Lucy walked to her left with the doctor and then continued down the long corridor. When he spoke, she had to look up at him, being a few inches shorter than he was. ''Well I've seen the movie, and read everything else in any history book'' she replied to him. It was true she had, but actually being aboard the Titanic was a different thing altogether. ''Why do you ask?'' she then asked him.

"There was a book," He began, "Written fourteen years before the Titanic sailed, long before she was built, about the biggest ship in the world, called the Titan, which hit an iceberg and sank," He cocked an eyebrow, "Bit of a coincidence there, you think? Well, downstairs, in the cargo, hidden under a car, is an Egyptian mummy, nobody knows it's there except the man who brought it, because he was afraid they wouldn't let it come aboard, bad luck and curses and all that, but, as the Titanic sinks, several eyewitnesses claim to have seen it on the deck,"
He looked at her, "People claim she was cursed, doomed from the very beginning, superstition didn't sink this ship, I want to know what did, this is something you're not gonna learn from a History book," He was thinking baout the man who had approached him earlier, in the dark cloak, with the voice that made him horribly uneasy.

"Why?" The Doctor said, "It's just a mummy, no I've been to Ancient Egypt, it's about as mysterious as a cheese sandwich, no, we're going to the kitchens, still got that psychic paper?" He asked, "Allons-y,"

The Doctor nodded and they made their way down to a noisy room, and the Doctor could tell by the steam on the windows that it was hot in there.
"After you?" He asked, then added, "Maybe not," As a very large-sounding man swore violently inside. He pushed the door open and the hot, sweaty people turned to look at the new arrivals. "Who are you?" The large man asked. "John Smith, Health and Safety Inspector, and this is...Joanne Rowling, my apprentice," The man looked dubious, "We've already been checked, do you have credentials?" "'Joanne', my wallet, if you please..." The Doctor said in a mock-tone that suggested status and disdain.

Lucy followed him down the corridor and towards the kitchen and followed him inside until they were met by a large man. She looked at him and then at the Docotr as he explained who they were and then she passed the Doctor the ''wallet'' when he asked her to.

The Doctor smiled and flipped the wallet open, displaying his 'credentials', they seemed to impress the man, as the Doctor knew they would, because he said, "So, what do you want?"
The Doctor hesitated before replying, "To ask you a few questions, like, when you first boarded this vessel, did you see anything interesting or unusual, any people dressed peculiarly, things hidden under cars, anything?" The man shrugged, "Always people dressed funny in't there? Maiden voyage and all, they seem to be wearing cloaks this time, never know where fashion will take us next," He snorted and wandered away. The Doctor spent a few minutes pretending to check rat traps, really, he was looking for anything unusual about the kitchens. "No passenger would come down here you see, perfect place to hide something, only better would be the engine room,"
