| OoC thread is here, read please. The world, once so vast and amazingly immense, is quickly becoming smaller. The study invested in exploration is advancing our knowledge on the matter exponentially, and the technologies resulting from each new piece of information allow things that were thought of as unbelievable to be realized and invented. Axinus grows smaller and smaller still, and as it does so, it becomes so much easier to... control. Mages of today have the ease of remarkable travel, as well. When I was a young scholar, learning the basics of my first spell and gathering an inventory of Tiren, I was required to spend weeks sailing up and down the coast to meet various great men and learn from their ways, and in this I invested years. But with the rapid and inexpensive airships of today, it is truly easy for an arcane student to get from point A to point B. Just the other day, I saw a thirty year old man with fire dancing on his fingers! The ability to Draw was his, though I could not understand how he obtained it. Had he really studied since he was four? Then it occured to me that the time I had spent was not of modern proportion. It was, in this Third Age, a much simpler task to learn the art of the ancients! - Mearil Treligan, Mage of the Second Age, Mage of the Third Age, Creator of the Endothermic Ray Jeynir thrust open the door and rushed outside the moment he awoke, barely allowing himself the time to pull on an acceptable set of clothing. His shoes touched the ground and he was greeted by a wave of intense cold that shook his entire body. Resisting the urge to go back inside, he pushed through the dense foliage that his tenement wore like a coat, paying no attention to the small thorns that stabbed at his hands and face. Wet leaves brushed his skin, doing nothing but make the cold even worse. Still, Jeynir disregarded any and every distraction, for this was the day he would leave this city, possibly forever. Fresh Tiren, obtained from a full night of sleep, glittered within him, and he felt it too. It was a presense, a powerful, energetic wave, that vibrated every particle he was made of. Flecks of golden color would occasionally wink into existance and leap from his body, fading as quickly as they had come. As he made his way into the streets of the city around his home, Jeynir's being was filled with a warm, glowing sensation despite the cold. He came out onto a stone street, turning right and following it. The dim sound of a burning flame could be heard wherever he walked, but nobody payed any attention to him, nor the power that seemed to float at his control - this was Bidai. Bidai was a city of students and teachers, scholars and masters, mages and wizards. Those who practiced the arcane arts walked through the quiet, clean streets with an aura of higher intelligence about them, casting their gaze around them and inspecting everything that came near. Jeynir was not a higher-class mage, but he was a mage nonetheless - he was no longer a student! He had finally begun to Draw magical force, Tiren, and grew stronger with every night of rest he managed, every day of study, every practiced spell. Now he felt considerably adept, since he had finally mastered the art of conjuring light, as well as heat, from nothing at all. By rubbing his hands together, he could even manage sparks of flame, and he was sure that he would soon be able to create bodies of fire. But how long would he have to wait? Weeks? Months? Years? Jeynir was known to be an impatient person. His brown hair hung down to past his shoulders, and his dark eyes always seemed to staring at something in the distance. He was anxious to learn, he was anxious to know the world, he was anxious to become great, and he was anxious to gain notoriety. The best way to get all of these things, he decided, was to become a mage. And here he was. He could teach himself now, and he was perfectly capable of doing so, efficiently. |

Seeing a single person walk out of the City of Bidai Tegernakô watched him walk down the stone road. Well this one is just a novic, you can tell by the smile on his face, dosint he know the dangers that lay out side the city? Im going to haft to watch after this one Tegernakô thought to him self as he sat ontop of clife top observing the city of Bidai from afar. I guess it only makes sence he has yet to experance all the dangers of this earth and more than likly think he is fine with just his magic skill to guide him. From the look of it he has great potental and has already learned many of the basic skills need to advance but judging by his look he more than likly has a few tricks up his sleaves. He is proably more than a fight to any high way robber or muger Tegernakô said to him self as he pulled a apple out of his leather pouch and begain to munch on it. Jumping down off the clift ledge Tegernakô went on all fours for greater stability and ran down the edge at break neck speed. After a wile Tegernakô Cought up to the young mage walking out of the city. Standing stright up Tegernakô introduced him self to the young mage Bowing low "Well hello there young mage, my name is Tegernakô and i guess you could call me the gardian of this area protecting both the living and the plants that are here. Seeing how i have a distinct lack of things to do i have taken it apon my self to escort you to your destination." Tegernakô stood up, He was quite tall, it was expected of most wolfmen to be over six foot tall but Tegernakô was about Six foot six. "So to what areas do you travel to on this fine, fine day this day is?" Tegernakô asked with a smile on his face

