Skitzy:.You Can Run But You Can't Hide.:

A dark haired girl made her way down the motorway. The night cooling her skin. A backpack the only thing she carried with her, headphones in her ears. Phone in her pocket. Though she looked scruffy and worn out she still had a smile plastered on her face. It was calming out where she was apart from the sound of a car or truck going past every once in a while. Her converses trudged along the sandy ground, she normally sleeped during the day when it was warmest and travelled at night when it was coolest. Her backpack was heavy with everything she had decided to take with her. Grabbing her bottle of water she took a sip, not much left but she was sure when she reached the next service station she could easily nick a bottle to last her the journey. Yeah she didn't know where she was heading but she had to get away. Away from the past that haunted her. Light green eyes gazed upwards slightly, the night pitch black, the only thing luminating her way was the moon and the headlight of a random car going past. A heavy sigh escaped her lips. Her feet were sore and covered in blisters but she didn't care, she wouldn't stop walking.

The young girls name was Ivy. She was slim and well defined in the right places. Only sixteen but could take care of herself more than anyone else could. I will not give too much about her past away but for a reason she had to escape. Escape from the pain and the things that haunted her in her hometown. These things she kept to herself, it tortured her soul and heart, even her mind well of course of her mind. Her backpack began slipping off her shoulders till it was resting on the crook of her arm. Green eyes left the sky and began to concentrate on where she was heading. Where was she heading? Anywhere that they couldn't find her. They would be family, friends and anyone that she had contact with in her hometown. She would be sent back, no! That wouldn't happen.

As if proving to herself that she wasn't going to be sent back she began to run, anger in her eyes. It was so easy to get her angry about her past, things haunted her and pulled at her mind. Though Ivy seemed the delicate and fragile creature that was just an illusion. She was hotheaded, stubborn and defensive. Also a strong femanist. No man would control her life. Never! It was at the moment she felt her feet fly out from underneath her. Her backpack flying onto the floor. Her legs resting on something while the rest of her lay in the dirt. "Fuck sake!" She grumbled, staying where she was as she was exhausted at the moment. She would give it a minute or two before moving. It was properly just a rock or a dead animal or something.

The groan was the first response that Keith could bring himself to make as he slowly rolled himself over to look at the human or thing that had pretty much run him over in his sleep. The sound of swears came to his ear, causing him to chuckle slightly as he let lazy, tired eyes look upon what looked to be a female under the light of the moon.

"Watch were you're going, twerp," was the first thing his groggy voice could manage to say as he brought himself to a sitting position and slowly moved the person's legs off of his stomach. "Shit that fucking hurts," he spoke through a slight wince, this time not to the female as he turned his waist a bit and lifted up his shirt to look upon his slowly bruising side. He let a sigh escape his lips as he felt along the bones in his body and stretched a bit, knowing full well it was impossible for him to sleep when he knew there was another human being near by. His lack of trust always had a tendency to make him less then comfortable around another human being, especially that of the female gender, so he knew as long on this person was here, and aware of his presence, he wouldn't be getting back to sleep anytime soon.

"You're lucky I didn't break a rib," he continued as he scratched at the scruff upon his jaw, the light beard forming on his face causing his skin to itch slightly while grey tired eyes looked upon the creature before him with both annoyance and boredom.

Ivy snarled and pushed herself up from the floor and brushing herself down. "You! What about me?! I could have fuckin knocked myself unconsious or broke my leg!" She snapped at him. Blue eyes gazing down at the man. What the fuck was he doing there anyway? Was he homeless or something or just plain stupid to be camping out on the middle of a road? Watching him scratch his scruff her eyes looked him up and down. Considering he had been asleep only moments ago he looked wide awake now.

"What are you doing sleeping there anyway?" She was restless on her feet, always looking around to make sure that no one was behind her and so on. She was always doing this. Ivy was always quick on her feet, anxious and jumpy in case something happened or somebody who knew her appeared.

"Your carelessness isn't my fault," was all he said in reply to her first statement before slowly rising to his feet and picking up the bag he had been using as a pillow and slinging it over his shoulder as he had done so many times before. The moon had been good enough to hide his presence as he slept, but fate had decided to screw with the moon and cause it to go to waste thanks to a child with whom he could blame for the fact that he probably wouldn't be able to sleep in the same spot for the night. He would have to get moving again.

As he stood to his feet a bit, he found himself looking down at the shorter statured girl with a look of almost disappointment has he could slowly see just how young she was. "15-17," he mumbled to himself through a still groggy vocal as he looked her over, his presence towering over her own. That kind of thing was familiar to him though, it's what usually happened when someone had hit the height of six feet and had his build. He couldn't help but attract attention.

