As they walked, Leah stared at the ground, the plate heavy in her hands.
"You know, I never expected to make any...friends, here," she said quietly, unable to stop a small smile flitting across her face for a second. "But I'm kind of glad I came. I don't think I'd have spoken otherwise. Just...do we ever have to talk to the other people around here? I was thinking they'd make us do group activities. Kind of worrying, actually." Pausing, she turned her head up to look at the sky. At times like these, it felt worth it to be alive.

Rayne looked over at Leah as she walked back towards the gray building. She surely hadn't expected to make friends here either. It sort of surprised her that she actually started talking to Leah. She had the mindset when she got here that she wouldn't talk to anyone because they couldn't force her to. But all that had changed.
"Um...Unfortunately, I think we do have to talk to other people. And we're probably going to have group meetings." She gave a little sigh. She wasn't looking forward to that part of treatment. She would have been happy wandering around on her own, but then how would she get better? Part of her wanted to be happy again; to be the old Rayne. But part of her also liked the pain and the nightmares and refused to be told that she needed help. It hadn't been Rayne's decision to come here, and she had been worrying this whole time what sort of things they'd make her do. She opened the front door for Leah and nodded for her to go inside.
