Nimble fingers gently tapped the oak desk under them in an impacient manner. The young woman that the fingers belonged to was growing restless despite her usually calm self. She had been watching the clock in her room for some time now, waiting for her chance to escape the royal nonscense that was her everyday life.

After what felt like forever to the blonde woman, the clock struck twelve noon, signalling for her to take action. If she planned on escaping, she needed to make sure no one saw her leave, and that included the maids and butlers and such. She silently crept out of her room and into the secluded hallway that she had grown so used to, so bored of...

As quietly as she could, she headed down the hallway and down the many stairs that lead to the bottom floor. This was lunchtime for her family, and if she hurried, she could make it out the front door without being detected. She was halfway across the large room that lead to the front door when... "Ah, Miss Luna, where are you, dear?"

'Oh no,' she thought, hurrying her pace as she finally made it to the door. She exited the large building that was her home and breathed a heavy sigh as she continued on her hurried pace. There were a few others out that worked for her family, but they took no notice in her leave, only finding it natural since the young woman liked to go out so much.

"Now, who'd help someone like me?" she asked herself aloud, though she knew most anyone would help her since she was of such high royalty. That was just it, though. She wanted to pick someone who didn't look all that lovestruck over her high status. It was then that she saw someone walking down the other side of the street.

'Hey get back here!' a fruit vendor shouted from his stand. A swift figure was running quickly through the crowded streets dodging people as he took bites from his stolen apple.

Saens looked back to see that the vendor hadn't followed him and no one seemed to care he stole but a small apple. He slowed his pace upon realizing he wouldn't have anything to worry about.

He started down a street that seemed empty. He saw a large house a small distance down the street. 'Hmph.' he spoke to himself. 'Royalty...' He started to take more bites from his apple. He strolled down the street casually as he finished off his apple. He threw the core into the air over his shoulder.

He walked for a few more minutes on the street of royalty observing all the upkept gardens. He noticed a girl walking along the other side of the street. He observed her clothing and deduced that she was royalty. He didn't bother with the girl and just kept to his own business.

Luna took a good look at this man and knew almost instantly that he would be the perfect person to help her escape. Without thinking, she ran across the street to catch up to this man who had caught her interest.

She could tell he was one of the outsiders of royalty, someone who probably lived a more normal life than she. He was currently hiding his face, though that didn't matter at the time. What mattered to her at the moment was if he would help her or not.

"Um, excuse me, sir? I was wondering if you could help me...?" Luna gently grabbed his shoulder to stop him from walking away, glancing over at the door to her home to see if anyone was after her. 'Not yet, it seems...' "I think you're the only one who could help me right now. I need to get away from here, you know, escape from this place. Will you help me?"

Saens heard the girl run across the street and call out to him. He continued to walk and ignore her, until he felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned to look at the girl. She appeared to be younger than him, but not by much a year or two.

'I need to get away from here, you know, escape from this place. Will you help me?' He looked the girl in the eye and smirked. 'Why don't you go back home to you perfect life.' he muttered. He turned his body, jerking his shoulder away from the girls hand. He continued to walk down the street as he pulled his hood off of his head. He shook his head vigorously and scratched the back of his head.

He...he wouldn't help her....No, she had to convince him somehow to help her get away, to get her away from this retched place she had been calling home for a long time.

"Wait, you don't understand!" she called out, trying to get his attention once more. Her deep sapphire blue eyes were showing that she was desperate for him to help her. She needed to.... "Miss Luna, where are you?" Luna's head turned sharply at the voice, seeing her caretaker walking out the front door. She was asking one of the outside workers if they had seen her.

Luna ran back up to the man that was walking away from her, stepping in front of him. "Please, you have to help me! I hate this place! I can't be like this any longer, I just..." she was hesitating now as one of the outside workers pointed in the direction she had went. "Come on, please, they'll find me if you don't take me away from here!"

'Her eyes...' Saens thought for a moment before snapping back into reality. 'Fine.' he mummbled. He removed his upper clothing and handed it to the stranger. 'Put this on, and put the hood up. And quickly, follow me.'

