((I'm sorta getting anxious to get to the exams, so I'ma gonna do a time skip.))
Hanako watched Deidara fly away. He's good... So that's the level of an Akatsuki member. It's amazing. Hanako thought with a small shiver. I have to get better, so I can fight these people. She then turned to the others. "Is everyone all right?" When she received a nod from everyone gathered, Hanako once again returned her attention to the small speck on the horizon that was Deidara. Hanako spoke, still watching the receding speck of color. "We need to train harder." She didn't have to explain what she meant by those words. __________________________________________ Hanako stood outside the building where the first part of the exam was going to take place. She had gotten there early, as she wanted to see the competition. Various ninjas walked around outside, they had also come to the building early. Suddenly Hanako heared a sneer behind her. "Heh, look at the little kiddie. Is your older sibling here to take the exams?" Hanako turned around to see a shinobi looking down at her. He was from the Village Hidden in the Rain, if his headband was anything to go by. Hanako narrowed her eyes. If this was a normal day, she could have kept her temper, but she was anxious about the exams and still distressed from the run-in with Deidara. She took a step towards the ninja, who was still looking at her with a sneer on his face. "You want to try me?" The Rain ninja's sneer turned into a glare. "You think you can beat me? I'll show you what happens when you challenge me, punk!" He ran at Hanako, taking a kunai out of a pouch at his waist. The ninjas around him leapt back, looking with alarm at Hanako. Despite the situation, Hanako didn't look worried. Right when the Rain ninja was about to slash her with the kunai, she hopped to the side and gave his extended arm a small push. This sent the shinobi off balance, and he flew into the ground. "Look, I'm not in a good mood right now. I'm waiting for my teammates, so don't try to attack me again." Hanako sat down on a nearby bench, allowing a slight smile to creep across her lips. This exam is going to be fun, she thought as she waited for Ryutsuki and Kita.

Ryutsuki had made a full recovery from the encounter with Deidara just before the exams and was now waiting at the building. He noticed someone jump at Hanako with a kunai, before he could react himself, he saw Hanako gently push him down. He smirked and walked over, he pulled the guy off the ground and held his mouth to the guy's ear, "Screw with my team again, and you'll be going to hell sooner than you thought..." he whispered with a purposful maniacal tinge in his voice...

Hanako looked up and grinned. "Hi, Ryutsuki. You ready for the exams?" Just then, the doors opened up in the examination building. A jonin stepped out, and after a glance at the assembled ninja, said, "All of you may enter now. Go to the first room on the right, and wait there for the rest of the applicants to come." Hanako stood up from the bench. She followed the rest of the people inside, taking a glance at the proctors who were already inside the room. She decided to take a seat at the far back table, so she could see all of the applicants. Hanako couldn't help feeling a twinge of nervousness as she took a seat. There are a lot of shinobi here, she thought. I wonder how many of them will actually pass. As Hanako waited for the rest of the applicants to arive, she focused on the proctors in the room. There were a lot of them, each stationed around the perimeter of the room. Why are there so many of them? Hanako wondered, then returned her attention to the gathering shinobi. They were starting to form small groups, whispering nevously among themselves. Hanako glanced around the room. Apparently Naruto and Sakura weren't here yet. Hanako sighed and decided to wait for Kita and the rest of the applicants.

Ryutsuki smiled, "Yeah, I'm ready... I'm going in and finding a seat." he said as he slid into the crowd and into the building. He walked easily through the crowd, If I need help any day, it's today, gramps... he thought silently to himself as his grandfather's spirit kept enough of a pace for third person sight...

Yori strolls into the exam room whistling a bit of a gig he remembered from his younger days with his pa. Upon getting inside, he get out of his memory and notices all the small groups of people now there. Able to pick out the other 2 Mist ninja's that were sent to "keep an eye" on him during the exam. They fondly called their duty "losing the lottery" every so often, but they mostly tried to keep as much distance as they could from him without violating their orders.
He continues his whistling, hoping to draw some minor attention to himself and seem like easy pickings for later in the tests. He walks up to a desk near the front of the room, to keep himself in full sight for as long as possible before sitting and stopping his whistling. He even goes as far as to seem relaxed in his seat, just waiting for the exam to begin. Pulling out a small notebook, he begins to read some notes from it and take glances around the room. The notes are just minor descriptions of high profile targets he is supposed to observe while they fight to try and decipher a weakness in their style, and he begins to remember faces and who they remain around for later. Knowledge can mean the difference of life and death, that lesson he had etched into his memory and with good reason.
