Alistair left the club, unplugging two small silicone earplugs and pocketing them. Most DJs had them to protect their hearing. He turned a street corner at saw a young woman cross over to his side of the road. His technically dead heart started pumping fast. It was not because he wanted to do 'things' to her. Oh no. He just wanted to drain her body of blood. He turned back the way he had came and sped off to avoid her. To avoid the temptation. He backed into an alleyway and leapt with inhuman skill to the window ledge above him, then from there onto the roof. Here he saw everything. The skyscrapers, the many amber streetlights, the cars, and the great river that divided the two halves of the city and the bridge which was at his left-hand side. He loved his city, but why did he have to be so different to everyone else? -------------------------------------------------- Vee's black and white body drifted silently through the slow and quiet water of the city's river. Her orca tail flickered as she passed a large ship moored at one side of the river. Vivienne was quite alone in her river as nothing but the fish lived there with her. She often heard laughter above land but rarely left her watery home. Having nothing better to do, she tossed her hair and swam off toward a rusty set of ladders on one side of the river. She hauled herself up by her hands, her large tail useless on land. But once fully out of the water, her tail became legs and she became clothed in white. The ladder ended at street level, but once up, she made a beeline for a nearby bench. She walked over rather shakily and unsteadily as it had been months since she had last been on land. Once at the bench she sat down heavily and breathed rapidly, adjusting to the air. Her skin and long hair changed colour somewhat, and her once diamond-like grey eyes were now a soft hazel. Her hair was strangely dry despite having just stepped out of a river. Pulling her silk shawl about her, as it was a chilly night, she sat on her bench and watched passers by. |

Vee yawned and pulled her legs up onto the bench. She then sprawled across it, her lengthy legs almost running out of space on which to rest on. She seemed to glisten from head to toe and looked as though she were bathed in moonlight. Her large eyes fluttered shut as she rested for the first time upon dry land. She thought it would be safe, as she had no intentions of hurting anyone so why would they think of harming her? The white dress which she wore on land had a pale pink bow on the front, between her large chests. The dress covered little but dignity is never top priority when you live underwater.

Dayle stopped when he saw the vampire laying so seductive on the bench. He shook his head.
"Why do they always have to be the attractive ones?" He pulled out one of his guns and fired three shots at the stunning body that lay about ten meters away. |

Two bullets sunk into the bench behind Vee, but another lodged itself into her abdomen, causing her to let out a long, pained cry. Clutching her side, her pale face streaming with tears, she shot from her bench to the water's edge and leapt in, not once looking at her attacker. Once submerged, her tail returned and the bullet pushed itself out. Vampires were harmed by injuries to the heart and brain, not the torso, so she easily corrected herself. But it still hurt. Alot. Vee slowly and shakily swam to the surface, her head and upper body becoming visible. She was now completely discouraged from leaving her limited, watery home again. She disappeared beneath the surface, letting out a chorus of haunting whale-songs as she swam away.

"Bugger...missed..."
Dayle storm grabbed his flask again, and swore at the lack of liquid inside. he perked up his head as his enhanced senses picked up the wailing call of the mermaid vampire. "Filthy bloodsucker." Dayle put his gun back n his belt and headed towards teh nearest nightclub. he needed more brandy, and quick. |

Vee's large, elf-like ears picked up her attacker's voice. 'Filthy bloodsucker?' She said in a gargling, trilling voice, as she was underwater. 'I eat fish.' She said, looking somewhat sad and pathetic. 'Nor am I filthy. This water is quite clean.' Vee swam toward where she usually slept. A sunken and upturned fishing boat, it's many holes patched up with clumps of seaweed. She swam under it, feeling safe. 'I will NEVER go back up to that awful place again.' She thought to herself, her loosely curled hair spinning in the waves. She lied. She had said that the previous times but she always ended up going back up, compelled by the city and impressed by it's lights.
---------------------------------------------------------- Leaping down from the building's roof, Alistair wound up spending his wages on vodka in a nightclub. Again. He didn't have that much else to spend it on. His home during the day was a dark room with boarded up windows in a disused flour mill by the riverside. It was ideal really. But he didn't need to spend his wages on decorating because who would he be bringing back to it any time soon? His room contained a battered sofa, a large crate containing a mattress, which was his makeshift coffin, some assorted candles, a minibar, hair straighteners and some 'jazz' mags. Not exactly the most romantic setting. He sighed a little, downing his vodka. 'I don't seem to have much going for me.' He said in his deep, smooth, dreamy voice. |

Dayle Storm slowly smiled.
"Another vampire, and this one is pure!" He looked up and saw that the nightclub had gained a recent undead entrant. he adjusted his hat and coat aand walked up to enter. the Bouncer held him up. "Name please?" Dayle looked up at the man. "Name?" "You need your name on the paper to enter." "Dayle Storm." The Bouncer looked at the list. "Sorry, mr. Storm, but your not on the list. Now get lost!" his reply came in the form of a silver bullet through the head. "I don't have time for the likes of you." He entered the nightclub and smiled as the bouncers body hit the floor. He sniffed the air once he had entered. His keen brown eyes scanned the room and fell on a strapping young lad downing vodka like no tommorrow. Dayle smield and sat next to him. he called to thr tender. "Just a plain Brandy thanks, and another vodka for my friend here." He turned to the vampire. "And you are?" |

Lyle wandered the streets. He was bored, which was a bad sign. When he got bored, his thirst for blood overruled logic. Starting to get a headache, he ran into the nearest club, not noticing the dead bouncer outside the door. "I need a drink" he grumbled as he walked up to the bar.

((I think you need to wait for misslfash to approve, but il play along))
Dayle noticed that yet another vampire had entered the club. he muttered under his breath. "Why are they everywhere?" He looked around and saw that it was teh person at teh other end of the bar, with the kanji symbol on his shirt. Dayle sighed. "Great, now I have two to kill..." he stood and went behind the new vampire. Pulling close so no one else saw, he cocked a gun to its head. "Die bloodsucking motherf---er!" |
