Null-1 buried his face in his hands, groaning beneath his breath. "Great. More morons. Was there a fething giant sign above Kamino saying 'Please Come Here'? We're not gonna make it anyway."

He especially did not appreciate the way his so-called commanding officers were engaged in petty infighting. Thank god he didnt have to listen to those fools.

Jesska had little authority over the Null, or didnt choose to exercize it. And weather Keq wanted to admit it to himself or not, he had made a huge tactical blunder, turning a sad inevitablity into an immediate disaster.

But Keq is talking to himself; the trandoshan has already moved out onto the lines. The air ripples with the pressure-wave of the first line of explosives on a distant bridge. Somewhere in the rubble, DC-17 sniper varients flick long blue-white bolts towards the line of white that begin to reply with more volumous DC-15 fire.

A wall of blasterbolts backed by an implacable foe.

Default Rage Of The Shadow Warriors

As the first volley of blaster fire sounded through the night, Keq gave the signal.

"Alright boys, that's our cue! Let's show em why Mandos are the most feared in the galaxy!", Keq said, making a quick Death Watch salute before vaulting over the cover used by Talon Squad, quickly followed by most of The Privateers.

The Chiss and Trandoshan had quickly returned to the ships, and as all three ships took off, their armaments almost instantly came alive with streams of death.

Keq had entered his battle mindset. His axe was not merely a weapon anymore. It was an extension of his arm. He had no armor, only skin. One, two, three, they dropped effortlessly. This is what it meant to be Mandalorian.

(back-tracking some) Cyphor looked at Darok for a few long moments, his fur making slow even ripples. "Come along then, It's probably better to keep you out of the blaster sights for the time being." Throwing a look over his shoulder at the trandoshan The clones he trusted to keep to their discipline, but if the trandoshan went into another bloodrage there was no telling who would be her targets.

The alarm went off soon after they arrived at the command Centre, just about the same time as the first explosions tore through the front ranks of the empires forces. It didn't take long to see what was happening, through vid-feeds and sort range sensor packs that had been set up a pretty grim picture was presented. The empire had had enough it seemed, the forces coming in numbered in the hundreds. a dozen or so AT-RT's and a couple of AT-TE's backed up the troopers on foot. Why was it never easy...

Because easy wouldnt be any fun.

Keq's forces blindly charge...right into the middle of the stanged crossfire. The resistance troopers and Talon's commandos have to pull their punches; lest they fry the idiot mercenaries. Boomer doesnt detonate the second string of demolitions, and the blasterfire slackens.

They do what they can, of course; keeping up a relentless kill count against the approaching lines that already filter through the rubble and captured fascilities. Half of the battle takes place below the churning sea; in the coridoors and tunnels of the Kaminoan fascility.

The Empire pushes on , marching foreward with a steady, horrible certainty. Explosions rock the resistance clone lines, and blasterfire quickly rises in ferocity as the white-armored individuals close.

Lucius kicked a clone in the chest, whipping his rifle around, and ragged holes soon dotted his foe's armor, seeping blood. One. Rolling out into the next corridoor, Null-1 shot off another shot, resulting in clone brains plastering the wall behind. Two Immediately, he vaulted across the corridoor, smashing into another trooper, his wristblade extending by reflex, entering through the chink between the helmet and the armor. Three. Hearing footsteps, Lucius unhooked a 'nade, and lobbed it around the corner. A blast of hot air and a boom encompassed him, as he ducked behind the wall for cover. Turning, his rifle at ready, he was greeted by charred bodies. Seven There. He spied the entrance from which those damned Imps came in from. A door at the end of the corridoor. Sprinting, Null-1 shot rapidly with his shattergun, spraying the walls with blood and gore. At the end, stood one sergeant, a look of surprise on his face as what seemed to be a fellow commando decimated his troops, jumped into the air and landed knee-first on him. Lucius stared for a split-second into an exact replica of his face, before plunginh his blade deep into it. Standing up, he flicked the blood off his visor and blade. Fifteen. Kicking open the door, Null-1 prepared to fight off the invaders. What he saw was not what he had expected. An immense platform lay in front of him, the rain sleeting off the edges. Thousands. Thousands of identical troops stood in perfect formation, guns at the ready. At the forefront stood a menacing figure, decked in mando armour. Boba Fett. Stupid kid. He gave an order, and the army moved as one, marching forward. Fierfek. Lucius lobbed his last remaining det at the enroaching army. Turning tail, Lucius ran through the corridoors, to get back to the surface and warn the others. The battle was lost. They were all screwed. And the damned Kaminoans needed better intel. Thirty-Five.

