OOC: The Rise of the Lycanthropes OOC

Phoenix's court was dwindling. Lycanthropes were being hunted, and birds were easy targets. She had personally been killed several times protecting her own. They were still alive, but it didn't make any sense... What was going on?

Of course, she knew exactly what was going on. The Vampires had finally figured out how to breed monsters. Half Vampire, half Lycan, these creatures had no self-control. Like children, they acted on a whim. Mostly they were used for props, pets, or some other demeaning task, or for intimidation or getting rid of evidence. They were vile things, these monsters. She couldn't believe the Council was sanctioning this destructive experimentation. They were out of control. It was time for action. Time to finally call all Lycans together and rid the world of these so highly coveted abominations.

"Tillie."

A black tiger-gryphon padded into the room. "Yes, Phoenix?"

"Go and see if you can find Richter. He should be close by. It is time we sent word to the other Lycans for a Council meeting. I want you to go personally to Kronos, the new Alpha. Invite him with my blessing, and we will see what we can do about that problem I spouted at you about."

"The...monsters?"

"Yes. But do not utter a word of it."

"I won't, I promise."

The tiger-gryphon left without a second glance. Phoenix reveled in the glory of having so many creatures depend on her, trust her, obey her every whim... And she reminded herself silently that she had best not abuse that privilege.




Tillie ran as fast as she could through the corridor. The empty building was eerie in the dark to human eyes. To the Aerial Lycans, it was a comfort, a home. Especially to Tillie, who had practically grown up here. Never accepted into other groups, Phoenix had finally taken her under her wing and been the mother she had never had.

As she rushed up the stairs, she scented the air. Finding the night crisp and clean, she burst through the door to the roof, letting it bounce back and close itself, and leaped from the top of the building. She fell several feet then spread her wings, taking off into the night.

Jessica Haime laid down the last cardboard box and straightened up. She enjoyed the view of her new home. She's been lucky to get such a nice attic apartment. The interior shined with light; white walls, wooden floors, modern furniture, some red details here and there. It was beautiful.

The only worry about her new flat was; it was too large and little more expensive than she'd like it to be.
She has been thinking about taking a roommate; there were two bedrooms and Jessica didn't mind a company. But turning furry once a month wasn't the best clause.

Jessica took off her shoes and walked barefoot towards the couch. Living in a town seemed to be comfortable for her though she has been worried about shifting at the full moon. I should contact the local pack, she thought, sitting on the couch. She has heard rumours telling that there was a wolf pack, however she didn't know any its member.
She decided to take care about that as soon as possible. For now, she could unpack her stuff.

After leaving in a shoddy apartment for the last few months in mourning, Ginger had decided it was time to actually get out and meet the city's wolf pack. Maybe there she could feel not so alone and sad anymore, she might even be able to feel like she had a family again.

Now outside the large building where the alpha of the pack, and where most of the pack lived, Ginger sighed slightly. This was it. Coming here would tell her if there was a chance of happiness for her again or if she should just keep on deteriating in her own made hole full of empty chinese take away boxes. Ringing the doorbell, she was sure already that some pack members would have smelled her Alpha scent and were probably watching her scruffy form from a window or two. So she just waited, wondering how exactly she would be greeted.

Stupidest video ever XXXD I'm somewhereeeeee in there

Felix reached the motel room and dropped his bag inside the door. He sighed and locked the door behind him, and flopped onto the bed, not wanting to look at the piles of boxes and various containers littering the floor. He'd been in Georgia for a month and still hadn't found an apartment. His job had already started and his stuff had all arrived.

He exhaled loudly with stress as the pressures were slowly getting him down. He had hoped to have found an apartment by now and even contacted the local pack. Knowing my luck there probably isn't one, he thought. He closed his eyes and then darted them open, determined to enjoy his first post work evening. He quickly got showered, changed and headed out to the local bar.

Perching on a stool and getting a few glances from the regulars he asked the barman for a pint of cider, which was promptly poured.

AWAY UNTIL 1ST OF MARCH

Tillie had called ahead and asked for Kronos, but a female wolf had answered the phone. The Alpha was not in, so Tillie had requested to speak to Craye, the makeshift Beta until Kronos found himself a mate to fill the position. Craye was retrieved, and they had agreed to meet at a local bar/club in town.

Tillie was, as usual, early. She checked in with the bouncer, who knew her fairly well. As she made her way to the bar, shouting hellos at the servers, she discreetly scented the air, catching several strains of Lycans. Cats on the dance floor; wolves in the billiards room; rats playing cards at a table not far away, who all momentarily glanced up at her as she passed by; foxes mingling at the other end of the bar. Tillie's senses also picked up a stray; she turned to her left and caught sight of the random Lycan. She scented the air at him, catching the wolf strain, and suddenly put herself on guard. Her sudden tension caused a slight tension to pass through all of the Lycans in the bar, and every one of them stiffened for a moment, eyes flashing to Lycan colors. Tillie felt so many beasts flare around her that she couldn't keep her own from joining them. Her tiger-gryphon flashed to the surface, purring and pushing toward the surface. She stared at the strange wolf, taking him in.

