Hell, RagingFury, videogames taught me economics. I'm taking a college course on it now and passing with a 99.9% in the class with no other prior knowledge.

Better response time! It was proven that gamers have faster response times than non-gamers.

Well, I've heard anadotal evidence of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time helping autisic children with their social skills and reading comprehension.

Know it worked for me...

Better hand eye coordination definitely.

Oh and a longing for hot guys who will never exist because they're stuck inside my TV.

Oh, well, they loosen up the nerves, and my urgent need to vent anger, so, if I'm ever pissed off, killin' virtual thingies in the most destructive way possible helps me to get rid of that unnecessary pent-up rage.

It's also a lot of fun.

Well let's see, I think I learned right and wrong from video games, tactics, strategy, most of my driving experience I got from arcade racing games (when I started driver's ed I just needed to learn to use the brakes more often :P).
When I first started with video games, it helped me learn reading, writing, and mathematics (my parents wouldn't buy me anything other than educational games for many years).
Also like Mikodite, a combination of video games, tv and Roleplaying games helped me to develope social skills.

Awesome job guys, keep it coming!

An anecdote from myself:

As a young kid in elementary school, i was often picked on a LOT. whenever i got home, id immediately pick up a nice first person shooter or an early GTA model and blast the CRAP out of every enemy on screen. and i would calm down, and even begin to laugh a little. thats when it hit me, a truth of life: Violence is both calming and theraputic. who knew?

Believe it or not, the mortal kombat/soul caliber/street fighter games all taught me how to fight.

I don't do any sort of martial art, but I'm a fecking tornado of pain when it comes to laying down some hurt.

I've got a great sense of hand-eye coordination(I can juggle!) I'm fast enough to see a jar falling off the counter out the corner of my eye, and catch it before it gets passed my knees.

I'll think of moar latar..me es tired right now.

I've learnt my english from video games. Thanks to games with well developed stories my imagination and storytelling skills are pretty good.

Also, team based games like DotA increased my social and tactical skills. Not to mention the entertainment and fun you have while playing with friends or going to contests and championships.

Negatives: Too much time spent in front of the pc or playstation makes other people think we don't have lifes. I've been trying to understand that statement, but oh well... Also, facial hair grows faster in front of the pc. :P
