Heaven sat in the back seat right beside the window. She looked out as she remained quiet. She hadn't said a word since she had entered the vehicle. She knew that her friends had changed and she didn't feel like getting close to them again.

She didn't want to come with them in the first place. She just wanted to get out and away from her normal cramped up apartment. She could see that Drew was very tired and uncomfortable as he drove so she leaned toward him slightly. And then whispered in his ear so she wouldn't disturb the others.

"Would you like me to drive?"

Drew loosened up slightly as he heard Heavens voice, whispering next to the head rest.

"Would you like me to drive?"

"No... It's alright." He said, turning slightly and smiling as he whispered back to her. "After driving 12 hours I don't think one more will hurt." he added jokingly, smiling again before turning back to the road. Right when he looked back, something caught his eye... 'What in the hell...' he thought to himself, looking in the side view mirror, his eyes squinting slightly. It was a mangled and torn up deer, it looked like a pack of coyotes got after it or something... maybe a little more human... 'Sucks to be you bud...' he thought to himself, turning back to the road.

A large bump in the road jostled Sam around in the back seat and woke her up. She yawned and stretched, careful not to poke anyone's eye out. Someone's head was leaning on her and she had to laugh. People were so funny when they slept, but she was sure she wasn't any different. She rubbed her eyes, trying to get them to stop watering. She hated it when that happened.

"Morning," she smiled, noticing that Drew and Heaven were the only ones awake, and it clearly wasn't morning anymore. "How much farther is it?" She asked, leaning up towards Drew, yet being careful not to wake up anyone next to her. She'd let them sleep for now, but when they got to the campsite, if anyone wasn't awake already, she'd give them the waking of their life. She was possibly the most excited of anyone for this trip. She couldn't wait to get out in the open air and be with a bunch of her old friends. She had been growing sick of the city life. She was ready for a real full-blown nature party.

Kimbra hadn't been sleeping, actually. She just had been rather quietly, sitting there and staring at the window. For some reason, she had not been too tired on the trip. Kimbra had been sitting in the very back, her head leaning back against the top of the seat. A navy blue blanket with golden crescent moons and stars and suns was wrapped around her body.

The sound of a whispering brought her attention to the front of the vehicle. Kimbra sighed softly. On one hand, she was very glad to be back with old friends. They had drifted apart, and she had hated that. It tore her up. Her eyes landed on Heaven, right hand coming up to rest against the back window, and her head leaning into that hand. They had been pretty good friends, as had her and Sam and Drew. Drew was another story, he had always had her attention without him knowing it. Perhaps she had had a major crush-like feeling towards him, but times had changed.

Everyone had changed. Kimbra did not feel as close to her friends as she had so long ago. How long had it really been? She couldn't remember, lost track maybe. Pulling her legs up onto the seat, she cleared her throat lightly and looked back out the window. Kimbra would've given anything to go back in time, to spend another day with them as they use to be.

"How much farther is it?"

He looked over his shoulder, smiling at Sam as she spoke, "Just about 45 more minutes... shouldn't be too much longer." he pulled the armrest back down, putting all of his weight on his right arm and leaned on it. He reached forward with his left arm, keeping the steering wheel steady with his left knee. He turned the radio up a few clicks, Fallen by Drist could be heard faintly in the background as they continued down the road.

His eyes darted to the rear view mirror as he noticed something move, it was Kimbra. He smiled again, shaking his head slightly as the weird feelings he had for her started to surface again. As far as he knew he had been crushing on her for the past 10 years, though he never really accepted it, 'She's just my friend...' was his main excuse.

He looked to his right at his brother who was snoring faintly, making him grin slightly as he remembered when they had to share a room and when he would start to do this, he would shove marshmallows in his mouth until he couldn't hear it anymore. His eyes went to a sign that passed by, "BEAR CREAK 4 MILES" was printed across the old looking street sign.

Jack was sleeping tight, sometimes letting out a little snore. He was up last night too late so when Drew told him that the trip takes about a half day, he didn't hesitate to sleep. Though he woke up a few times, when they stopped for lunch or when they went next to a train.
He wasn't in deep in his dreams when he woke up and he heard them talking that its almost another hour to reach the camp.
"Whew.. That felt good, I'm totally refreshed. When we're there leave the foods to me." he stated while stretching his arms as far as the ceiling let him. He looked back to see everyone is accounted for. He sighed and looked outside. There wasn't a soul out there, which was kinda creepy for a guy who lived in a van almost in the middle of the city.

"Whew.. That felt good, I'm totally refreshed. When we're there leave the foods to me."

He looked over at his brother, grinning as he spoke, "Bout time you woke up..." He said before slowing down, taking an exit off of the two landed highway, they were now on a dirt road. It was slightly bumpy so if anyone had decided to stay asleep would now be awake for sure.

He drove for another ten minutes or so, pulling up to a campsite. There were two cabins that were pretty good sized that looked over the lake which was down a hill next to the camp, a campfire sitting in the middle. "Well... looks like we're here!" Drew exclaimed as he slowly got out of the drivers seat, putting his hands over his head, leaning back and standing on his tip toes as he stretched.

"Nearly wore a hole in that damn seat!" he said, letting out a sigh as he came out of his stretch, looking around at the various rocks on the ground... a trail of them were red which lead to the doors of one of the cabins... 'That's strange...' Drew said, picking one of them up and throwing it as hard as he could at the lake bellow them. He figured the people who kept the place going somehow painted the ground like that...

Kimbra saw Drew moving up friend, listening as he said there was only forty-five minutes left. Suddenly his eyes moved into the rear view mirror, her eyes locking with his for just a brief moment. Her eyes then cast to the side to look at the sign that whipped by. Then suddenly she heard someone else's voice and she nearly jumped from being startled.

Grabbing the pillow she brought with her, she smacked Jack against the shoulder with it. "You scared the ever living crap out of me." She said as she pulled it back and hugged it close to her. Exhaling, she looked outside and waited until they pulled up. Once the car stopped, she clambered out and sighed with relief. "Finally." She said softly, stertching her arms above her head and then twisting her baack a little. Sitting in the car for that long tended to give her sore muscles. "I can drive on the way back, Drew." She said as he picked up a red rock and threw it. "Looks like someone broke their leg and hobbled down to the cabin," Kimbra muttered.

Heaven got out of the car as well. As they finally reached their destination. She leaned against the car slightly not really wanting to stretch. She looked around at the beautiful scenery. She watched the stone that Drew through enter the beautiful lake that was near them.

She then looked down and noticed the red stones and looked bewildered for a second. But she just shrugged it off as she looked at the cabins that surrounded them. She hadn't said much on the way down here. But she didn't sleep any either. She was wore out.

"I can drive on the way back, Drew."

He turned and saw Kimbra next to him, he smiled and shook his head, "I'll be fine, it'll be like a week or so before we have to leave anyways... I'll just go to sleep early on Saturday." He gave her a slightly mischievous wink and walked up to the red rocks, about to grab another one.

"Looks like someone broke their leg and hobbled down to the cabin,"

He jerked his hand back pretty quick as she finished her sentence, staring at them a little closer before standing up, "I vote to not touch these anymore..." he mumbled before picking up a new, non-colored, rock. He would throw it just as he had the last one. Once everyone was out, they would unpack and sort out who got what as of beds.
