| OOC - Looks can be decieving [Vampires, Angels, Humans, ect] A new school year. She didn't get it. As Natsuki stood in the assembly hall with all the other new students and listened to the principal's speech about how nice the place was; she didn't understand how she could be standing there with so many humans. She took a glance around, frowning a little. No. Not just humans. There were other beings there as well. She could smell the difference in their blood. But with so many people there, she couldn't begin to pin-point who was who. She looked down to the card and name tag she was wearing. "School B". What did that mean? She knew the school had a total of six buildings; two for each generalized grade. But she couldn't help but wonder how they chose who went into what buildings and why. She glanced around again. The student council had been busy that day. Along with her, there had been an entire boat full of students that had had to register before they could even get past the gates of the school grounds. The principal's speech ended. A short instruction to go to their respective buildings was given, and the students filed out. Most were talking to each other, the new kids looking for name tags of the older students and asking for help to find the buildings. She kept quiet, simply following one of the older students with the same tag as she had. She didn't need to ask someone for help. All she had to do was follow the older students who had Builing B on their tags. She began to notice the fact that the smell of human blood was beginning to fade dramatically. She rose a brow at that, and it clicked. Of course. Building B was for students like her. Students.. who weren't human. She wondered, then, if the teachers there were like them as well. She shifted slightly, tugging the jacket of her school uniform. If they had a sepperate building for their schooling, she wondered if there were sepparate dorm buildings for them as well. She moved into the lines as some of the older students took groups of them in different directions for "Campus tours". She blinked when she realized that at least a quarter of the people on the boat were like her. Unhuman. Still, she stayed toward the back, simply listening.. and taking in everything around her.

"'Bout time." Natsuki grumbled under her breath when her 'guide' finally showed up. She rolled her eyes, still staying in the back. Jeez. The school was a freaking nut house already. She crossed her arms behind her head, leaning her head back a little to look up a bit. She couldn't help but wonder if every day was like that. She frowned at that thought. If every day was as crazy as this one turned out to be, she was going to hate it there. Natsuki.. wasn't the type of person who liked to stay in groups. In fact, she'd rather be on her own somewhere quiet. Unfortunately, her sire had told her she had no choice but to obey the rules or he would be there himself to rectify punishment. She shuddered at that thought. Oh, she couldn't wait for him to die. She frowned at that thought, crossing her arms over her chest and paying attention again. Sure was fancy for a school..

Mirei yawned exaggeratedly, gesturing toward the room toward her left, at this point, they'd been in the main building that she judged this little group would attend classes in, her gesture was aided by her explanation, "This is the cafeteria, you'll eat here and if you use any sort of magic under the eye of the teachers, you'll probably get a detention." She sighed at the idea, remembering how much of a difficult time she'd learned the "No Powers in the Cafeteria" rule, and having some not-so-pleasant flashbacks of her time in detention with the awful head of discipline at the school, what was her name again? Mirei didn't care much to think about it that much, as it would no doubt be wrought with increasingly worse memories of her time earlier in her life around this place, although the bad memories were equally met with some fairly pleasant ones, Mirei brought her head back out of flashback mode, and remembered the nervous anxiousness these newbies most likely possessed for the place. She motioned to classroom after classroom, giving a brief description of each room and the person who taught there to the best of her knowledge, smiling with a sort of glum undertone to every word she said, she felt like time had decided to take a break and slow down to a damn well near standstill. She sighed and hoped the other students hadn't noticed, but at this point is was actually the last thing on her mind. She inconspicuously shrugged off the tense feeling of some sort of foreboding madness and continued the tour, hoping that the tour was coming to a close, and luckily enough, she was almost done, ending at the beginning of the building, right before the doors, she gave a sweet smile with some sort of sincere kindness behind it and asked out, "Any questions?" |

