sure. Was it because he was dead? Or because of other reasons her brain couldn't come up with.Either way she new there was something very wrong right now, and she wanted to run away. So she took another step away- you never know he may not be nice.

Hollis just smiled to her as he gave her a small form of applause, clapping his invisible hands together and letting the sound filter about the room as he kept his eye on her. He noticed her wary expression in his direction and was well beyond pleased to discover that it was he she was looking at. "My name is Hollis," he spoke to her, "I would offer you my hand to shake, but I'm sure you'd know why that would be useless. Am I right, Jewel?" it was a bold decision on his part to use her name, since there was a chance that it would make her more fearful of him, but he had a feeling that she already knew that he had been with her before. He could only hope that his mischevious nature didn't seem like cruelty to her.

Was he clapping? She looked at him, unsure if it was because she had gotten it right, or he was just overly weird.Oh! Or maybe he was the crazy one, after all he was the living dead. God she was talking to a ghost that may not even be there. He seemed real, and looked real, and the cold was not just something that could happen. So maybe she wasn't really crazy and she is just over thinking too much. Yes that was it. Hearing his voice again she took another step back and watched him carefully, she didn't want him running through her again, or ever. It was just wrong on so many different levels. Bring her hand up she pushed back some of her short black wavy hair out of her brown eyes. She listen to him and surprise quickly ran it's way across her face as he said her name. Only she wasn't afraid, for so crazy reason. Taking a deep breath she calm herself down a little more and she need to come up with a reason and quick before she did start to freak out. How could he know her name. . . .Oh! Why didn't she see it before, he lived in the damn house. Of course he knew her freaking name. Looking around the room she took another deep breath. "Umm,Hollis." She felt funny talking to the air that happened to look like a boy and she was using it's name. She was really starting to hope this was a dream. "Ho-how long have you, er been here. Like, you know. . . like that." She said taking a few steps towards him, trying not to show her fear. She really didn't want to angry him, that could turn out bad. She then moved her hand up and tried to take a hold of his arm. Only something funny happened, she felt a very cold thing in her hand. Looking at her hand she found herself holding on to his arm. Jumping back she said "What the hell!? That is not cool. You-your-your not really here! I should just go right through you!" Her voice was a little loud but she wasn't thinking of her father at the time. She was thinking about a freaky that was and she never wanted it to happen again.

A smile left Hollis's face as he looked at the girl before him, slowly nearing him as she asked him her first question. "How long have I been dead?" he asked, his voice carrying over her shaken tones. He looked to the ceiling, pressing a finger to his chin as he tried to think over the years that had passed. "I would guess it has been a few decades or so, but I can'-" His voice stopped at the feel of something against him, the sensation somewhat new to him, caused him to jump away, flying to a ceiling corner as he looked beneath him to the girl who seemed equally surprised. He stayed there in the corner as he watched her stumble about her words, questioning whether she had intended to touch him or not. "Wha- What did you do?" he questioned curiously as he slowly neared her again.
