Reni had reached her apartment and was currently pacing through the living room. The TV was on and was reporting vampires and such all over the news. She was anxious, Ez had not called her back yet and usually it did not take him that long to call her. Then again, he was getting older and of course the older he got the longer it would take him to do something, or at least something in which his business was in.
She had never believed in vampires before, why should she start now? Ah, people were just lunatics in this side of New York City, except Ez. The people on the news were the lunatics, raving about what they had seen. Sighing, she left her bag and took her keys and phone. It was time for her to go check out the scene, see if Ez was still there and hopefully if he was that he was alright. The TV was shut off and she was out the door in less than two minutes, heading back to the block in which she worked at the diner. Such took a little less than ten minutes for her to walk through the crowds. The sun had set by this point which meant there was a bit of a chill to the air, but this did not bother her, she was more concerned for her friend. There were cops and people crowding outside to see what was going on. A sigh left her lips, gazing around through the people and not seeing him anywhere. The streets were not safe, he had said. Well she could take care of herself...for the most part. A few more minutes of searching left her even more worried when she didn't find him. Great, Reni thought to herself. He was probably being hauled away by the cops or something. Another scan of the eyes, and by luck she spotted him in the diner. Ez was sitting with some younger woman having a conversation. Irritation swept across her face as she marched up the steps and into the diner. However, she manuevered herself around so she could come up behind him. She didn't greet him, nor introduce herself to whoever the woman was, she just simply said, "Well, it is good to know you are here." Reni would have said 'in one piece' but that might've been something that couldn't be said around strangers.

"Excuse me for one second.."
Ez was not suprised that Renita had come looking for him; she had always been a good friend to Ez and denied to do anything he ever asked of her, as any friend would. Standing up out of the booth, Ez leaned in towards Reni so that their conversation could be hushed. Eyes switched over towards Matt for a split seconds, Ezekiel only grinning at the seemingly normal man. He had excaped his radar. "What did I tell you about coming down here? Havent you seen the News? Vampires are everywhere, And their having a field day with this. I just got fucking ambushed right outside of here- it's not safe." His words were hushed, so that his new-found friend could not hear them. Although if his acusations were correct, her Vampiric hearing would pick everything up with ease. "Shit.." He mummbled to himself after a second, scanning his person. Amateur mistake.. He thought to himself as he realised the only weapon near him and not in the trenchcoat was his ankle-blade and the daggers built into the fronts of his shoes.

Matt once thought again, as Ezekiel gave him a split-second gaze, to jump up and strike. However, when he realized he was simply reaching up to speak to another human, he sighed relief. Perhaps he knows what I am... he also might not care. Hah, he'll regret it. Matt thought to himself as he heard their little 'whispered' conversation.
Matthew took another sip of his coke. Oh yes he would strike tonight; But not here, not in public. Matt would have to attack somewhere less open and darker. Oh I can wait little human, I can wait. And when you are alone, I will drink every ounce of blood from your body and it will be the best meal I have ever had... hah! I probably wont have to feed again for another week. Matt thought to himself, lightly licking his lips. Shit... Matthew thought after he had done the impulsive action of licking his lips, it obviously pointed out that he was really satisfied with his coca-cola, or he was thirsty for another substance. Just then Matt had realized he was staring at Ezekiel's neck the whole time, he quickly looked down at his coke. Keep it together you idiot. Don't expose yourself now! He yelled at himself in his head. His heart beat had finally slowed down to normal levels, as he let out a small sigh and took another sip of his beverage.

Natalia watched as a man... no, a vampire, she could smell it... walked into the room. She didn't often interact with individuals similar to herself, as she wanted to lead as "normal" a life as possible. Other vampires, as far as she was concerned, were generally too ruthless. They attracted too much attention, as could be seen from the commotion down the street. She wondered if this guy had anything to do with it.
She shifted a bit in her seat. She knew that the other vampire could tell what she was. She watched him, subtly shifting her focus from Ezekiel to the vampire man. Ezekiel put up his hair, and as he was doing so, Natalia watched the expression on the face of the vampire go from one of contemplation to one of shock. Wait... Could they have been? Oh, shit... She looked at the folded coat again, and noticed the faint outline of a suspiciously-shaped object. It looked like a gun. Damn it, I've gotten myself into another situation... I hope he... Oh, shit, what if he knows? Maybe he'll take mercy on me. Maybe he'll not... She went to give him a knowing, warning look, but he had excused himself to talk to a young woman who had entered the diner. She feigned a bright smile again, and watched them converse. She glanced at the vampire while they were engaged and tapped her fingers. She also listened intently to what they were saying. "What did I tell you about coming down here? Havent you seen the News? Vampires are everywhere, And their having a field day with this. I just got fucking ambushed right outside of here- it's not safe." Okay, Ezekiel was definitely a hunter. Now, to stay on his good side. She watched as he visibly cringed, after he finished speaking. He also definitely knew that she was a vampire... But it was time to play it cool. Natalia relaxed, visibly, and straightened up. "Hey, sorry, I just thought I'd introduce myself... I'm Nat!" she piped in, with a smile at Ezekiel's friend. My only concern is to live through this day, her thoughts screamed. |

Reni always felt embarrassed when he spoke to her like she was a child. Well, not really embarrassed, but it was more so like when a child got scolded by their mother for breaking something valuable of theirs. Her cheeks turned a warmer color, eyes glancing down to the small amount of floor between them as he spoke his hushed words. When he mentioned that he got ambushed right outside of the diner, her eyes flickered back up to his face.
"Yes, I have been watching the news. And I'm sorry, but that is why I came down here in the first place to make sure that I didn't have to make some funeral arrangements for you since someone does not know how to use a cell phone." She said in the same hushed voice that he used, until she suddenly heard his female friend speak. Her name was Nat, obviously a nickname for a longer name. Glancing at Ez, she gave a bit of a smile to the girl. "No problem. I am Reni. Pleasure to meet you, Nat." Her eyes moved away and around the diner, then out to the scene outside. She figured Ez had been behind everything that had happened outside.