Jeynir heard nothing as the wolfman approached, but was quick to bow in return. He remembered hearing once that you should always try to be on the good side of a wolfman, no matter the circumstances. Making sure that his bow was nothing short of respectful, he waited for what seemed a while before straightening and getting a better look at the stranger. Clearing his head, he realized that the wolfman was talking. "...is Tegernakô and I guess you could call me the gardian of this area protecting both the living and the plants that are here. Seeing how I have a distinct lack of things to do I have taken it upon myself to escort you to your destination." Jeynir tried to speak, but no words came. He turned and continued to walk, and found that the wolfman was following. Through the cold, morning air, he could see the stranger clearly, and he found it hard to look away. His mouth clamped shut suddenly, and he realized that he had been gawking. "So to what areas do you travel to on the fine, fine day this day is?" Shaking his head once more to loosen his tongue, Jeynir responded, "My destination? Well, I... I'm not sure I have one of those." He laughed, briefly, but was not sure if this was actually very funny. "I didn't catch your name," Jeynir said, blowing into his hands to warm them. "What was it again?" |

"Its Tegernakô and i do not think you told me yours yet eather" Tegernakô A tad bit anoyed that he had to repeat him self "Anay way you say you have no destonation? Humm well then i guess that is a bit of a problem and really not much to laugh about. But im sure we can find one but till then we should just keep on the road we are on now and contiune to the next town over and there we can stop in a inn or something amoung the lines of that and chart your destionation" Tegernakô Said as he looked up at the night sky "So seeing how we have a ways to go to the next town what type of magic are you mastering in?" Tegernakô asked as he studied the stars up above.

Vayn looked up at the two figures discussing their traveling plans. She listened for a moment, then remembered she was still sitting in the middle of the road. Though she doubted if the two strangers had missed her fascinating little show of humiliation, Vayn still hoped they had. She herself was wondering where do go. Normally she just picked a road at random and when a fork in the road came up, go whichever way looked more appealing. And with her rubbish sense of direction when it came to cities, Vayn admitted to herself who stupid she was to forget her way out of the city. "Hey!" she called to the wolf guy and the stranger. "You wouldn't know how to get out of the city since you two seem to be heading to that sorta direction?"

Tegernakô said in the direction of the girl "And my name is Tegernakô, master of the healing arts and specilizing in defence magic" Tegernakô Bowed low, turned around and cought up to the young man he was following "If you want to come i would sugest you follow us" Tegernakô called back with a small smile on his face.

Jeynir looked from the wolfman to the girl, then back again. This was certainly strange. He had hardly met this many people in a month when he was learning. It was a refreshing thing, he decided, to meet new people. Refreshing and interesting. "My name is Jeynir," he spoke to both of them. "I'm one of the many magi in this city. This..." He raised his hand and motioned to the gigantic, stone walls that encompassed the entirety of the city. "...I've never left these walls, besides an occasional trip to retreive spell components. Really, this has been my entire life." At these words, Jeynir felt very suddenly that something was missing inside him. He couldn't quite pinpoint it, but he knew it was there. Something that was very alien, and yet seemed so vital to his very existance. Something primitive and instinctive. It was a yearning feeling. "What's it like?" he asked after a pause. "Out there, outside of the city? What's out there? Is it like they say it is? Is there a lot to see?" Cracking like a mental whip, his mind screamed at him to stop speaking. He blinked, and recognized that he must sound very unworldy, not to mention naive. What was he thinking, asking such silly questions? He could experience the world himself, he didn't have to ask strangers. But still, it felt odd, like a portion of his entire being was missing. He had never felt this way before, and had never anticipated it in the slightest. But the feeling was there, and it was furiously present. |

"What is it like to travel around the world jumping from one place to another, and learning new things from the wise men in the area. It is great trust me you will love it learning new things meeting new people talking to diffrent animeals and plants to see how there day was, trust me its great." Looking at Jeynir Tegernakô smiled "Trust me its fun as hell and you will love it. Iv been doing this for the last 16 of my 20 year life and it neaver gets old" Looking backa t the city Tegernakô frowned "Staying coped up in one are for to long really dulls your spiret and makes you mean spirited, that is why the politics are so messed up in this world." Tegernakô said as he looked up at the sky again studing the stars.

No sooner had Tegernako(I don't have the accent thing on the 'o' =\) looked up into the sky than the stars slowly faded out due to growing clouds. No more than half a mile away, the sky opened up, clouds gathering only to have a hole torn in them by a black misty mass chased by what looked like a large crystal with a figure inside of it. It had seemed like they were about to collide, given that the crystal was traveling much faster, when a sudden massive arc of lightning struck the Shadow's pursuer, sending it spinning out and crashing into the forest with chunks rapidly breaking off of the crystal shell. Meanwhile, the Black mass escaped over a hill. The clouds quickly sparked rain over the forest and slowly spreading out, just like any other storm.
