OOC: It's pronounced Aayla Secura, and no, if it's the after Caedus era, than for a mandalorian, Beskar became free. There was a major beskar find on mandalore that allowed this accomodation. Also it is not a god-mod because it has flaws. It cannot suffieciently cover joints or all of the neck area. Also if we are trying to realistically roleplay then we cannot ban beskar becuase it is the primary armour of the mando. The force is the advantage of the jedi while beskar is the advantage of mandos...hell there is even a force power that can destroy beskar with ease called Shatterpoint.

((yeah, Aayla Secura was a Twi'lek. I just wasn't sure, because TheOracle said many years after the Caedus incident... I haven't read the books from that time period, so I'm just going off timelines for that... there seems to be a gap right after his death where nothing is known to happen (like a good 80 years), so I also don't know what happened with the Jedi temple around that time. Also, I agree about the OOC thread. I'll clear up what I need to in my profile later... which is pretty much just where the Jedi temple is))
Nata'ido rose slowly from where she had been sitting for countless hours now, the numerous layers of clothing she wore still not quite enough to hold against the bitter colds of Ilum. Luckily the Force seemed strong in the crystal caves, keeping her warm and safe. She had been on the planet now for several weeks, crafting the hilt will what many would consider to be painfully slow precision. But at last, she was done, the lightsaber was complete, the crystal imbued with the Force through hours and hours of deep meditation. She held it out in front of her, her thumb slowly sliding onto the activation plate. She knew that had the job been done carelessly, activating the saber could be dangerous; but she had let the Force guide her actions in slowly manipulating every part of it. She pressed, and with the familiar crack-hiss, the blue blade formed. She tested its weight and balance with a few swings, then spun it in her left hand, her right moving to the hilt that was already strapped to her belt, and a second blade ignited. Comparing the two, a slight smile formed as she confirmed that they were nearly indistinguishable from one another, just as she had planned. She let both extinguish, then clipped them to her belt on either side, heading down the tunnel that had led her inside, and she put on the rest of the survival gear she had abandoned for the ritual. She knew that the trip to the Ilum crystal caves was no longer needed nor expected for the creation of a lightsaber, but the connection to the Force that she felt in this place was too strong for her not to come. She removed the cable launcher from her belt as she reached the edge of the cave, which dropped straight down in a sheer sheet of ice. Firing the cable into the icy surface, she pushed off, rappelling down the cliff until the cable was at its end, the cut a small foothold and handhold for herself before repeating the process several more times to make it to the base of the mountain. As she returned to her ship, she was glad for its warmth, and quickly took off to find the hyperspace transport ring where she had left it in orbit. Plotting a course for Tatooine, she let her eyes drift shut. She wasn't expected back at the temple for another week, and something tugged at her to make her way to the desert planet, though part of her wondered if it wasn't just the warmth. |

IC:
Just so you know Draco, the main temple stayed on Coruscant. The branch temple on Ossus was invaded by Caedus during his rule, but was later refurbished and used just after, so both temples are legit... OOC: Lucaj Trask sat adjacent to his duros first mate and best friend Roiy Bolks, peering out the viewport at the planet known as Bakura. This was one of the most effecient mining planets of the outer rim. They would raid it, why? Because the crew aboard the Telosian Corvette Prince of Telos were space vikings, a group much more organized and brutal than pirates. Space Vikings went down like blitzkreig and came up twice as fast, twice as murderous, and twice as rich as any pirating group. And today Bakura would lose a mining colony to the space vikings of Prince of Telos. Lucaj Trask was once the crown prince of Telos, his father, the king, and his younger brother, 3rd in line for king. But when his brother killed his father, and made an attempt on Lucaj's life, it all went downhill. Lucaj was rendered unconcious by a slash across his face by a vibrosword and a blast wound to the chest. During this period of unconciousness his brother framed him for the murder. When Trask awoke he was surrounded by guards, thanks to his still loyal friend Roiy Bolks he escaped with his life and fled the planet with his ship and others loyal to him. And here he was raiding planets for loot. The corvette made it further into Bakura's atmosphere without being detected than Lucaj predicted. But when they were detected ground turrets and orbital cannon fire surrounded them, bouncing off the deflectors like harmless tennis balls. Some well aimed shots found their way through, but Bakura, not expecting an attack wasn't up to date on defences. The main observationist aboard quickly pinpointed a colony and the corvette was there almost as fast. They landed "Kill anyone who takes arms, leave everyone else. Take anything valuable", Lucaj shouted to the unloading men. The battle was fierce, but not for the vikings, in the end 20 out of 22 women and 1 out of 12 men remained in the colony . "Lucky man, twenty dames to himself", Roiy chuckled. Lucaj humpfed in agreement but was sick to his stomach. That toll was unnecessary, people were too attached to their belongings, they should have just let it be. Roiy noticed this and patted Lucaj on the back. "Sorry Prince", he still called him that, and Lucaj respected him for it. Lucaj nodded and boarded the corvette, leaving the planet with much more money than they came with. Lucaj would never tell his crew, but he was dead out of credits. And this would last them for awhile. "This should go for 30,000 creds", the viking accountant shouted with glee. Lucaj grinned and made his way to his sleeping quarters for a rest. His utility droid REM greeted him with a beep, Lucaj drifted off to sleep

