Default Have you ever...

Have you ever been so caught up in a book that it begins to affect your everyday thoughts and actions? If so what book? Why were you so caught up with it? How did it change your behavior or views on the world?

Neversfall by Ed Gentry.

The setting is just so gloomy, with murder and intrigue left and right. Any shadow can bring you face to face with danger or an enemy. The main character is rash, and still in the failing attempt to be noble and is a trained mercenary. Just a nice gloomy, keep you on your toes outset through out the whole book.

It really has been keeping me on my toes. I jump at the slightest noise. I stalk around my house completely silent. I've found myself eying my practice sword [YES people, I DO have a practice sword ] and I even punched a co-worker in the stomach today for sneaking up on me XD The book has just put me on such an edge lately. It's awesome

This isn't exactly the same, but...

I read a short story not long ago by George R. R. Martin that was about a guy who makes a machine with which he give his current mind to himself when he was younger (a sort of time travel).

Not only is this the basis for a post I just made on this website...

But the other day while on the bus I zoned out (had no recognition of the world around me) for approximately half an hour because I was so absorbed considering the dynamics of such an invention and how it would effect time and reality.
