Through the strengthening of nations and the technological revolution the US discovered a very small group of individuals with strange and strong abilities; they ranged from monstrous strength to intense healing powers. These original Unknowns were called The Immortals. Through many experiments and tests on The Immortals in what was called Project Genesis, the government hoped to create ‘super soldiers’ or the fountain of youth by trying to reproduce the strands by injections and creating test tube children. They had failed at first and so, in one of their few humanitarian streaks, gave the children out to adoption to normal people. Many generations later the government scientists discover that more Unknowns of great, but still lesser, power have surfaced and so they now wish to revive Project Genesis and capture the Unknowns. Now it is the present day, or a few year into the future, and we all find ourselves wandering around for what ever reason you wish in a city a night, when the underground takes control and the Unknowns are just the slightest bit more normal. Jaime Kane stood somewhere on the outskirts of a city she didn’t even know the name of, with her hands in the pockets of a brown leather jacket, and her head down. It was dark, spooky and she was sure there were even more thieves and crooks in this city than the last. A grumble later, she stepped forward into a speedy walk with the hope of finding a safe place to sleep until the sun rose again. In the morning Jaime would get up and carry on walking through the city. She did this every day, without any idea where she was going. Originally, she had planned to find a way back to England and tell her family what had happened, but after seeing how most Unknowns were treated my their own flesh and blood, she decided against it. “Rargh!!!” a scruffy-looking man jumped out from an alley in front of Jaime, she stumbled backwards, almost falling. The man just laughed happily. He was dirty and clearly hadn’t shaven in a while, wearing filthy clothes and smelling of cigarettes and cheap booze. “Ah, don’t worry, kid! I was just having a little fun,” he practically bellowed with a smile. “Name’s Murphy! Sorry I had to scare ya, only I gotta joke around or else I’d be a pretty miserable man… as you can see…” ‘Murphy’ indicated to his clothes and chuckled. Something clicked into place in Jaime’s mind and she instantly felt a lot more relaxed and maybe even a little bit safer. “Uhm… you wouldn’t happen to know where any.. Er… inns are around here, would you?” she asked. “Oh no, you don’t wanna be going anywhere like that. No, I know a much better place for people like you and me!” Jaime was unsure, she didn’t want to follow Murphy to a dingy flat or somewhere worse and then be expected to give him a ‘reward’ for his kindness, yet he didn’t strike her as that kind of person, despite his appearance... and smell. Besides, she thought, at least I wont be on my own!

Shumila cringed as the sunlight beat down on her skin from the clear sky, what small smudges of clouds offering no protection from the heat. She looked around desperately for somewhere else to go. It was far too warm to spend the day in India again. In fact, she was already roasting as it was. She needed a major cool down. But where in the world is cool right now? Somewhere where night has already fallen. Shumila thought, relishing the thought of being somewhere cooler. The scenery was already getting too boring for her, anyway. She glanced down at her watch, set in the Time Zone of Dubai. Just so she knew when to sleep and when to wake, wherever she was. She spotted an exposed grey building along the street from where she was standing, the heat visibly radiating off the building. Shumila took in a breath and jogged across to the building, slipping inside it's narrow door. She looked around the shop she had just entered, the word 'Dhai's Newsagents' having been printed on the front counter. She clicked her tongue, looking around the quiet shop. Only an old, grey haired indian woman sat behind the counter, fanning herself with a paper fan and looking very exhausted. Shumila spotted a white rack sitting in the corner of the room, to her thanks being chalk full of indian postcards flaunting pictures of hot climates on their fronts. Then she realized. Damn! All indian postcards. She wasn't really up for teleporting all over India looking for the coolest spot. ''Exuse me.'' Shumila called, approaching the old woman, her light clothing swaying around her as she moved. ''Yes?'' The woman replied, forcing a smile only for a second. ''I'm looking for pictures of somewhere foreign. America would be ideal. Or Britain, Russia..'' Shumila rattled on, trying to think of places she felt like visiting. ''No, I don't think we sell anyth-- Oh! Wait, actually. Wait just a minute, please.'' The woman said, then disappeared behind an aged white door into a small room. Only seconds later, the old woman appeared once again, a thick book in one hand. She held it out to Shumila. World Map It read. Shumila flicked through the book. It had summary pages about countries, featuring a couple of satellite images and pictures of monuments and several backstreets and markets. This is what Shumila loved about teleporting. Most pictures she teleported from were of great locations to visit, and so she always ended up at the best places in that country. ''Fantastic!'' Shumila smiled. ''I'll take it.'' ''That'll be Eighty-seven Dirhams please.'' Shumila quickly paid the woman the book and hurried out of the shop, moving into an alley between two shops. Shumila pulled the books pages apart, revealing a country. America. She flicked through that small section, until her finger stopped at a page. New York Shumila traced down an old picture of a bar just outside city centre. It shouldn't be too busy? Hopefully if it's a nice, cool night, she can go for a drink before returning to Dubai. Or maybe she could just stay the night there? She squinted her eyes at the picture. After all her years of teleporting, it only took her seconds to go through her routine. Visualizing the place around her, her body falling forward and in seconds, somewhat dropping into the desired location. In a lash of wind and darkness, all around Shumila the world spun and spun, and for a moment she was completely weightless. After that moment, in a flash of light and a lash of wind, Shumila dropped in front of the bar in New York, landing with a stumble. She looked around. Perfect. It was a chilly night.