((IC: Alright, thanks Oracle. I'm in the process of reading the better part of the books in chronological order, so I'll be a while before I get to the Caedus part))
The small interceptor roared down into the atmosphere, then slowed, its engines deactivating, its repulsorlift taking its place. The ship slowly lowered into one of the smaller docking bays in Mos Eisley space port. Nata'ido emerged, dropping to the ground next to the ship as the canopy closed at the command of a small remote on her belt. She stopped only to give a few credits to cover docking fees, then headed out into the streets. Rather than keep one place in mind, she simply let herself be gently guided. As she wandered the streets, she began to wonder why she was here; she knew the planet was generally rife with illegal activities, but a Jedi couldn't fix every dispute in the galaxy. Part of her had to wonder if she was wasting her time by being here; she wasn't a Master, afterall, and there was a chance she had misread the feeling she had gotten. |

Caden wandered the streets of Mos Eisley at night letting the force guide him. He had left Zix'et behind in the Cerberus. The place was way bigger on the inside than it looked from outside. The winding streets and tight corners housed secret nooks that could only be found from exploring on the ground. Suddenly sensing a disturbance or more of a power in the force approaching Caden stopped. His hands flew to his lightwhip. Had they come for him? No this seemed to be one person. Pearing around the next corner he saw a Twi'lek. Sensing that she was a jedi Caden began to follow her. What was a jedi doing here? The jedi did not welcome him openly and it would not do any good that he was following one of them.

Nata'ido's steps almost faltered as a presence became clearer to her; perhaps she hadn't misread the Force after all. Whoever or whatever it was, it didn't seem to be dark, but it was unmistakably not that of a Jedi. She let her eyes slide half shut, the Force still guiding her, but relied on it more heavily to search the area; it seemed that whatever it was, it was following her. She resisted the urge to let a hand come to rest on her lightsaber, knowing it would indicate she knew she was being followed.
Hoping to make it seem like she was here to speak with an informant who might have requested a Jedi be sent to settle a dispute, Nat headed down a few smaller streets. She headed down a small alley, then ducked into a small alcove off to the side, hopefully out of the sight of her pursuer. She did what she could to mask her exact location through the Force, hoping to gain the element of surprise. She now let her right hand gently push her cloak aside, finding the smooth metal of her lightsaber hilt |

Caden followed close but not too close. Suddenly he lost sight of her. Expanding his mind he triedt to locate her using the force. He was unsucessful. She was hiding. That meant that she knew that he was following her. Caden activated his lightwhip letting it rest down by his side. 'Who are you and why have you come jedi?" Caden asked in a booming voice.

Nat stepped out from where she had been hidden, facing her pursuer with a lightsaber in her right hand. The other was still on her belt, hidden from view by her cloak. As she stepped out, her thumb pressed the activation plate, causing the blue blade to thrum to life. She would have preferred not activating weapons, but was not willing to leave herself open to an attack from his lightwhip.
"Jedi Knight Nata'ido," she said, studying the man for a moment, holding the saber out in front of her in a relaxed defensive stance, trying to make it clear she wasn't going to attack. "I sensed a disturbance in the Force, perhaps I have now found its origin." |
