James knew that Johnny made a fatal error—since Aura Blast* was a Fighting-type move, Plasma phased out and the Aura Blast sailed right through. "Plasma, Thunder Wave!" The Rotom launched a jolt of electricity at the Riolu and scored a hit, paralysing the Emanation Pokémon.

* Aura Blast is not a real move.

((Hmm... whats the non-physical Aura move? And FYI, ghosts types can only avoid none physical attacks. So even if its fighting, if its non physical it'll still hit.))

"Double Team, now!" With all the different Riolu's on the field, The real iolu had time to escape while Rotom sizzled the copies with electricity. "Now Shadow!" The real Riolu had time to hit it with a take down before it could phase out.

((Both Fighting and Normal Moves are ineffective on Ghost-types no matter what. The move you're referring to is Aura Sphere and Riolu doesn't learn it until after evolution.))

"Plasma, Astonish!" called James. His Rotom let loose a screech with a bit of background static. The Riolu cringed as it took some damage.

Riolu tottered back a little and when he finnally regained his baerings, he looked for orders. "Double team again! Shadow ball!" The Shadow Ball hit and Rotom wheeled backwards.
