Default Necropolis (more in OOC)

Spring Haven has been torn asunder. Since a bizarre accident in a pharmaceutical plant sub-level the city hasn't been the same. A drug meant to stay the effects of aging has brought the dead back to the realm of the living...and they're hungry.

Small pockets of life still exist in the city which is now held in a tight military quarantine. No one come in with out the President's say so and absolutely no one leaves.

How will you survive?

Sgt Ryan poked his head out of the window. He was 3 stories up, in an abandoned hotel. The door was locked, and he had turned the bed up against it to further seal it. The small room had a balcony, but Ryan didn't feel like exposing himself like that yet. So he watched out the window.

The zombies had came, and Ryan and his squad had been send to "Clean it up". Heh. That was not going to happen. Had high command never seen a horror movie? Ryan thought to himself. Well, things happened almost exactly like in the movies. The got separated, and people got eaten, zombies got shot and so on. A movement distracted Ryan from his thoughts.

There was a zombie stumbling down the road, Ryan could have shot it, but was low on ammo, and the sound would have brought more. He had a large knife (8") that he had taken from the kitchen on his way up here. "Blades don't need reloading" He thought. He slid back down and sat against the wall, wondering if there was another person alive in the city.

Jake sat with his back against the front of the only desk in the small room of a book store. All the shelves were now practically empty, being barricaded up against windows and doors. A few adjacent peices of broken glass lay on the blue carpeted wooden floor. From outside, a single one of those abominations was limping its way down one of the evacuated city streets. Personally, Jake wanted to leap out and strangle it with his bare hands, but he was too preacupied at the moment. You couldn't see Jake's eyes due to his dark black hair hanging over them, but his emotion was clear.

A tear fell from his face. With a tiny splash, it landed on a small polariod. It was his first day working at the store. First day working with Sara. She was probably the one who got him the job. Back then, Jake didn't think much of it, which you could tell by the emotionless look in his face. But, that was only part of the picture. It was a picture of him and Sara. She had insisted that they take a picture of the two of them, but like I said, Jake didn't care. *plop* Another tear fell on the old still memories. It's been about a week now. A couple days since she'd been gone. The past few days, felt like a few lifetimes.

Jake was a bit shockingly interrupted by his watch's beeping alarm. Over the bit of time he had forgotten about the rest of the world. Jake put down the picture, and reached down to press the bottom right button to turn off the alarm till tommorrow. It was time to check if they......if he, could get any service with his cellphone.

He reached down into his pocket, and pulled out his black phone. Jake flipped it open.
(Does he?)

Derrick yawned and glanced out the window of his two story house, watching the undead walk by, not aware of him. He yawned again and grabbed a breakfast bar, his eyes blurry. He checked on the barricade that was on the stairs, making sure it wouldn't give way anytime soon. He checked his watch and took a shower, drying off and making sure the R700 was loaded and ready, his hunting rifle's bullets on the table next to it, the gun laying in the corner. He sighed and did his daily duties, then pulled a chair up to the window and watched the undead limp, drag, crawl.
