I would assume that the Ordo Hereticus and Sisters of Battle would be primarily concerned with clearing out the Hive from top to bottom. Depending on how big the daemon infestation would be, Malleus and Grey Knights could be involved as well. IG is always present and in massive numbers from everywhere.

Deathwatch would probably be fighting back the Orks with assistance from another chapter or IG regiment, as they are capable of requisitioning that.

Also, Imperium will ally themselves with Xenos and such. But VERY rarely, they abhor the alien, the mutant, the heretic. Etc. Eldar are probably the most possible allies because they've fought Chaos together before. But generally it's Imperium on their own.

I doubt that Ordo Hereticus, Ordo Malleus and Sisters would be involved in this event it seems something that would not warrent any of the above listed armies intrest. There is no demonic Incursion so Ordo Malleus would not get involved. and while Ordo Hereticus might be intreasted in the Chaos presance I think they wouldnt be as intreasted in it because the followers of chaos are not intreasted in spreading their corruption somuch as they are trying to hide.

And uh, followers of Chaos would count as a reason to have an Inquisitor handy.

Malleus would get involved if chaos was mutating tyranids, it's a small step from mutant to demon in the eyes of the inquisition and it's not too big of a jump to believe it. Anyone who saw a chaos mutated Nid would think demon first, very few of the imperiums citizens have ever seen a nid first hand and survived.

I'll be using a Adepta Sororitas force brought in by an Inquisitor of the Ordo Hereticus. Will have a couple of karskin as a personal retinue for my Inquisitor, Like Neve from The malleus section of the Eisenhorn trilogy.

I think I'll do a Scout Marine squad, if memory serves they are lead my a veteran Sargent. I guess it all depends on what marines people want to be. I don't really have a preference.

Well, and here I find myself torn. If we need someone to play the baddies, I'll be happy to throw my lot in with the dark gods of Chaos.

If not, a Grey Knight squad sent to deal with these 'demons' for the Ordo Malleus might work. I could pull Iron Hands, too, if grey knights don't fit.
