E'manel blinked sleepily, the observation of these soldiers had been tiresome to say the least. Nothing eventful ever seemed to happen. Tripods and ships were comeing and going, but no major figures seemed to come. He frowned as much as his mouthless face would allow him and orderd his troops to move in, noislessly, thanks to the psionic link they all shared. Move in. . . Take out the machines first, and don't give your positions away until most of the big guns are down. We lost 14 men on that last raid. We don't have many of our kind to spare. The first platoon of Zealots slowly emerged from the rubble of the destroyed building, they began to activate their cloaking force fields, stalking closer and closer to the large group of soldiers in Taipei their psionic blades glowing in the near darkness. Approaching enemy group. . . No mechs in the area. . Begin the strike and hope they don't call for back up? Too risky. Find a nearby source of cover and get your cloaking shields regenerated, then we'll wait a bit. Sir! They're almost all sleeping! It would be like killing Zerg larvae sacks! I'm sorry Captain Ingzael, but we have to be cautious. The Captian and his men stopped, and slowly and quietly began to move backwards, before hideing in the ever present rubble. ---------------------------- Meanwhile, near TRU Labs, ---------------------------- Mina scratched her head and began to take of in the direction of north-east We'll see if we can't find help there. . . She said back to James as she ran forward, not even looking back. [[<--- I know it's short. . . I like E'manel.]] |

Mina stops, spotting the large pile of rubble that used to be a large city, My god. . . She says quietly as awe and horror spreads across her face. Who would do such a thing? Her mind almost shut down as she thought about what the invasion must have been like. We have to see if anything in there is still alive! She rushes forwards, stumbling up a large pile of debris and stareing out over the decimated city. ------------- A few miles from there, ------------- Fine. I approve the strike captian, hold a few seconds though. As the first shell hits I want you to move in and take them all out. Quickly. Thank you sir, I knew you would spot the oppertunity eventually. I will obey your orders. A few minutes passed. . . . Edgeing slowly across the minds of the Protoss. . . Three. . . . Two. . . . One. . . Shell has begun flight. . . . BOOM. The deafening sound filled the air as the ion shell hit the center of the clearing, instantly killing 2 of the aliens, and wounding another. With that the Protoss that had surrounded the clearing burst from there hideing places and rushed the aliens, quickly dispatching the small group of startled aliens without a single casualty. Move was a success. The small party has been neutralized with zero casualties. What is our next move? Report back. The Warp Gate should be completed soon, but we'll need some extra muscle to heft up the last peice. Expect you here before it is necisary. Yes sir. Let's move out! The small group of Protoss began their stealthed sprint home. |

An Extra-terrestrial network of roots had begun enveloping Taipei, an eerie blue glow from the hyphae like structures. A small tower emerged slowly in certain parts of networks, as they scattered spores around the city, slowly creating more of the blue-roots. Central to this massive network was a lumbering spire, being constructed by flying bio-mechanical drones. Assimilation had begun. BOOM. The unmistakable shock wave of an ion-blast rippled near the heart of the city, detonating multiple human structures, and killing two Alien soldiers. Troopers and drones ceased their work abruptly, watching the horizon, as the aftermath cloud of the blast wafted away. "Contact the Grand Admiral, immediately! We have bugs!" ----------- "So... you three are stating that we have an infestation of Protoss running amok?" "Yes, your highness, we are attempting to track them down. However, we are susceptible to human attacks, as that last raid took down our main sentries!" "Interesting. However, we have more pressing matters on our hands." "W-What? Grand Admiral, our soldiers in Theta-59 are in danger as we speak!" "Such matters do not concern me. Knowing them, they will not strike the same place once. They are a guerrilla group, they are. I'd recommend the deployment of the Biological Assimilation Units." "The Zerg?" "Yes, now, I shall continue. The Left have successfully captured a human Cyborg." The invasion council applauded, as the mechanic door hissed opened, two Aliens dragging a cyborg into the council, as the blue light illuminated the group's faces. "Interrogation crew, begin interrogation on this specimen, and research it. After finishing, send the specimen as well as the results to the Mutagen department."

The TRU had finally rebuilt the shattered defences of New York, and what was left of the DNA squadron was able to be transferre back to another front. The new target was some sort of homing beacon located three hundred and twelve kilometres south of Murmansk . It must not be allowed to proceed with it's work , it seemed to be a modified weather station being used to pinpoint the coordinates of key human defensive installations to the alien fleet. There had been some scepticism over the reliability of this information as such an important outpost would have been given a proper defence, whilst in reality there seemd to be no such life forms. However, these doubts wer effectively brushed aside when it was announced that the only rason that we have located the base was because of incredible advances in satellite imaging. The Alien fleet no doubt believe us still incaable of finding the installation and so did not bother splitting their troops. In short the DNA squadron had the element of surprise.

| That will do nicely. . . The Warpgate is complete. . . Insert the coordinates for Shakuras. One of the Protoss walked to the large building, and pressed a button on the small operation panel. A holographic screen was projected from the small light about the panel. The Protoss moved his hands into the small screen in several places, beeping sounds acting respectfully. Then a small blue swirl appeared in the center of the circular empty spot in the structure. That should do it sir. The blue swirl began to enlarge, and then a shadow developed in the center. . . Larger and larger it grew, until eventually it enveloped the whole vortex. The Dark templar, holding it's large double edged scythe in it's hands, What is this? A rogue port- He stopped, spotting the audience of lost Protoss, General E'manel! Many orbits have you been lost! Aren't you a dark templar. . . . ? Yes, but I haven't removed my telepathic nerves like the rest of my kind. Good. Suddenly something went wrong, BOOM! (Again. . . ?) The Warpgate exploded, and then it collapsed onto the ground, NO! All the Protoss stared in sadness as their one hope of getting home smoldered into yellowish flecks. Well that. . . Sucks. . . DAMN IT! E'manel thrust his ionic blade into the ground, rage almost radiating from him, WE'LL NEVER FIND ALL THE PARTS AGAIN! DAMN IT! Several hours later, after things calmed down, So it's agreed. I'll stay here, and train you then? Yes. Both E'manel and Izamon (Dark Templar,) walked from the small hut, Sir. . you'll never believe it. . . There's. . Zerg! They looked at each other in disbelief, How? They both thought, though not over the Psionic link. Watch them closely, we'll be there shortly. Let's bring some Immortals over there! Now! They both ran to wards where the message had come from. |

Eli started to hear voices... or at least what seemed like voices, though they sounded... odd. As he managed to force his eyes open just a little, he understood why, noticing that all the forms around him seemed to be... Oh shit... aliens... he thought groggily. He tried to move his arms and legs, but nothing happened, and talking didn't end up getting anything but a sort of grunt out, which he quickly regretted. The longer he was asleep, the less time he'd have to spend refusing to answer any questions, or enduring torture, but they'd certainly know he was awake now.