He headed down the street further in the direction he was heading, the strange girl quickly behind him. 'At least she's keeping up.' he thought. After a minute or two of quicky movement Saens halted himself and the girl. They were in front of another house, that belonged to more upper class people. 'We're cutting through.' he said looking back at the girl.

He positioned his hands so that he could give her a boost over the high fence that guarded the magnificent house. 'C'mon, I thought you wanted to get out of here.' he said impatiently.

"Thank you," she breathed as she placed the hood over her head and quickly followed, not wanting to find out if they had seen her or not. She was wearing a finely decorated dress, after all, but it was slim, not bulky, so Luna felt she had a chance.

She followed the man in front of her easily despite his fast pace before stopping altogether. They were now in front of another royal home that she recognised to be a family that her family always invited over in hopes that she would make more friends.

She looked away from the large home to find that the man she had been following was now by the gate, his hands positioned out in front of him low to the ground. 'We're cutting through.' 'C'mon, I thought you wanted to get out of here' Luna, who, at first, was looking at the man in confussion, was now wearing a big smile.

Almost to the point of excitement, she moved up in front of him and took off her shoes, finding them to be a nuisance. Luna then used one foot to stand on his hands as he easily hoisted her up over the fense. When she came down, she realized that she had ripped the dress she was in, but that didn't matter.

"How are you going to get over?" she asked lightly. Luna was hoping that he didn't plan on leaving her there; her family would only end up finding her better.

Saens grinned but didn't bother to reply to the strangers question. He took a few steps back and ran quickly towards the fence. He took a three steps on the wall as he ran up it, before grabing on to the top of the fence. He pulled himself up and jumped down to the royal girl. 'Let's go.'

Quickly after landing, Saens started to move to the other side of the large home. He ran around the house and made his way to the back yard, the girl closely behind him. They reached the back yard with the same fence still in their way. They repeated the same steps as before to get over the wall.

Once they were on the other side the were only a small distance away from the town. Saens led the way into the town and moved towards and alley. 'There. You're out. Can I have my hood back?'

Luna watched in amazement as the man helping her escape ran up the fence and made it over easily. Well, that wasn't something she saw everyday... As soon as he was over, they were on the run again, this time hopping over the other side of the fence to head towards the town.

The princess was anxious and excited over the whole ordeal. If it wasn't for this man in front of her, she would have never been able to escape her high-standard life. They were now in some dirty alleyway, and the young woman couldn't be any happier.

'There. You're out. Can I have my hood back?' Luna glanced down at herself and noticed she was still wearing the garment he had given her. "Oh, of course, sir," she whispered with a smile, taking the hood off her head and handing the jacket-like garment to him.

"Thank you so much for helping me. You have no idea how happy I am right now. If you don't mind, though, I still need your help." She caught his eyes with hers and marveled at the darkness of his. 'I've never seen anyone with grey eyes before...' "Could you get me new clothes? I fear I'll be detected far too easily with what I'm wearing now." It was true. Thought the dress had a large rip in the front from fence-hopping, it was far too elegant for anyone in town to own.

Saens took his cowl back and put it back on. 'New clothes?' he asked. 'Fine. Stay here.' He walked out of the alley putting his hood up. He walked down the street to where he knew a clothing vendor would be at. He looked around and observed everything around him. 'This'll be easy.' he thought. 'No town guards, not many people around.'

Saens approached the purveyor and grinned. He spotted exactly what he was going to take before he reached the stand. He noticed a small black top and some slim black pants. If the girl was on the run, she'd need to dress darkly. 'May I help you?' asked the clothing merchant. Saens slightly grinned and looked up at the man. 'Yeah.' he replied quietly. In one swift motion he grabbed both of the garmets and took of quickly back to the alley.

He could hear the man calling for the guards as he ran away. He looked back and saw that there was infact one guard chasing him. He looked forward and saw a large crowd around the food area of the markets. He ran into the crowd knocking over a few people. He slowed himself down and removed his hood, as to act like a normal person. He slowly made his way to the alley way where he left the girl.

He avoided being caught and made it back to the alley. 'Here.' he said as he threw the clothes at the girl. 'Go ahead and change, I'll make sure no one comes down the alley.' Saens turned his back to the girl and stood watching out of the alley.
