<:|~<OOC>~|:> The sun rose over the docks as the first wave of immigrants from the other continents came in. Bells were clanking, seaguls were squawking and people were talking. Crowds and crowds gathered to see the ships unload the newcomers, trying to be the first to witness the strange peoples of the new world. Pushing and shoving, people were rushing and fighting to get to get to the dockside. However two of the men in this crowd were deep in thought.Nihlean Oran was one of these men. He was a representative of the Brotherhood of Secte in the town of Stein on a mission to oversee the coming of the new races, and probe it for law breakers. Nihlean pushed his way lightly through the crowd, occasionally glancing to his boots to ensure the sixteen sharp throwing knives were still in their holders. He watched as the first boat unloaded it's people onto the docks. Fifty short men with long beards immediately rushed to the land ina huge charge and started kissing the ground. What a strange ritual... thought Nihlean as he turned to watch another boat unload it's people. Humongous greenskinned, tusked men walked off the boat and started hugging the bystanders watching them, as was a custom for the orcish race. Nihlean half smiled, it was heartwarming seeing people so kind to difference. The next boat he watched unload unloaded in the most spectacular fashoin anyone in Botansh had ever seen, and even Nihlean, who had seen many astounding things and was capable of keeping his cool in dangerous situations was shocked. Fifty winged men and women leapt off the edge of the boat in an amazing, breath-taking leap and came flling down to the dock. But just as they were about to hit the deck, they opened their wings and flapped once, launching themselves up three feet, and letting them fall down slowly. Immediately the crowd clapped and whooped in awe, and uncharacteristicly, Nihlean joined them. The only people who didn't clap and outright show their awe for the winged men were the men on the ship who had seen it before, and the officials of the Botansh Knight Guard, here to escort embassadors to the Castle of Botansh, in Tensis. Mathias Andrews was one of these. Matthias immediately walked forward through the crowd pushing people out of his way as his lieutenants followed to the first boat, where he was to find the representative of the orcs. He sighed, this would be a long day. However, the fun was just beginning. This was the first day of many adventures in Botansh. |

Azrael sighed mentaly as he jumped off the boat with the rest of his kind though he liked his wings he didn't like to show off that much. Straetching them out once more after he was on the ground he looked around at all of the humans and other beings. Such facinating creatures....though I suppose they think the same of us...oh well I hope to be free of this place soon enough he thought waiting around for a bit to see if any thing interesting would happen. I hope these humans will be friendly enough... he thought as he stepped foreword a bit to keep away from the water he really did not want his wings to get wet.

Matthias walked up and approached the elven woman on her white horse. He groaned as he realised he hadn't any horses with his party. Why had they been so clueless? Although it wasn't his fault. It was the damned King's fault. The bastard wouldnt even let them have personal Horses to ride? He was so stingy on funding the very organization that kept his people safe. What an ass.
"AMBASSADORS TO ME!" he yelled over the throng of the crowd. "AMBASSADORS HEADED FOR TENSIS TO ME!" He sighed as his lieutennants wandered off to go find the ambassadors. The chaos in this place was so appalling. He sighed and resumed his duties. "AMBASSADORS TO ME!" His job was rough sometimes. --------------------------------------- Nihlean listened as he walked along the dockside. Perfectly invisible amongst the mass of people, he had not a worry of exposure to the high presence of the BKG in the area. "AMBASSADORS TO ME!" he heard being shouted over the people. He smiled inwardly. Captain Matthias was here? And doing escort duty? How embarassing. It would make a good taunt next time he has a contract in Tensis. Getting back on focus he looked around as the elves got off their ship, listening for any sign of criminal activity. So far there was nothing illegal happening, and it dissapointed him so. His binding oath to his previous Death Guide forbid him from killing anyone but criminals. How tedious. He then looked over to the left and saw a bunch of shady looking figures walkling behind a nearby bookshop. He quickly walked in that direction, and then the smell hit him. It was a horrific odor, and it appeared to be coming off the Dawrven ship. He looked over and saw four dwarves lifting a huge platform covered in waste. He plugged his nose and made disgusted sounds as they walked with it past the huge crowd and set it down... right in front of the walkway to the suspicious indivduals. His job was rough sometimes. |

"All is well with the day, there are no demons, no evil to desacrate the Light. Let all demons burn with righteous fire and be banished from this plane for all eternity," Laeth repeated, four times to be exact, before gettng up from his kneeling position in the chapel of St. Jaered. He walked outside, sighing and breathing in the fresh air; the cathedral-citadel was finally complete, after six years of mayhem. Demons attacking, rain, thunder, lightning, everything. A troop of four Paladin walked by, stopping every twenty stops and reciting the 'Patrolling Prayer' as it was called. The stone walls, almost sixty feet tall and surrounding the mile long and wide citadel, were full of buzzing guards, on top and otherwise. Priests walked by in their white garbs, the robes blowing in the breeze. A few monks, their heads shaved bald as they had to wear it during their years as the combat priests walked out of the Monk's Wing, saluted; two fingers across the heart horizonally, one from the other finger going up. He nodded and they moved on; he was in his Lord Captain Commander armor, chainmail curiass under a tabard of white with a red cross on the chest, the insignia of The Holy Order of Palio. He walked to his horse, Mandari. The pure black horse had a white blanket over it, the insignia of the Order on both sides. He picked up his lance from next to Mandari, his squire having already saddled him and packed everything; Laeth was going to visit Tensis.

