Frozen wasteland
The king of Curin was very popular, and the kingdom was very peaceful. But when the king died, there were fueds over who would take over the throne. Now, 500 Years later, a handful of people are left on the entire planet, the planet now a huge barren ball of ice, with small acre patches of grass.

He now only has the clothes he wears and the axe he holds. he has become battle hardened in his time alone.
