Right, I am trying to revive a roleplay my friend and I created which had been going on for years. The main plot of the roleplay is based around the belief and activities of God and the Devil; the world it is set in is not ours but one where they both are very active in the world, the roleplay lasted over 2000 pages over 1 and a half years until we got stuck for inspiration. It was a one-on-one originally but I am planning on reviving it. There are Humans, the Blessed, and Demons;

Humans follow the teachings of God. The world they live in is one of peace and defense against the rising threat of Hell's Demons. They control the world through Kingdoms and "politicians" in a world of medieval bliss but with their own inspiration for inventions and glorious vehicles such as the steam-powered flying ship and the motorised carriage without the need of horses. They teach others the power of the Holy Light and can control it. There are another type of Human who don't follow the will of God but of the Zodiac and Orini; this type of Human are known as Shailanese.
The Shailanese are more traditional but with their darker skin they are easily picked out of the crowd. These Humans follow traditional magic consisting of potion mastery and the crafts of elemental mastery; they rarely visit the land of God and Hell but they are known to adopt their beliefs and magics in exchange for their own traditional ways, they have their own language compared to the Kingdomers but do learn their language because of the rise of tourism. Not all Humans are bound to God though or their own gods; there are many who follow the Devil in an attempt to gain great power and conquer.

Blessed are the ones specifically chosen by God to carry out his will and protect the other Humans from powers and Demons, carrying out his will and his teachings will ultimately land them a place as an Angel of Heaven. These people are exceptionally gifted and will always have a feature that will make them stand out from the rest whether it be a marking, a stray wing or colourful eyes. These people have extraordinary powers but are bound to God and cannot follow anyone else, especially the Kings and Queens. They consist of either the Kingdomers but rarely there will be a Shailanese amoungst their ranks; unfortunately, due to their own people's beliefs they will have a very hard time being accepted due to the fact one is born every decade.
The Blessed are very special people although they do have their own troubles, due to their significance to the normal Humans they are often hunted for 'parts' by Witchdoctors, Cultists, Bounty Hunters and Ritualists who follow the dark arts and worship the Devil for greater power. Heaven's time moves a month every Human year that passes, their movement of time is a lot slower but God is unaffected by time and remains all seeing and knowing; the Blessed are often known as God's Miracles.
There is one special type of Blessed; the Prophets. These people are born with the ability to manipluate the Holy Light and summon creatures of magic; their main gift is their ability to foresee into the future which can be identified by a sudden white light brighting up their eyes. They have to save and protect using this ability, the greater their deed the greater the chance they have to become a High-ranked Angel instantly and forever become beings of incredible powers; unfortunately, they don't have their entire Human life-span to do this for if they don't do it before the age of thirty they will die...it is unknown what happens to their soul after they die.

Demons are the minions of the Devil. Born from Lucifer himself they are known widely as the Spawn of Hell. Unknown to how they are born exactly, they appear in the darkest times of the Human world and cause great destruction and misery. Their attacks are completely random and their shapes and sizes vary; most kinds are humanoid while many disguise themselves as Humans to get closer to them, although, their eyes can usually tell them out if not the horns and/or tail they may possess. All Demons have the 'gift' of transformation whether it be of a great animal, monster or manipulation of power. There are many 'rebel' Demons out there; those who try to fit in with Humans are usually those who were once Human until they died and were reborn simply because their sins overpowered their good deeds.
The realm of Hell has a different movement of time compared to the Human world which moves at one month per minute of the Human world; it moves at the same speed but because Hell is a different realm it has a completely different date-line...it is no wonder the Demons get bored and enjoy terrorising the human world a lot. They are a very mysterious race and very little is known about them in the Human world other than they often cause death and destruction.

With that said and done I'm sure you can get the idea of what it might be about. I already have several characters but my main character is one called Shoki. He is a Blessed who was born Half-Demon. Shoki was supposed to be born as Gabriel, the ArchAngel of God and his Left-hand to whom is born every 1000 years to spread judgement. Before he was born his parents were visited by a strange cultist who, with Demons by his side, tainted him for him to be born to be Satan's heir; he is two-sided with one side being demonised and his other being one of a Blessed although every Sunday he will become completely Human due to Sunday being the day where the Holy Light is at it's strongest. Even though he may have the powers of a Blessed, his Demon powers are a bit more reluctant to be controlled resulting is drastic, almost uncontrolled transformations and a split-personality. I will wait until I get some responses before I give his completed character sheet and even a picture.

