Alexis quickly turned round to where the voice had come from, a frightning wolf-man was standing before her. She held her staff at him, and it glowed a dark red protecting the little cub she asked "Who are you? You stay away from him, if you're going to hurt him you'll have to go through me first" She threatened with a shakey voice.

Mentally she told herself off "What had dad always said? Don't get distracted by cute things and keep to the shadows" Fat lot of good that advice was as she waited nervously for the stranger to reply.

After a few hours of bargaining with the merchants for the good's the order needed odds and ends mostly a few choice items such as rare spices and herbs Silo was done with his shopping and it would take at least a day for the merchandise to be loaded into the ship. There were a few coins left in his money purse as the merchants where easy enough to confuse about the prices, he did not like to do that to people trying to make a living but some of the prices where just out right robbery.

"Time for this old man to get a cool drink and some food." He thought to himself as he made his way to the Good fountain tavern a place he liked to visit when he was in Tressa. It was midday now and the sun was hot and the city was buzzing with life. As he rounded a corner of a big warehouse lost in thought as he often was he walked right into a wolf-man knocking the walking stick from his hand. Odd, he thought to himself as he bent down to retrieve his walking stick I have not seen any of their kind for a long time he also noticed the wolf-man was standing next to a young Elf woman who was holding a pup of some kind and a glowing red staff as if there may be some kind of confrontation.

"Sorry" he said as he stood up from retrieving his walking stick "I am afraid my mind was somewhere else at the time and I did not see you standing there." He stood erect at a mere 5’7 "My name is Silo and who might you two be?" Totally unaware of the fact that people where moving away from the three of them.

After a while, Kethol found himself around the dock area again. Thankful for not seeing any guards around, he visibly relaxed a bit. But that relaxed feeling left as a glowing staff caught his attention, and the attention of most of the people around. Most of them began to scatter, hoping to get away from a fight, possibly to even get the guards, others getting distance away from the elf with the staff and the wolf-man to watch.

Kethol not being more then ten feet away, wondered what to do now. Back away, stay and watch, or run as far as possible...and his curiosity and old habits caught him and he just stopped and watched for the moment. If a fight breaks out, his old habits would have him helping the woman(damn that weak spot of mine!) and hopefully have enough time to run when the guards show up. Kethol takes a few paces back to get in the shade so it is less noticeable as he gets a firm hold on his rapier and main-gauche, keeping them sheathed, but ready to be drawn if the need arises.

Alexis became aware that some other people had come into her sight, but both looked harmless enough one old man years of wisdom showed on his face, the other a much younger man. She assumed they were both human.

"Hey, hey" she called " tell this creature to leave me and the cub alone" She was still worried what this wolf-man would do, he didn't look like he wanted to fight but she known that sort before. What Alexis hadn't realised was the glowin staff had started sparking, she started to feel dizzy, the people around her and the wolf blurred from her and she fainted.

Kethol moved without thinking, not that it isn't like him to do that often...and caught the elf maiden as she fell, taking care as to not touch the staff she had held. Though a look on his face showed he was berating himself for getting out of the shadows and getting involved. He looked to the wolf-man and the elderly man behind him. Kethol gave a bit of an embarrassed laugh, hoping if there was to be a fight it might disarm it now."Hehe...the pup wouldn't happen to be a pet or yours, would it?"

The woman now burdening him, he knew he couldn't draw a weapon, so it was either keep a fight from starting or simply let fate takes its course. Damn fate, always getting me into some sort of trouble, and me for not thinking...again!

ragzir was shocked when he saw that the strange woman, maybe it was an elf, swinged her staff at him and kept Terr in her arms. He froze, because that's the first thing every canine does when it's threatened. the old instincts came up and he just stood there, watching Terr. A little crowd was beginning to form around the two, partially because the staff was glowing and sparks were coming off now. the woman didn't look so well, and just when ragzir unfroze, she fainted, thankfully falling in a man's arms. Terr sniffed at the woman, and hopped up to ragzir. he took Terr in his arms and thanked the wolf spirits that nothing went wrong. the man who saved the elf, asked if it was his pet and ragzir answered "yeah, actually he is. His name is Terr and he was supposed to" he glimped at Terr"guard my luggage! but i know he is too young to do such things, and i'm thankfull that this lady was looking out for him, maybe a little too well. I am dreadfully sorry if i injured her in any way, i didn't mean to..." ragzir's eyes then focused on Terr, but nothing was wrong with him.

"master, we are completely surrounded!" "excellent, that way we can attack to all directions!"

Kethol let out a sigh of relief. Situation disarmed, not to figure out why fate dragged me here. "Well, I don't think you did anything to hurt her...I'm not sure why she fainted exactly. My best guess is that she was in the sun a bit too long." He shifted her body around, to both ease the burden on him and see if there was anything that might have caused her to faint. Though his guess would have been the staff, and that she was a mage of sorts, might not be a very good one if she faints when using her staff.

"Well, if I'm right and she was in the sun for too long, best to get her in the shade. Either of you care to help me with that?" His glances takes in both the wolf-man and the elderly man behind him. "I'm sure that staff is magic, so its probably best not to touch it. But thats just a guess on my part." He frowns a bit at the staff before lifting her up in his arms and looks around for a close shady place. An alley, probably not very clean, but it will have to do. He shifts his cloak around so it will be below the elf as he sets her down in the shade. "Now, all I need is guards to show up, and my day could just be perfect."

"Guard's? I would hope not, That's the last thing we need is some guard snooping around" Silo said as he walked over to the staff to exzanamin it. Looking down at it he sensed a power coming off of it something he could not put his finger on but something he had felt before that much he knew. Bending down to retrieve the staff taking great care not to set it off he stood up looking around and saw that people where looking at the four of them he walked over to the alley and layed the staff down beside the elf woman.

"Yes it does appear that she has suffered from too much sun. Well that and the staff did not make things any better but I can take care of that." Silo closed his eyes and started chanting in a langue that only a very few know. A couple of minutes later he opened his eyes and it got a few degrees cooler in the alley around Silo the elf and young man.

Looking over at the wolf-man who was holding the pup in hand "I doubt she meant to do anything with the staff sometimes they can take on a life of their own, she is very young to wield a staff of this power very young indeed."

An image of Alexis' father came into view, he looked sad yet his face was blurred "Alexis, i'm very disappointed in you, i sent you on a simple mission of trade and look what happens. You openly threaten another being with your staff, even though you're training is incomplete. What would your mother had thought"
The image began to fade, "No father, i'm sorry please don't tell muma, i'm sorry" She spoke aloud. Suddenly she felt something wet on her face, startled she got up and saw it was the pup from before. As her vision returned, she realised she was lying down and several faces came into view, she staggered to her feet.

"W..h..at what happened" then she saw the wolf-man, "Stay away, please leave the pup alone" she reached out for her staff but it was nowhere to be found, then she saw one of the men had it, "Hey leave that alone, no-ones allowed to take, it. Please give it back my father would be furious" she felt the dizziness returning and she swayed back and forth.

(OOC) Sorry I did not clarify in my post but I have changed it to make it more understandable if you read my post is says that he laid the staff down beside your character.