Default Soldiers of the Wasteland

Sure it seemed like a stupid tactic. And under the command of anyone else it probably was a stupid tactic.

But combined with the Mandalorian art of flipdartting, and it wasn't so stupid after all. Flipdarting consisted of moving from cover to cover in an almost random fashion, and often bypassing cover to continue running in an attempt to through the enemy off.

It worked quite well on the opposing clones, and The Privateers closed on the forward most AT-TE. The infantry that were coupled with it were quickly disposed of, s Keq climbed up the front leg, hacking away at the entry hatch with his axe.

"Grorg!", Keq yelled into the dark night. The wookie pulled itself up onto the AT-TE, and grabbed the weakened entry hatch, wrenching it from the AT-TE.
Keq climbed in, and after dispatching the crew in one fell sweep, sat down at the controls. Several other Privateers piled in, and began to get to work at the various stations.

"Alright. This thing can't be too hard to drive....", Keq remarked, taking a firm grip of the controls and beginning to swing the AT-TE around to confront the tide of soldiers.

Except that AT-TEs are heavy weapons, and always deployed at the rear of an infantry charge. And seldom alone.

Two more AT-TEs note that their fellow is no longer under Imperial hands, and promptly turn their combined guns on it.

Now that the mercs are out of the keffing crossfire, the resistance can open up full-bore again.

The Commandos are ghosts. The others catch only glimpses of colored armor moving through the lines. An explosion here, and withering barage of Deece fire onto a vulnerable officer or weakened flank. They are constantly being pushed back by the tide, as are the other resistance fighters, but they make the Empire bleed for every step.

Jesska, by comparisson, is a maelstrom. Where she is, bodies begin to pile around her. Throats torn, heads crushed, limbs ripped from their torsos. The Trandoshan is a grisly engine of war unto her lonesome, and she moves through the debris-clogged melee howling for more blood.

She plucks up a trooper that had descended onto a resistance clone and flings him bodily into the sea. Whirls and grasps the neck of another that'd brought his rifle up to strike her, crushing his vertabrea in her claws. Dropping the limp figure and in the same motion lifting the resistance trooper onto his feet, she turns and fires her shattergun into an approaching cluster, diving head-first into the survivors with her scimitar blades flashing.

Default Don't Mess With Mandos Mate!

The sound inside the AT-TE is deafening, as it shakes violently with each volley. The hijackers route all power to the main gun, as the legs lock up, frozen in place. A single beam of energy streaks through the night, crippling another AT-TE but destroying the turret in the process.

Keq and The Privateers pile out, as the legs of the walker give out, providing cover from the heavy fire. . They are momentarily pinned down until help arrives from the sky. One of the Firespray ships (The Basilisk to be prescise) opens fire on the remained AT-TE, damaging several of the secondary turrets.

Keq and company jump at the opportunity, moving from their cover to cut down the column of infantry. One of the Iridonians gets close enough to plant a charge on the underbelly of the AT-TE before being cutdown. As the Privateers fall back to cover, Keq fires on the charge from his wristblaster, sending the AT-TE up in flames.

Cyphor watched the vidfeeds and reports filter in as privateers took momentary control of the lead AT-TE and the subsequent disabling of the other two on the sensors, there were still hundreds of imperial troops facing the resistance clones but it looked for the moment that the lines might just hold in the long run, maybe. Cyphor continued watching the feeds and giving advise to those leading the fight from the command centre, some of which had tried to hand command over to him when he arrived in the room. But Cyphor didn't want to lead, that was one reason why he had been training younglings at the temple when order 66 was implemented rather than fighting on the front lines.

When a clone trooper rushed into the room and told them of a second larger force a Null had reported moving through the lower portions of the facility, Cyphor swore under his breath. Gathering a squad of troopers he set off for the lower levels. A quick scan on a map had indicated several heavy choke points where he hopped to stem the tide of the imperial troops before they reached more critical levels, although he didn't hold much hope that it would work for long.