The position of "Right Hand of God" is not open but everything else is open; the reason being is if my best friend who played the Right Hand was to come and join in she would automatically be given the position due to the roleplay already existing as a 1x1 before.

Humans, Blessed or Demons are the base races but if you can come up with a valid race then do tell me first (there's been Vampires and Werewolves in the story before). Due to the nature of the roleplay it will most likely be High Casual/Low Advanced or even completely Advanced depending on who's wanting to do it. It is a completely original roleplay except the belief systems involved of course.

I would very much like this to happen as a roleplay as it took forever to think it up over the year or so! The plot of the roleplay can be allowed to progress with other people's ideas and how they wish their characters to progress whether it be background stories or completely "over the top but realistic in this world" type of story.

PLOT

The world had been in for some change for a long time; Humans were beginning to create new devices and disregard their religion and heritage. Never has a world been so in tune with their Gods before but the sheer scale of attacks from Demons and evil beings has caused the world to escalate into a state of maddness for humanity and the control of lands. The Demons came centuries ago, from the odd attack from a minion to the sheer scale of battlefields filled with Humans versus Demons in a battle for dominion over the surface world. After long and hardiness battles the Humans always had a trick up their sleeve and pushed the Demons back to Hell where they belong; their trick was the presence of Humans with extraordinary gifts from God known simply as Blessed.

For centuries, the Blessed has kept the world in check of Demons. Their presence has forever been dominating the world despite their so few numbers when comfonting the great armies of Hell; however, as the centuries have passed they've began to dwindle in number. Humans themselves were beginning to kill them in a bid to claim glory for their own dark masters; Humans were beginning to turn to the darker side of faith and become minions themselves to The Great Beast. As the Blessed became a rarity so did the faith in God amoung the Humans to whom they believed to be salvation and the key to a glorious afterlife. Humans began to use their gifts for their own personal gain, their own greeds and virtues; it was beginning to look like a bad road for religion.

The Humans continued to take matters into their own hands, building machines to combat against the growing number of Demons. Nobody could understand why the Demon's numbers had increased dramatically but the Humans continued to fight and push them back; they thought all was well until Demon Generals began to appear all under the name of the Seven Sins. The land the Generals walked upon would become instantly corrupted, Demons would begin to spawn and great armies turned into great civilisations full of Demons. It was looking grim for the Humans as now their world was beginning to be taken over by the Demons. Nobody knows the origin of these Generals and why they are specifically named after the Seven Sins. Rumours and tales were beginning to spark up that God created them himself, other rumours told that Lucifer, the King of Hell, had created them personally to take over the surface world. With large areas of the world being lost to these Generals, Humans, Blessed and even Demons themselves began to take action against them with both the belief that God had sent them for judgement and re-creation and the wonder whether Lucifer had sent them as a final act to take over the world and create it in his own eyes.

This is it so far as a small plot overview but if anybody else had any other plans for it I am willing to add it in. I'm hoping the roleplay will be not only controlled by me but controlled by everyone equally in terms of story and progress. I don't want it to become too overly controlled by myself incase my ideas begin to run dry; the roleplay was originally a split effort with both people throwing ideas into it so I don't want people to end up feeling controlled and left out.

The Demons were ⅓ of the Angels of Heaven that followed Lucifer when he rebelled against God. There ya go, LOL.

To be on-topic, though, I'm interested.

Oh, two questions, though:

Will the Blesseds loyal to God have God-given power (similar to the powers of healing given to the Apostles in order to spread God's word)?
And why did you include Cultists, Bounty Hunters, etc. as being Blessed when they clearly don't follow God?

Heheh no no I didn't include them as being Blessed, I just said they hunt the Blessed; sorry if that wasn't clear, I was tired when I typed it all up ^^;

Also, you've gotten the idea of the demons part and Lucifer and why they're fighting a war with the Blessed pretty much :P

I'll type the plot tomorrow, thanks for replying at least but it's late here and don't have the time to type it up just now so be sure to look out for it ^^

The plot is a starting point for larger prospects, but what I put up was the main plot so yarr! People who join are free to make their own plots to go along with the main story ^^
