"You, you're Jason's son? Yes, I remember you, but we are here to battle not talk. Go Kadabra." "Go Hydro. Crunch." The two were calm and collected. Hydro ran in and bit down on Kadabra. Kadabra retailiated with Confusion. It did minor damage and Hydro was ready to Crunch again. this time Kadabra went down and hydro evolved into a tall Blastiose. "Oh yeah. Hydro return. Go Speedy!" He renamed his Growlithe Speedy when he evolved. "Go Venomoth. Sleep Powder." "Aerial Ace. now, Take Down. A 1-2 hit and Venomoth was no more. "Mr. Mime. Go." "Quake. Razor leaf. Follow up with Leaf Storm." When Mr. Mime went down, Quake evolved into a Grotle. "Beautiful." "Alakazam, go!" "Go Shadow!" Shadow was a disadvantage, but he fought long and hard. Finally, Flash Cannon took down the Alakazam. "congrats, Johnathan. you are ready to take over Eterna gym. Here is the Marsh badge and a TM." She winked. "Hydro Pump. For your new Blastiose." "Thank you Miss Sabrina."

Battle you later, said Kadabra telepathically to James as he and Sabrina left to heal again. James decided to do a switcheroo as he pushed the white button on his Pokédex and exchanged Terrafly for Gigabyte. James then tapped his Up-Grade on Gigabyte's Great Ball and the disc was drawn in to the Great Ball, equipped to the Porygon.
Sabrina returned and took her place at the battlefield. "James, don't think I'll go easy on you just because we're good friends," said Sabrina. "I wouldn't want you to go easy on me anyway," replied James. That's the James we both know! said Kadabra telepathically, giving James a thumbs up as he entered the battlefield. "Plasma, I choose you!" called James as he released his Rotom to do battle. I remember giving it to you like it was yesterday, James. Too bad I'll have to take it out, reminisced Kadabra. "Kadabra, Psycho Cut!" "Plasma, Ominous Wind!" Kadabra ran up to Plasma and delivered a psionic slash to the Rotom, not doing much damage. Plasma retaliated with an Ominous Wind and KO'd the Kadabra with a critical hit. "Plasma, return! Raptor, I choose you!" James released his Pidgeotto to do battle "Venomoth, Sleep Powder!" "Raptor, Wing Attack!" Venomoth scattered a sparkling blue powder that caused Raptor to fall asleep. Luckily, it woke up immediately and flew in for a Wing Attack, causing Venomoth to faint from heavy damage and Raptor to evolve to a Pidgeot. "Raptor, return! Gigabyte, I choose you!" called James, releasing his Porygon for its first battle. Gigabyte's Download ability raised its Attack status. "Gigabyte, Conversion!" "Mr. Mime, Reflect!" Mr. Mime had cast a barrier that weakens physical attacks and Gigabyte changed its type to Bug. "Mr. Mime, Doubleslap!" "Gigabyte, Signal Beam!" Mr. Mime ran up to Porygon and delivered five slaps to the floating computer program. Gigabyte retaliated by firing a bright beam that struck the mime artist and confused it. "Mr. Mime, Psychic!" "Gigabyte, Psybeam!" Mr. Mime tried to focus its mind to fire a wave of psionic energy, but it hurt itself in its confusion and caused a self-inflicted KO. "Alakazam, Psychic!" "Gigabyte, Conversion 2!" Alakazam was thrice as fast as Gigabyte as it delivered a wave of psychic energy and caused a good amount of damage. Gigabyte changed its type to Dark after it got hit. "Alakazam, Psychic again!" "Gigabyte, Recover!" Alakazam tried to fire another wave of psychic energy, but Gigabyte was now fully immune to Psychic attacks. Gigabyte ran an internal defragmenter program that restored half its maximum HP. "Alakazam, Miracle Eye!" "Gigabyte, Signal Beam!" Alakazam's eyes glowed as it found a way to cause damage to the Dark-type Porygon with its Psychic attacks. Gigabyte fired another bright beam that KO'd the Alakazam by critical hit. "Here's your Marsh Badge and the TM Psychic. You've shown exceptional progress in your quest," congratulated Sabrina. "Thanks Sabrina," replied James. You fought admirably, James. We'll meet again, said Kadabra. "Thank you Kadabra," James replied. The trio were now walking along Route 5 on their way to Cerulean City to get their bikes.

He clapped, "Bravo, James. As per bikes, I got them already ready at the CEnter. Paid for in full. So, could you trade me for Kadabra so he can evolve and a trade back?"