Shen was to be an undercover soldier while the newcomers arrived, just in case any of them broke the law. It was strange since he kind of stood out from everyone else, no it wasn't his looks, but pretty much how one felt around him. The people were of course strange, though maybe a change of people around here would make things more interesting. He himself wanted to know them, though he'll have to keep to his job of course. With that, he poured another cup of green tea and began drinking again.

The men walked nervously across the docks, eyeing the guards and the newcomers with suspicion in their eyes, their hands always in their pockets, fiddling with some long object. As they passed by each boat the looked at eachother and seemed to be speaking with their body language and eye movements. Anyone could notice this if they were watching them. Standing there for a minute they held their silent conversation, and then, finishing it, they all dispersed and started roaming through the crowd.
One of these men, a tall man with a straw hat approached a man sitting there sipping tea. He tried to strike up a casual conversation with the man, but his tone and facial expression gave away the fact that he was nervous about something. "I hear them BKG are here, hidden undercover. Strange of them to be doin so, you know? Almost as if some big important guy was nearby." Not waiting for a response from Shen (For that is who he was talking too, ironically enough) he continued. "So uh, would't the Lord of Paige be here? Y'know, oversee the newcomers? Think he'd be.. nearby?" asked the man. ------------------- It wasn't long after the Harpy performance before an elven citizen had to make a comment. Unable to resist he turned to the nearest harpy, and said to him, "Just had to show off, didn't you bird brains? Think you'll win their favor with cool little tricks and acrobatics? You shallow egg-borns!" 'Egg-born' is an insult in Harpy culture. Although true it is crude and simple, and said with the spite in the tone this elf had, it was a major insult. Needless to say, the Harpy responded accordingly with a quick slash to the face. Seeing the attack on one of their kind, many of the elves quickly rushed over yelling, shouting and punching at the harpies, the harpies doing the same. -------------------------- Nihlean climbed through the refuse from the ship with quiet discomfort. Still trying to keep a low profile he trudged through the... well the crap and made his way behind the bookshop where the shady figures were staying out of site. As Nihlean rounded the corner, he took up his bandana from his jacket and pulled his hood over his face. Hiding his knife in his sleeve right before he turned the corner he approached the three men standing there. "What do you think you're up to, punks? Gonna sabotage these peaceful, orderly welcoming ceremonies?" He asked with a sneer, just as a harpy and an elf came flying over the bookshop, entangled in fist-on-fist combat. The largest of these shady characters stood up and puffed out his chest. This man was huge, and very well muscled. His companions were as well. "If so, whatcha gonna do about it?" Nihlean took a throwing knife from his boot and flung it into the neck of the big man in one swift, calm moment. "That." The two other men ran out from behind the building, screaming cries of 'Murderer' and adding to the already building chaos. |

Laeth walked at the head of a wedge, twenty seven units mounted on horseback behind him. They all had similar horses, not as grand as Mandari, the biggest warhorse recorded in history, or one of the biggest. They had black blankets over white horses, the red cross still in the middle of each; their armor had plumes going down the length of it, their lances pointed skyward. Laeth looked at the capital city growing in the distance. "Get ready," he told them, eying around for any trouble makers.

An old beggar made his way up the path, dressed in the common Pierre-style jacket that was growing in popularity. As he travelled he came across a huge travelling group of knights. He approached the man at the lead and kept pace with him.
"Hey there, sonny jim, would ya mind lendin me a few coins? I wanna get into Tensis and buy me some bread but I dun be havin the coinage. Help an old codger out?" The man asked, as he started rubbing his neck, as if it was sore. |

Well he couldn't blow his cover of course, he always kept his word, promise, job whatever, it's all the same to him. Apparently this man was nervous about something, that of which anyone could tell he was nervous. This guy was on a full breakdown.
"i believe he's a little afraid of seeing the newcomers", replied Shen. He was honest, though if he replied in a way that was not completely knowing, he would have accidentally, hinted that he was one of the undecover soldiers. He was only undercover since he didn't wear the uniform at all, there were a couple others who were undercover, but why was it him of all people, to have to chat with this nervous wreck. Well, as long as he did his job, he was satisfied. "Though these BKG soldiers of his... I think he's using them as a way to see if the newcomers are alright to approach, he's over cautious i heaar", he finished.
