OOC- Bonded OOC There are a select few humans who from a very young age develop bonds with creatures of the wild. Once the bond is made it can never be undone and the two are connected for the rest of their lives. They are called Bonded (simply because I can't think of a better name). But for every light in the world there must also be darkness, because there must always be balance (and it would be way boring without it). The Antagonist is that darkness, seeking the Bonded and wishing to use them, either by cooperation or by force to help him destroy all the non-bonded because he sees all those who were not blessed with the gift of the Bond as people who have been selected by nature as unworthy of life. Some agree with him, joining and hunting down other Bonded to join the cause and using their bestowed powers to cut down anyone in their path. Others do not, and they rebel, seeking to live peacefully in a world of both bonded and normal people. There are always two sides to something and it is usually the case that those two sides do not see eye to eye. This is no exception. Mira watched from far up above them as the horsemen, also known as centaurs stampeded past her position completely unaware of her presence. The girl wondered absently whether a centaur would Bond with a human or an animal. Which were they more? Did it matter? She'd assumed that a human had to Bond with a creature and vice versa, but what if that was not the case? Was that all 'love' really is? Just a human Bonding with another human? The girl had seen it enough to know that it definitely was similar to the Bond. Finally she placed her hand on the tree that had protected her from detection and felt that the horsemen had indeed gone. Leaping down from branch to branch the girl finally landed on solid ground confidently and surefooted. After barely a thought she put her fingers to her mouth and whistled loudly, calling Quell to her, who had taken wing when she'd started to hide. It wasn't that the centaurs were dangerous, but they could easily be Antagonists, anything bonded could be and Mira was still in debates as to the state of the horsemen. Quell landed next to her and she put he hand up to him for reassurance. The hippogriff flapping still to cool it's wings off. Suddenly the Bonded girl put her hand to the tree again and groaned in annoyance. "More Bonded?" She asked as if she was talking to someone but there was no answer, at least none that a regular human could hear. "Let's go." She said climbing up onto Quell as the creature took wing leaving the forest but staying close to the tree line, just in case. Last edited by MidnaPhobia; 01-31-2010 at 09:02 PM. |

Hati whined, wondering why Deimos was laying on the ground, staring up at the sky. Dei glanced at Hati, then returned to the sky. Hati stood up, annoyed, and lazily walked to Dei's side before gnawing on his arm. Dei looked at Hati, then finally stood. Hati's long tail wagged and his ears perked up. "We will find food." Dei spoke in a low tone. Hati jumped around Dei, urging him to work. Dei, unmotivated, started to clumsily walk though the forest. The rhythmic sound of hooves galloping was heard in the distance. Dei looked at Hati and nodded before climbing a near tree. Hati crouched in a shrub and waited. As the beasts known as centaurs ran by, Hati bared his teeth and leaped through the air, targeting the centaur in the rear. Hati's teeth dug deep into the beast's throat. Both Hati and the centaur disappeared behind a large group of trees and long grass. Dei leaped down, his massive broadsword, Sigu, under him. Dei landed, the large blade deep in the centaur's chest. No noise, nor did any centaur notice their missing friend. Dei grinned at Hati, who was now drooling. Dei spoke softly. "Dig in."

(first of all, Whoa! LOL) Loki hiked up the forest trail to his secret getaway and heard some rumbling in the distance. "Must be the forest centuars" Loki thought to himself as he started to hike again. Reaching his destination, Loki walked up to a giant tree and rested at the root of it. Closing his eyes, Loki let the forest's quietness relax him. |

Quell landed running and stopped before he crashed into something but had to rear, making a noise of annoyance at having to stop so suddenly. "Shh, it's okay boy." Mira soothed him getting down and leading the eagle-horse away swiftly. She didn't like traveling by air too much it was far to easy to be seen by all th other flying Bonded of the Antagonists. On the ground she could... feel things, tell when people were coming and such. Mira only used Quell as a last resort or to put some extra distance between her and a pursuer. A long flight would be enough to out run almost anything but she would wait just a little longer, see if she could avoid an unnecessary flight, and it appeared as if who ever had been close was gone now. Mira ran silently along the forest not glancing over her shoulder rather brushing her hands along any plant she passed. She stopped suddenly hearing from the plants that there was someone up ahead. But it was what they told her that confused the girl. 'Not a human yet not a Bonded either.' Mira didn't even know there was such a thing, but he wasn't an Antagonist, that was for sure. The girl slowed to a walk and slowly crept up on this thing that was so unique. |

After a moments rest Loki woke up with a stifled yawn and stretched his aching limbs. Smacking his lips he slowly stood up and looked up into the clear blue sky and wondered what else were out there. Looking around he then took out his Claymore and practiced swinging it and was oblivious that he was being watched by someone.

Dei held up Sigu, now gleaming red in the gentle rays of the sun. Dei looked disappointed, then started to clean the red glow off. Hati licked muzzle, knowing Dei did not like "messy" things. Dei looked at the bones of what was once a massive beast. "You eat so much..." Dei sighed. Hati coughed, then continued cleaning his teeth. Dei sat against a tree, relaxing. Hati, however, was on edge. Dei looked over and spoke softly. "I sense another presence, too, but it might just be some scavengers admiring our carcass here." Dei extended his leg, kicking a bone out of leftover flesh. Dei held up Sigu to show Hati he was still able to defend himself if something unexpected happened. Dei looked up towards the branches of the great tree he was under, gentle beams of sunlight softly landing on his face.

Mira stopped feeling the non-bonded just around the corner. She looked up and began to climb still as silently as she had walked to get a better view of the thing without being seen. Finally she saw it. It is just a human boy. She thought in confusion. Just a human playing with his little weapon. Nothing special. But the messages persisted. 'Not a human. More.' Mira rolled her eyes and turned them skyward where Quell was circling. Finally the girl called him down, using a bird call. The hippogriff landed in the clearing in front of the boy, raring and stretching it's wings. Quell reared again, moving its legs threateningly and screeching at the boy angrily. Mira smiled as her Bond became increasingly aggravated at her lack of presence until finally she jumped down from her hiding spot and instantly the hippogriff calmed and walked over to her. "I am sorry about that." The girl said giving this 'not human' a mischievous smile. "But I've heard some interesting things about you." |

"Whoa!" Loki exclaimed as the Hippogriff landed in front of him, sensing danger he looked from left to right to find and escape route. "It's okay, maybe its friendly" Loki thought as he stared back at the Hippogriff, "uh, hi there" he said to the creature as he sheathed his sword. Loki look on as a girl suddenly jumped down from the tree top onto the ground and greeted him. "Heard some interesting things about me?" he thought for a sec, and then he realized that there is a bonded right in front of him. "Oh" he said suddenly and then straightened up to recite the orders: "You are hereby given the upmost honor of serving the royal king of the kingdom, we hereby proclaim you kindly come with us, er me, and serve in his honor." Loki then let out a breath, "whoooo, I recited it almost perfectly" he thought.

Mira looked at the boy for a while with an amused smile on her face. She stood there stroking Quell and waiting for him to finish. Finally she couldn't hold it any longer and laughed at him. "That's very nice and everything, but I'm quite happy the way I am thank you." Quell tensed and looked at the boy unsure what to think, true he was only human, no powers what so ever, but if that claymore hit wither of them it could do some real damage. "What's your name?" Mira asked giving the boy a curious look regardless of her Bond's feelings towards him.
