Talinn was sitting at his desk in his study room, reading from a book entitled 'Vampire Bloodlines', brushing up his knowlege on the various vampire clans when a strange looking envelope came floating in through his window. Yet the odd part is that the envelope come floating in of it's own accord, as if carried by an invisible hand. "Obviously from someone of a supernatural background" he thought to himself. He turned the envelope over to find it sealed with the crest of a wolf standing in front of the moon. "Definitely from someone who has ties with wolves. A werewolf, I wonder..." Talinn opened the envelope and took out the letter, reading it quietly to himself. I am Halley Halfblood, I am a werewolf... The opening line brought a smile to Talinn's face, having guessed the origins of the author correctly. He continued to read the letter, finally putting the letter back in its envelope and placing it on his desk when he had finished reading it. "A half-werewolf, hey?" he said aloud to himself, his voice shattering the silence of the small study room of which only he occupied, "Should be interesting and prove to be some excellent field research too." The soft sound of the fluttering of paper from his desk caught his attention. The envelope had resealed itself and drifted passed him as he stood there watching it return out the window from whence it had come. Yet he was only slightly surprised, after all, having seen it come in by itself in the first place and also dealing with supernatural forces on a regular basis, this really was not entirely unusual. He gathers a few things into a bag in preparation, then says allowed to himself "Well, to Lycan Manor" and heads out the door of his study room. A large, yellow taxi pulled up in front of the gates seperating Lycan Manor from the outside world. The door clicked open as Talinn stepped out from the taxi carrying a silver briefcase with him. He turned back to the open door and leans in to pay the fare, not saying a word to the driver. He then proceeded to shut the door and turned to face the Manor. The taxi took off behind him and drove back down the driveway, then exited the property. Talinn, staring up at the manor gates, felt as though he should announce his arrival to the residents, though he could see no intercom system or any other such methods for doing so. Halley watched out of the window at the rising moon when she noticed a taxi pulling up outside the manor, could it be? she asked herself, that someone found my letter and has come to help. She got up from the windowsill and quickly donned one of her victorian style dresses on and walked down the stairs from her bedroom and emerged from the manor house, her mousey hair catching the moonlight as she walked towards the gate. She reached the gate after a moment, regarding the stranger warily before opening the gate, "welcome to Lycan manor," she said warmly, "I'm Halley Halfblood." She extended a hand to Talinn and smiled.

Talinn took Halley's hand and shook it, returning the smile. "It's a pleasure to meet you" he said kindly, retrieving his hand one they had greeted, "I hope I can be of help to you, although I have to admit I have heard nothing of the like before. It does somewhat fascinate me so to meet someone such as yourself."

"I guess I'm the only resident here who wishes to be normal," Halley replied with a light sigh, "the rest embrace it and what it does for them. I hate it personally, it killed my mother and cursed me for life. I am glad that the letter reached someone that I assume has a knowledge of the supernatural world. Come, it isn't safe to be out here for much longer, some of the others are out tonight roaming, I won't change tonight unless I am exposed too long to the moonlight."

Halley gave a smile as she placed a hand on Talinn's shoulder, leading him into the house, "I've sent other letters out, to maximise the chances of someone coming, although I am glad it did arrive quickly to you," she said as she opened the front doors, "I have prepared a room just in case of your arrival, it's away from the other residents in the same wing I stay in, that way they won't harm you, and I can make sure that they behave."

"Yes, it probably is best that we maintain some distance from the other residents" Talinn replied. "Although I'm intrigued to know how you are able to make them behave, from the experiences I've had, it's near impossible" he said, smiling, obviously making an attempt at humor. He gestured for Halley to enter the doors before him. "Ladies first."

| Adeline ran as fast as she could to keep up with Beoru. She never really was very good at running... Her body just wasn't built for speed like Beoru's was. She knew he was holding back, too. Which kind of...pissed her off. She scowled, and pushed her body an inch faster, just to show her mate who was boss. She spotted an overhang and grinned, angling her body toward it. She climbed it at top speed and jumped. Her wings folded out from inside her body, forming like magic at her shoulder blades, and she roared as she took off into the air. And that's when it hit her. Something slapped her in the face, knocking her off balance and shoving a rather strange mixture of scents up her nose. She smelled a werewolf, and a human, and something else... Ivy? The ink was rather expensive. She grabbed the letter in her mouth and fluttered down in front of Beoru, who had stopped near a small stream. "Addie? Addie, what is it?" at first, he was worried, but then he saw the piece of paper in his mate's mouth. "What is that?" he asked. "Did you think it was a bird or something?" He started to laugh, but Adeline's serious face, flattened ears, and narrowed eyes told him it wasn't a mistake, and he promptly silenced himself and straightened his face. Adeline dropped it. "I'm not sure what it is, Bay," she whispered. "It smells so strange." She passed it to him. He took a strong whiff of it and sneezed. "It smells like a human and a werewolf!" he exclaimed. "What in the world is it?" "Do you smell the expensive ink?" she asked. "Yes, it must come from somewhere rich, perhaps a mansion." "I'll tell the others. Go toward town and see if you can pick up any of these scents. Maybe we can find who sent this." Beoru took off toward the city where his mate's twin brother and wife were touring. Adeline took to the skies and called her brother telepathically. Ah, the perks of being super-human twins. "Adriel, come. You know where to find me. I have something you need to see."

Halley smiled and walked inside, holding the door open for him, "I just give them a shot of wolfsbane if they misbehave around this time," she said, "causes serious pain problems for the unfortunate person, thankfully it doesn't have that strong a effect on me." She flicked the light switch on, bathing the dark hallway with light.
