Linda sighed as the rain drummed on the windscreen of her car, the darkness was descending upon them and she hated driving out in this weather, especially when her and her daughter were alone out in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere. She looked to her left where her daughter Nicky was sitting, her ipod in her ears.
"Nicky love, can you turn that off please," she said as she tried to steer the car around a huge puddle of mud.
"Why? So I can hear the rain trying to drill through our car roof?" she asked sarchastically.
"Oh come on, we're here on vacation, to visit your father on his farm," replied Linda.
"Why did we have to come to Wales? There's nothing but rain and sheep," she said as she turned the volume of her ipod up.
After a few moments the car ground to a halt. Linda looked up from the dashboard and out up to the cliff that was nearby. There was something out there, a figure. She looked beside her to see how Nicky was and found her gone.
Linda pulled her seatbelt off and got out of the car, peering through the rain with difficulty.
"NICKY! GET AWAY FROM THERE!!" she shouted as the figure stepped off the edge of the cliff.
Linda screamed and ran over to the edge, looking over the side to see if she could see or hear anything. The rain was still falling and drumming on her head.
"No, Nicky," she cried, her head in her hands.
"Um, mom, I'm right here," came a small voice.
Linda jumped up and pulled Nicky into her arms. "Thank god you're safe," she said tears falling down her cheeks.
"Who was that person who jumped off the cliff?"
"I don't know, come on let's get back to the car," Linda replied as they turned back to the car. As they started to walk back, out of nowhere a flock of sheep, who looked spooked started to stampede towards them. Linda grabbed Nicky and dived to the floor as the sheep started to run to the edge off the cliff, running straight off it and onto the beach below...