Jessica chose the bedroom; the one with a bigger window. She turned on the CD player - she has found out that with music filling the space it helped her to relax - and started to systematically unpack her clothes, books, and other things.
It took her about an hour to put right all her stuff, including several changes.
Now she stood next to the door, watching her 'den'. "Oh yeah, I like it," she smiled.
If only I could organize the rest of my life so easily, she thought and when the CD came to its end, the apartment stayed silent. Jessica shivered. She needed to get out for a while.
She remembered her friend's advice: 'After you move in, go and check out the neighbourhood.' She has been laughing at the idea but at the moment it sounded like a good goal for the evening. Or is it night already? Jess glanced out of the window. Let's discover what this place can offer. She took her coat and left the apartment, locking it.
Jessica ran down the stairs. She took a deep breath of a cold air and walked slowly, memorizing the houses, trees and signs. She spotted a bar on that block and entered it.

Felix cradled his half empty glass in his hands and sat wondering about his many troubles when the whole bar went silent. He quickly looked up, his enhanced senses immediately picking up the tension now in the air. He turned slowly around noticing everyone else in the room staring at either him or behind him. He turned fully around and noticed a young woman standing there having just entered the car. She had large blue-green eyes and long flowing blonde hair, let there was a ferocity about her that seemed to be infecting others in the room.

Felix immediately moved to high alert. And picked up his glass spying a seat in the corner of the room. Smiling apologetically he half stood up and quietly, politely asked the new drinker, "I'm sorry, am I in your seat?" worried that the lady was a quick tempered regular.

AWAY UNTIL 1ST OF MARCH

As Jessica entered the bar, she almost brushed back of a young woman standing there. Jess went round her, and an atmospheric surge hit her chest. She hardly managed not to choke, realizing that the room was full of shapeshifters. Most of them were staring at the delicate blond woman or at a man besides the bar.
Have I just stepped into a fire zone? she thought, quietly standing there, patient as she used to be in any situation. She thought about exiting but her natural curiosity didn't let her to do so.

Tillie forced her beast down and tried to make her body relax, but another Lycan nearly bumped into her, causing her to whirl around and stiffen again, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. The rest of the Lycans in the bar sensed it, and all hell broke loose. Lycans were rushing toward the concentrated energy Tillie was giving off, and a fight ensued. Tillie instinctively grabbed the strange girl's wrist and wrenched her away from the fight, pulling her against the bar and out of the way just before the other Lycans crashed together. It put her in an odd position, somehow sitting in the new wolf's lap with the girl leaning against her shoulder. As the fight continued, and bouncers added to the fray, Tillie simply watched, unable to do anything due to her lack of dominance.

Suddenly, the wolves pulled away, and the fighting simmered to a few low growls. The crowd parted, and a small woman led a blind Native American man into the bar. A low growl dribbled from her throat that only fellow Lycans could hear, and most of them left the bar before the bouncers could officially kick them out. Fortunately, Tillie reminded herself, the barkeep, the owner, and the entire staff were all Lycans as well.

Craye made her way toward the bar with Anu in tow. They sat beside Tillie still awkwardly in the newcomer's lap with a strange girl leaning against her, and Craye smiled.

"Making new friends, Tillie?"

Anu snorted, but held his tongue.

Tillie gasped and leaped away from the strangers, hiding behind Craye and Anu.

"I do not believe they will hurt you, Tillie," Anu said, gently stepping around to Craye's side so Tillie wasn't hidden from his massive form. "It is best we are not rude, and we greet our guests with respect."

Tillie, wide-eyed and shaking with fear, faced the pair of new wolves and rigidly bowed at the waist.

Anu smiled, still facing at an angle to the bar, not looking at anything in particular, and nodded. "This is Tillie, a good friend of ours. My name is Anu."

"And I am Craye, temporary Beta of the local pack here. Our Alpha still has not chosen a mate, so I hold the position by default as the most dominant female in the pack. Anu is my bodyguard tonight." Craye expected scoffing, as most Lycans usually dish out when she told them that a blind wolf was her bodyguard. She was almost hoping she could start something; she was in a bad mood tonight. But she continued before she could get a response. "I would love to stay and chat, but I have important business to attend to. If I could get your names and phone numbers, I would be happy to speak with both of you about why you are here in my territory without first consulting me. If you are seeking an interview to join the pack, I will gladly oblige. If not, you have twenty-four hours to safely leave before you will be deemed a rogue and promptly executed." She hated to sound harsh, but she was in a hurry. Phoenix had sent a young, inexperienced, submissive Lycan to a bar to discuss important matters, which meant she not only had to protect Tillie, but she had to make sure to relay any important information to Kronos. She waited patiently for contact information, though.
