"If only that would help." he said with a slight smile, his voice easy and slightly gentle, though there was a note of mildness in it that implied restraint. "No, I'm just enjoying the sights and people watching. Something I can help you with?" The strange woman with the visor was interesting, to say the least, and somehow he sensed the force in her...curious...

As I slip through the widening maw in my new form, you will catch only a glimpse of my radiance before you are incinerated. Then, as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin.
I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth. |

He looked to the girl with a raised eyebrow, amused as he shifted and made room in case she wanted to sit. "What people don't seem to realize is that the mandalorians are pissed at the jedi because the jedi have kept them from killing us all one too many times. The only ones really affected by it are the jedi; people say that the Sith are under attack, but when have you heard about a sith lord falling low to a bunch of mandalorians? that's just my opinion, and I'm a bit biased...but by the looks of things, so are you." he said with a slight nod and a smile.

Well, that answers that... Elyse said; her gut feeling had apparently been right, he was trained, and he wasn't a Sith. That is of course assuming he isn't lying...
"I wouldn't say the Jedi were the only ones being affected..." she replied, sitting down, "Anyone who gets caught but isn't part of either dies or give up their powers... For some of us, that isn't an option." For her, it was the complete truth... she had heard stories of some of her people meeting life not connected with the Force, and that alone was said to be quite an unpleasant feeling; never being able to touch it would no doubt be devastating to her. |

He nodded. "I meant organizations-there are plenty of people who are just caught in the crossfire, but of course everyone who uses the force has to be a jedi or sith." He said sarcastically before he cocked his head to the side and sighed.
"Perhaps we should simply move somewhere a bit more private and discuss this? There's a reward out, I hear, and neither of us would like to be caught." He said this quietly, leaning close to her and nodding easily to the side.

"You may be right there..." Elyse replied in a hushed voice, turning her head to look at him before standing; keeping up what had become an almost flawless guise that she actually saw with her eyes. She could hardly believe her luck, coming here to seek out the Sith as a last resort, only to meet a Jedi only moments after landing. No, not luck... something much more deliberate, she decided silently

He lead her along easily through the crowded streets of the port, sliding nimbly past the people on either side of him and making his way along. Part of his echani blood seemed to imbue him with an almost fluid grace, and as he shifted the cloak from his head his silver hair fell lightly from his face. It was a few blocks before he made his way up a set of stairs to what looked to be a fairly dingy apartment, the walls rather thin-an addition to the stone structure beneath it, not originally intended.
"Come on in. I don't bite." He said as he stepped inside.

Elyse followed behind him, making sure to keep from running into to any of the people on the streets; drawing attention was the last thing she wanted. As they reached the apartment, she gave a small smile at his comment, then walked inside. "So you not a Rancor in disguise?" she asked jokingly. The place seemed less than impressive, but she had lived in worse before, and said nothing of it.
"I've got to admit... this is the last place I expected to find a Jedi..." she said, automatically turning back to face him before remembering that she didn't have to keep up her guise with him. |

"That is kind of what I was banking on." he said wryly. as he moved and made his way to the side of the house, reaching for a small boiler. "Anything to drink? I need something to wash the taste from my mouth." he said simply before shrugging. "How did you find me, anyway?"

Hiding amongst enemies... Elyse thought, nodding slightly. "Some caf if you have any, but anything'd be fine..." she said, then motioned towards her eyes, "I'm not exactly what I seem. I'm a Miraluka... the eyes are to keep suspicions away..."
She stopped for a moment, trying to decide how to explain what had drawn her to him. "When I first saw you, there was just something different, like the Force was more focused around you than most; even those of my species. What few I've known..." |