"I find no interest in explaining myself to a twerp who just stumbled upon me while I was sleeping," he spoke in response to her question as he stretched his back, causing the sound of popping to fill the silent night air. He rubbed at his eyes a bit before brushing his hands through his light brown hair and slapping his torn jeans and long sleeved shirt and hooded vest clean of any dirt and dust that had gathered upon him. "Now, tell me which way your heading, so I can go the opposite," he demanded rudely of her.

fShe glared at him as he called her a twerp yet again. Stupid man! What made him think he was so important because he was so tall or a little older than her. Bastard. They all were. Men acted like they were so important and could do everything themselves but they were so stupid and incompatent at times. Her bag slipped a little of her shoulders but she simply pulled it back up. Her green eyes glaring at him with anger. Yanking her headphone out of her ears and turning on her heel and heading off in the opposite direction.

She was about to get up in thats man face but she didn't want someone else on her case aswell. Stopping when she was a few steps away from him and looking over her shoulder. "Anywhere your not going to be!" She snapped back before placing her headphone back in and moving faster and faster. "Stupid man. Who does he think he is acting all high and mighty. Just cause he's maybe a few years older than me doesn't give him the right to treat with no respect." She grumbled under her breath. The moon shining down on her as her black hair whipped around her face. Exhaustion was all over her face but she kept moving. She could rest later. She had to go and get water first.

Keith couldn't help but chuckle, noticing how much he had managed to get under the girl's skin as she lift him. They couldn't help but want to turn to laughter as she responded to him with anger in her eyes, yelling her frustrations with him in his direction before turning back to where she was heading. It was when he knew that she had no intention of seeing him again that he let his chuckles dissipate with a relaxed sigh, before turning on his heel and heading in the opposite direction of her.

"Kids these days have no respect," he mumbled to himself aloud as he let his feet trudge along the side of the road in the direction from which she left. He could only hope with all his being that he wouldn't run into anyone else in the night, maybe then he could get some better sleep.

She began to stumble on but the lack of water was a nightmare. A frustrated groan escaped her lips as she turned to see the man wasn't that far from her. Ivy didn't need any help! She could look after herself but stumbling once and cutting open her jeans and with blood running down her knees she maybe needed help just this one time. Turning on her heel she began to sprint back towards the man. God she hated asking for help. She hated it even more than he was a stranger.

Catching up with him she grabbed onto his shoulder and spun him round. Fuck being polite, she was desperate. Her eyes looked into his, her body shaking with exhaustion and dehydration. "Do you have water! Please I need some!" She begged, needing his help for just this once. Her legs were in pain, blood running down.

As she begged for help it showed a side of vulnerability to her hard side. All her life she had fought for who she was and never showed her vulnerable side or admitted she needed help. This would be the first and last side this man would properly ever see her vulnerable side or so she hoped.

The surprise that came to Keith's face was also something that not many had seen for a long while, usually there wasn't much any expression besides the look of pure boredom that acted like a default and amusement and pain. Otherwise it didn't much distance from there, but he couldn't help it this time. The damn girl had startled him.

At first when he heard her footfalls coming at him, he thought that she may be one of the many enemies he had found himself gaining the longer he lived and braced fro a possible attack. He however did not expect her to turn him around and desperately plead for water from him. That was something that wasn't even in his mind set.

"Woah, woah," he began as he brought his hands up in the air, "Alright, alright, just back off a bit." As if to emphasize his discomfort he slowly and gently brought his hands up to his arms and removed her grip from him before dusting at his clothes and opening his bag to pull out a water bottle he had already been using. He popped the top before handing it to her.

"There. Don't drink all..." he stopped his slowly fading voice as his eyes caught sight of her badly scrapped up knees and he crouched down to get a better look at them. "This doesn't look good," he mumbled to himself as he caught sight of a piece of glass wedged deeply into her left knee while her right remained only with a few scratches. Wanting to get a better look, he quickly pulled a flashlight out from his bag and shinned it upon her injury, wincing almost instantly at the sight. "Do you feel that?"

Grabbing the drink from his hands, ignoring what he said or that he had just brushed her arms from his arms. She was too thirsty and was not willing to collapse in front of anyone and make herself feel anymore vulnurable than she already felt like she was. Her tongue lapped up the water and her body realished in the taste and the hydration of her body. Thank god she had bumped into him though she had hated it at first. Someone had helped her but soon she would be on her way and she would be fending for herself once again.

Seeing him kneel down and shine the torch on her knees and asking if she could feel something. Of course she could fucking feel it. It was in her knee after all but she hadn't noticed the glass that was sticking inside of her left knee. All she could feel was blood trickling down. "Of course I feel it! It doesn't matter though, it will work it's way out on it's own." She popped the top down on his water and handed it to him as he knelt down below her. "Thanks."

With a skeptical gaze, Keith grabbed for the water bottle and shook it slightly, noting the limited amount of water she had chosen to leave him with. Suspecting as much he let a sigh escape his lips as he gave her a sullen look. "You had to drink all of it?" he questioned in almost a childlike pout before putting the water away in his bag and turning his attention back to her knee.

"Maybe you dumbasses just need more water then the rest of us," he commented rudely as he let the gentle tip of his finger lightly pat at the glass in her leg. "This is not something that's just going to 'work it's way out'" he continued, mimicking her pattern of speech as he rose to a stand before he once more, his tall frame towering above her as he scratched at his head and looked down at her. "You should get yourself to a hospital or something, you might need stitches."
