Kalaran turned to regard the voice that he heard. He saw the girl standing there, her azure orb glowing brightly. "I am," he said in a demonic voice. "Alright..." He pulled out his sword and pointed it at the girl, his orb beginning to glow brightly. "I would begone if I were you," he told her. "Just in case you anger me." He put his sword back down and walked off, a red aura following him.

Raven walked around the crater, and followed him, "who are you?" she asked, something was urging her to follow him, he was important somehow, she didnt know it was just the orb trying to gather energy from its brother.

Kalaran turned back to her and scowled through his helm. "That is not of importance to you." He turned again and continued to walk. Seeing that the girl was still following him, he pointed his sword at her for the second time. "I am worning you girl, don't provoke me any further...I can cut you down where you stand." He stared at her, daring her to try something.

Raven gasped and took a step back, not now! something snarled in her mind, the orb glowed brighter, and Ravens brown eyes turned deep blue, her expression became instead of fear a smirk, "you would kill your own sister?" the voice said, sounding more ethral than Raven's voice, it ran the girl's finger along the blade and when the finger bled it put it into Raven's mouth, then pulled it out with a small pop, "dear brother you always did have such a temper" it said, Raven was too shocked at that moment to try and fight for control.

Kalaran conversed with the orb on his sword's hilt. The blue orb apparently controlled the girl. That was not so with Kalaran. They worked together. The orb spoke through the young man this time. "I would kill my own sister if she keeps provoking me like this." The orb told Kalaran to walk away, so he did. The Blood Orb knew his sister better than Kalaran did. They walked away from the girl, ready to attack if the need arose.

Sasha held up the green orb and turned it over several times in her hands, searching for a catch or opening. She sighed and dropped it into her lap again. There was no point; the orb's surface was completely smooth and impossible to even scratch. She knew it must be of some use or value, why else would it have come shooting out of the sky straight to her?
"Open up you stupid thing!" She shook the orb and stared at it, trying to look inside, get inside it. She was about to give up and turn away when she found she could no longer move her head. Panic threatened to overwhelm her as she tried to pull back from the orb's inescapable grip. Voices whispered in her head, swirled around her like a light mist, laying a feathery touch over her then drifting away again. Thoughts came half-formed then slipped out of reach and she felt herself being drawn into the orb, not physically but mentally. Vague images started to form infront of her then dissolved before she could understand them. A scream ripped through the air and her mind snapped back into her body, the link between her and the orb severed. Waves of nausea and dizzyness rolled over her leaving her shaking, deathly cold and covered in sweat. Shivering she wrapped the cloak she had taken around her and shrank back into the refuge of the hollowed tree she had been using as seat and shelter. As abruptly as the cold had come it left and she found herself to be hot. Throwing off the cloak and climbing out of the tree she set off through the wood at a run to find the origin of the scream that had so rudely and painfully interupted her first breakthrough with the mysterious orb. |

Drath saw everything from the shadows of the forest. These people had orbs like his, or more accuratelly brothers of the black stone. He suspected that there must have been more but never thought he'd find one of them so soon nevermind two!
It was odd though. The blue orb seemed to control it's wielder and the red was talking to it's own. He didn't kow how he knew the latter or then again he knew. It was his orb. But the wierd part was that his orb never communacated with him or controled at least in his knowledge. He felt a sharp pang..Green?...somewheer to the north. His fellow orb owners didn't seem to notice anything so he suspected he was more attuned owhing to being involved in the Great Arts even before fiding the small black sphere. With amusement he noticed that while the other orbs shone with colour (in one case the armour) his one reacted differantly. It consumed more light rending Drath nearly invisible. Handy that he thought. He turned and dissapeared into the awaiting shadows, heading north to Green...

Kalaran walked through the woods, closing in on the edge that wasn't burnt. As soon as he took a step in the un-burnt area, the life was suddenly ripped away, all of the green aura being sucked in by the Blood Orb. He continued walking, smiling when the little forest critters had the life sucked out of them. The orb felt an aura not that far from them, going straight towards them. It is probably another orb holder, the orb reasoned. We must be gone from this place. Kalaran nodded and ran from the forests, all the green life following him.

Raven was given control again, she cried out and fell to her knees, her whole body shaking, she pulled at the orb, trying to break the chain, to just get it off, but it wouldnt budge, the chain remained round her neck, Raven cried, her sobs carried for miles, she felt violated, something had invaded and taken control of her and it still could.
Raven curled up and continued to cry.