There was one student on the campus that seemed to refuse hiding her demonic presence. She seemed to materialize out of thin air as the students came closer to the dorms of B. She stood to the front with gray skin, a fantastic head dress that matched her skin, and brilliant white hair, holding a commanding air about herself as she turned around slowly to face the other students as they came towards her. "Welcome new students! I am Yhael Minest, and I run the dorms of Building B. I'll be explaining some things as you are here." She motioned back towards the students, towards the gateway that connected themselves to the building. It was simple enough; black bars with a slow arch across the top, apparently normal. "You may have noticed the gateway as you passed through here, and you may have noticed that I seemed to show up out of thin air. It's a key component of magic in this place, a powerful illusion spell set up during the early days of the Academy. To all normal humans, this gateway looks like the wall of the Academy, feels like it too. To all Specials-my own term for our breeds-it appears as the gateway. The spell also afflicts the minds of students; if you pass through while a human is looking towards you, they will not be able to recall the event. It's a handy cover for us, and allows Specials to pass around in a more natural fashion. If you have any questions or concerns about your dorm assignments, just come to me; I'm on the top floor."

Natsuki hadn't bothered asking questions. She'd find out about things she needed to know on the tour, and if she didn't, she'd ask then. She blinked when they began heading toward the dorms with...Yhal? Yahl? She growled in aggitation. That was going to get annoying. "Hey!" She called up, her voice rather.. bored, though the hint of aggitation was in it as well. "You got a shorter name we can call you? Something that ain't so complicated to pronounce?" Odd names. Ugh. She hated that. She frowned as she looked to the older student leading them and explaining about the doors, and even more so when a few of the other students laughed at her. She tensed at that, her knuckles flexing and popping on reflex. Calm down, Suki. She told herself. The last thing you need is a fight on the first day.

"Ah, one of the only people to speak up," She said, walking forward towards the girl. "You can call me Minnie, my dear," She spoke with a grin, turning as she watched the people file into the dorms. "Who are you roomed with, Miss... Suki, is it?" She looked back with a devious grin, "A vampire, eh? That's interesting... Not the first one through the gates, but interesting nevertheless."

She blinked, watching her for a moment before smirking a little herself. "Suki's my nick name." She said easily. "And I have no idea who I'm suppose to be roomed with." She shrugged, moving to lean against the closest wall. "Personally, I don't care. The only reason I'm here is because my stupid sire wants me to. I'm not really the kind of person who makes friends anyway." She said, looking over to the side. ...A person can't really make friends without knowing who they are. And, well.. all she knew was her name and the last two years of her life. Anything before that was pretty much lost.

"At least you have a sire, my dear," Minnie said, pointing to a dorm at the end of hall. "Your dorm is down there, apparently you've got one to yourself... Please remember to call my room if you have any issues, I have plenty of free time this year." She swept away without another word, heading towards the stairway.

She rose a brow at that, but shook her head slightly and moved off toward the room Minnie had indicated. She moved toward her room, opening the door. "Huh." She muttered to herself, noticing her bags; which she had to leave at the front gate, had already been put in her room. Well, they hadn't been giving her a line of bull after all. She moved into the room, looking around it. "Is this a dorm or an apartment building?" She questioned, noticing the kitchen and livingroom in the large room. Well, it looked more like a hotel room suite but still. She shifted, waving her hand. Her bags unzipped and after a few moments, things began floating out. She didn't worry about the door being open. She was using magic in her own room, not out in public. Besides. It was all "specials" as Minnie liked to call them, that was there anyway. So, she began using her telepathy power to unpack her things. Clothes folded themselves neatly or hung themselves in the closet. Drawers opened. A few beauty supplies moved neatly into the medicine cabinet of the bathroom. Her laptop hooked itself up near the couch and she shifted, moving to sit down as she could use it. She'd been waiting all day long to get back to what she'd been doing before she'd had to get off the boat, and now she was finally able to do it. No sound came, other than the occasional clicking. Not that she actually did anything. She sat there with her hands comfortably behind her head, her powers doing the work for her. Her eyes simply stared at the screen, reading over it closely.
