James had already recalled his Jigglypuff after he woke up. He had been chatting with Johnny and Kasai. Saberu the Sableye was continuing her weird antics.

(wicked antics??? But thats my job)

Kyutto finished cleaning her face and walked out to meet the others. "James if you ever let your Jigglypuff do that again ill hang it" she said.

"That was revenge for pushing me down the hill back at Route 4. Now we're even," retorted James, "Besides, those Cascade Badges won't win themselves." The group had proceeded to the gym. "Who shall battle Misty first?" asked James.

"im going to explore and train up there pointing up route (emmmm which route is that)" she then ran off over the bridge. sHE CALLED BACK 2ill face misty later!"

(It's Route 24.)

"Very well, I'll face her first," replied James as he entered the gym, "Misty, I challenge you to a gym battle!"
"I accept your challenge!" replied Misty as she signalled to a referee to begin the battle.

"The gym battle between James Davy of Saffron City and Misty will begin. Each trainer can only use two Pokémon and only the challenger is allowed to switch Pokémon. There will be no time limit. You may begin," announced the referee.
"Go Staryu!" called Misty.
"Flutter, I choose you!" called James, releasing his Beautifly.
"Staryu, Tackle!"
"Flutter, Absorb!" Staryu came out of the pool spinning as it charged at Flutter. Flutter dodged and used Absorb, draining a fair amount of HP from the star-shaped Pokémon.
"Staryu, Water Gun!"
"Flutter, Gust!" Staryu fired a Water Gun and scored a critical hit on the Beautifly. Flutter retaliated by blowing a wind with its wings and scored a decent hit on the Staryu.
"Staryu, Water Gun again!"
"Flutter, Absorb!" Staryu fired a Water Gun at the Beautifly, but Flutter dodged it. Flutter proceeded to use Absorb again, scoring a critical hit of its own on the Staryu and causing it to faint. "Staryu is unable to battle. Beautifly is the winner," announced the referee.

"Staryu, return! Starmie, go!" called Misty, releasing said Pokémon into the pool.
"Flutter, Absorb!"
"Starmie, Water Pulse!" Starmie quickly fired a blue ring of elemental water at Flutter and scored some heavy damage. Flutter used Absorb, draining a decent amount of HP from the Starmie.
"Flutter, Absorb again!"
"Starmie, Rapid Spin!" Starmie flew out of the pool spinning like a buzzsaw and KO'd the Beautifly with a hit. "Beautifly is unable to battle. Starmie wins," announced the referee.

"Flutter, return! Plasma, I choose you!" called James, releasing his Rotom into battle.
"Starmie, Swift!"
"Plasma, Thundershock!" Starmie fired a salvo of star-shaped projectiles, but Plasma phased out and avoided the attack. Plasma retaliated by firing a bolt of electricity at the Starmie, causing heavy damage.
"Starmie, Water Pulse!"
"Plasma, Confuse Ray!" Starmie fired a Water Pulse and scored a hit on the Rotom. Plasma gave off a flash that confused the Starmie.
"Starmie, Water Pulse again!"
"Plasma, Astonish!" Starmie tried to fire another Water Pulse, but it hurt itself in its confusion. The damage inflicted was enough to cause Starmie to faint. "Starmie is unable to battle. The winner of the gym battle is James Davy of Saffron City!" announced the referee.
"Here's your Cascade Badge and the TM Water Pulse. Good luck on your journey," said Misty.
"Thank you," replied James as he left the gym and waited at the nearby fountain.

"ok now to fight misty" she muttred to herself, she healed her pokemon and walked towards the gym. "Misty im here to challenge you" she said walking into the gym. Misty just grinned. "youll have no chance but challenge accepted.ill even let you use all six pokemon,Go Staryu"
"bad mistake" Kyutto said "go Kairi" the budew came out and yipped.

"kairi Use asorb" The staryu was taken down in two asorbs.

"Hmmm maybe i underestemated you" Misty said "but youll never bet my starmie" she threw the pokeball and smiled wickedly "Starmie use both rapid spin and water pistol" The pokemon started to spin and shoot water. The budew charged forwards but was blown back and straight into a wall and fainted. This continued for Ghibli, Atari, Fluffy and Stinger.

"my last chance" she said kissing the pokeball "go Stryker" Misty smiled "hes not going to be any different" The starmie started spinning once again

There has got to be a way "GOT IT" she yelled "Stryker use the walls!" Stryker understood ad the zangoose jumped and dug his claws into the walls. He then started climbing digging his claws into the wallls. he then jumped off the walls and towards the starmie. my god this is risky, stryker has to hit at the exact right time There was a loud crack. Zangoose had stabbed Starmie right in the jewel and won the battle.

Kyutto walked out triumphant her cascade badge attached to her bag. She ran up to james "That was close" she said

"Especially since the only Pokémon you have with a type advantage is a little Budew," added James.

" shes not that little and she did beat staryu" she sat on the edge of the fountain "but then again it was Stryker who won it for me. Did you see?"

"I didn't see much, but what I did see was some of your Pokémon getting hammered by her Starmie," replied James.
