Yes they do, they have more power than normal people and are more in touch with God; they can pretty much create miracles whether as Humans cannot although, Humans use more machines than the Blessed do mainly because they have a use for it.

I might be a Blessed...Alexander Anderson style.

The sort of machines present are machines that you can come up yourself, or the type of machines I described on the first post. I don't want to control every aspect in the roleplay so it's up to you what type you want in the end...just not the futuristic wierd stuff like you'd see in Family Guy or something; more like traditional Final Fantasy style you'd get or Golden Compass.

Since you seem all for adding to the great foundation you already have, here goes my attempt at a character. I started out with an idea for his history and it kinda snowballed from there, didn't realise how long his background was till I finished writing it.

Touve Kalesh
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Species: Human, Shailanese

Powers/Gift: Touve is a gifted spellslinger, particularly when it comes to the elements. Fire, wind, water, earth, He has learned to take all of those and use them as weapons against demons and men. He also has a grounded education in the dark arts and swordplay but doesn't have as much talent for them.

Personality: Touve is a somewhat open minded person, despite his early life. This has only become much more apparent since his 'death'. He has a natural charismatic streak that he used to ruthless efficiency in his former life but now uses in a more relaxed manner. When it comes to getting the job done Touve will do whatever it takes for the most part,things such as killing hundreds are nothing to him if it accomplishes his goal.

Description: Still working on this. Has a pentagram birthmark Pearl white in colour covering most of the right side of his neck.

Background (optional): Touve was born to parents that followed hell almost fanatically in a like minded community. As a result, Touve was brought up the same way, after all it was pretty much all he knew. Early childhood was a sheltered existence where the elemental arts and weapons training were taught to him with a ruthlessness that almost matched what was done to the sacrifices he saw brought into the community from time to time. All the while he was told he was marked for great things by the dark lord himself. The evidence of this his parents claimed was a pentagram birthmark covering most of the right of his neck. Touve grew up believing all this for simple lack on any contradictory information.

By age twelve Touve had become skilled with elemental magic and proficient in the use of blades, owed more to a natural gift and his own dedication to learning rather than the harsh way he had been taught. He had also started lessons in the darker arts, however his skill with them paled compared to his skill with elements. He was beaten frequently during these lessons for not 'living up to his potential'. Initially he took the beatings in silence, believing he was actually deserving punishment. After a few years however he started using the dark arts on the teachers that beat him. after a few of them died the beatings stopped, those remaining deciding provoking Touve was the bigger risk than him not being the master of the dark arts they wanted him to be, that they believed his birthmark promised he would be.

In his late teens Touve had started to learn greatly about the world outside the community and not just through the tinted view of the others in the community. He would take some of the prisoners brought in for sacrifice aside from time to time, ask probing questions. It was then he learned how to use his charismatic nature to get people to open up. From the prisoners he discovered that most 'truths' he learned as a child were not all they seemed to be, that not everything he was told about what those that didn't follow the dark lord believed was simply wrong.

Around age twenty Touve found himself in the armies of the demon general Wrath. His training early in life allowed him to climb the ranks rather quickly as he proved his worth to the general in battle after battle. Eventually he was put in command of a third of Wrath's army. Yet despite his success he felt there was more for him to come. He thought about trying to replace Wrath a few times, but while he was strong for a human he couldn't hope to match a demon general let alone control his army if he did by some miracle win. and so he stayed in his position below Wrath for a few more years.

Touve was about twenty five when the next major event of his life happened. He was sent into battle against a kingdom army, he had numbers on his side, demons and men under his control, the kingdom army shouldn't have stood a chance. Problem was the kingdomers had a Blessed leading their forces. The death toll on both sides was high with Touve losing most of the demons and all but a handful of men by the time he prevailed, at least that was the report his second gave to Wrath when he returned. Touve himself was considered dead during the battle, struck down by a kingdomer as he delivered the killing blow that defeated the Blessed, ensuring victory for the remaining demon forces.

As it happened Touve awoke about a day after the battle with his wounds healed (His birthmark turning pearl white in the process) and a faint memory of the blessed on his knees in from of him, Touve's sword through his chest while his eyes flashed a bright white, moments later a sword ran him through as well. One thing he was sure of thought, if the faint memory was to be believed he could not return to service under Wrath or any of the other demon generals. With no knowledge of the final result of the battle returning would be risky on that basis alone, punishment for losing so much of the forces under his command was sure to be death even if he had won. Add to that the complication that he should be dead and seemingly was saved by a prophet. No, he couldn't go back.

Since then Touve has tried to stay out of the fighting, not knowing why the prophet had saved him he dared not let Wrath know he was still alive and by a similar token kept himself hidden from those against the generals for he had been a known figure in Wrath's army and likely as a kill on sight target.