It was then Sgiht dove off of the apartment complex and was falling straight down at the concrete. Onlookers watched with a grim expression, praying that something would shift or someone would be able to save her or anything! They all watched with panic, pointing and jumping up with fear.
That's when it happened; She grabbed onto one of the fire escape ladders and swung her legs backwards to land crouched down. "I do hope you all enjoyed that little show." She spoke darkily, standing up straight and staring at all of the onlookers who now had a relieved face. "Oh, she's blind." Someone pointed out. "Miss, are you okay?" Another approached her, touching her shoulder gingerly. "I am fine but you all will not be." Smirk. Fangs revealed. "That is an interesting look." Another teenager commented. "Way to go with the gothic look." She giggled. "Oh, hun. This isn't a look. This is life." With that, a shadow hand formed beneath the teenager and she was soon encased in shadows, screaming and moving about. The scene broke out with panic, people screaming and running about. It wasn't long for Police and the News Team to be there, reporting. All what Sight was looking for. "These days, I am casted aside much in my younger years because of what I am. Now, it's the human's turn!" The shadow hand gripped the screaming teenager tighter then flung her harshly against a wall, her body hanging lifelessly from a pole. The Diner's television came on with a breaking news, broadcasting the rather psychotic and violent teenage vampire. "It isn't fair for me to suffer all those years being ridiculed and your children, your children took away something precious of me - my vision! They beat me within an inch of my life and that's when I discovered what I am." Her words echoed through all television stations.

Ezkiel shook his head as guilt sunk in. "Im sorry, I should have called. Look, just stay here with me for alittle bit and I'll explain everything later at my apartment okay?" Ez whisperd, eyes scanning through the pane glass windows onto the streets outside.
He smiled when the two greeted eachother, a pulse of relaxation surging through his body as the vampire female made what he beleived to be a signification of peace. "Feel free to sit with us Reni, we were just talking about random stuff, you kn-" The TV broadcasted the face of the female whom had stood infront of him earlier- the one who had caused him to flee the scene. "Alright.. you wanted my attention, you got it." He whisperd to himself, throwing on his trenchcoat in a hurry. Innocent people were getting hurt because of him, and he couldnt allow this. Never. "Stay here. INSIDE here. I dont want anything to happen to you." He pleaded with Reni, fishing inside his coat for a few seconds before plaving a white spray canister on the table. "I know you dont beleive in vampires, just please keep this close to you." The front of the canister was written on with permanent marker, reading 100% Pure garlic. Use sparingly, aim for eyes and mouth. "If im not back here in thirty minutes come looking for me, but ONLY if Im not back in thirty minutes." Before he left he embraced Reni for a quick seconds, holding her against him for a few seconds in what felt like several minutes. Nodding goodbye to Nat, Ezekiel pushed through the Diner door and into the streets. His body had become accustomed to the injured leg, the old man able to run at full capacity without the wound bothering him. "Im running low on supplies, I shouldnt be doing this.." He mumbled to himself as he sprinted to the adress on the TV.

Sight stood there, her back faced to a group of Police Officers with their guns drawn. She narrowed her eyes and flared her nose. "Pitiful." She muttered through clenched teeth, their guns cocked and bullets fired.
To the Police surprise, the bullets were caught easily and then dropped on the ground as if they were nothing. That's when she reached out with her shadow hand, snatching the guns out of their hands and turning it on them. There was one shadow hand and then there were several, all holding and pointing a gun at each of it's previous owner. "Bang." She smirked, the guns fired rapidly into their bodies, tearing through and leaving them lifeless on the ground. Blood ran across the concrete, pools of it, some leaking into the sewer drain. People frantically ran about, some trying to be heroes and failing miserably. Attention was what she wanted and attention was what she will damn well get.

Reni shook her own head as he whispered to her. She had not meant to make him feel guilty, she just wanted him to realize that if he had called her and told her that he had made it out alive, she would not have been so worried. "Fine, fine...I will stay here for a little bit." She muttered back before introducing herself to the female that Ez had been speaking with. It had not exactly dawned on her that she had interrupted their conversation, she had just been so concerned with letting him know she had been worried.
Her own eyes caught the face on the TV screen and then the way Ez's attitude and mood had shifted so suddenly. A vampire, Reni thought to herself just as something was set on the table. It looked like a spray can only it said there was garlic in it. Something to use against the vampires, no doubt. Everything else happened so fast, but time slowed as her body was suddenly pulled into a tight embrace for a few moments. She couldn't remember him ever doing that before. He told her to stay, and she slowly sat down in the booth that was beside Nat's, the garlic spray in her hands.