Ruan was just coming out of the bar the day had been pretty crappy. So he had decided to drown his sorrows in alcohol. He was still reasonably sober. At least that is what he thought until suddenly a young woman teleported out of nowhere right in front of him. I must be drunk. But then he remembered the project could she be like him? ONly one way to find out "Excuse me miss...."

Neo walked down the street, keeping his eyes moving from person to person, watching each of their auras move about. He must of seemed like a fairly awkward man, not only avoiding hitting people, but making sure he wouldnt run into the auras either. As he walked to the subway, a larger than normal man walked by him with a glare. Neo ignored it as he went down to the bottom of the subway and found a seat on a bench near the phones.

It had been almost 3 years since Hope had had a drink, but today was the day she decided. She remembered the last time she had had a drink. She had one too many tht night and the next night she woke up in a padded cell with 5 needles in her arms. er whole body shivered with the memories of the pain she was put through. At the sametime each one of her studs flexed across her body and burned a little. As she pushed past a few drunks and was about to make her way to the door when a woman suddenly popped out of no where and she walked right into her. Immidiately she retracted the studs and they all melted into her body, consiquently making her a few pounds heavier. No doubt she would give the woman something of a bump to the side. Possibly even a bruise although she wasnt sure how hard she had hit her. "Im so sorry! Really sometimes I dont know my own strength!" Hope said, while looking around to make sure no one saw her retracting metal studs into her body. Nrmal human beings didnt like Unknown's. No matter how good they tried to be.

The owl was the perfect bird for night flying, Cole had perfected the transformations with most of his familiar animals, but the owl still felt a bit ungainly to him, looking around the outskirts of a new city, Cole was sure that his search for Elizabeth was nearing an end, after the disaster of four years ago, the other unknown had never kept in contact, Cole had been lucky, Elizabeth liked him. He flew on towards a few well lit streets, trying to get his bearings, flying at night was always disorentating but at the same time he had an easier time of changing back to his human form, deciding that he was better off on the ground, there were a few people around he might be able to ask for directions. Cole turned and flew a large circle, looking for somewhere to land and change, as he turned a second time he saw a subway, that will do nicely he thought. The owl flew off and made no noise as it made its way down into the subway, Cole concentrating on where would be best to land, didnt notice if anyone was actually down there already.

Elizabeth didn't feel anyone on that side of town so she headed down to the subway. It was better for her there anyway, she cut a suspicious look on the streets at night. As she headed down she retracted her feeling reach, there would be too many people in a subway and the fast moving energies would make her motion sick. She looked around and saw most of the normal low lifes hanging around, she nodded at them, they had already made the mistake of messing with her. She caught the next train and headed out. Ashanti- You weren't in the OOC. You should have requested entrance and then posted a character sheet for acceptance before posting on the IC. Do that now, though I can not promise acceptance because of the jump of protocol, if you don't I will remove you. Sorry

Shumila opened her mouth to reply to the asian man, a simple 'Yes' forming on her tongue before all of a sudden, something hit her from the side, slightly from behind, causing her to fall onto the sidewalk. Her knee's hit the concrete painfully, and Shumila gasped in pain. Her first thought was that she had been seen teleporting, as she had suspected the Asian man saw her doing so. Hopefully they were both drunks, and she'd be left unbothered. She quickly slid backwards and turned over, looking at whoever had knocked her over. A blonde haired young woman, not much younger than herself, perhaps only by a couple of years. Although she strangely dressed as if she were from decades back, her clothing mostly in dark colours and laced, although damaged. Or perhaps those holes in her clothing were there on purpose? Shumila hadn't visited the more common areas of New York before, and so she was clueless as to the fashion. "Im so sorry! Really sometimes I dont know my own strength!" She gasped, looking around somewhat anxiously. Shumila wasn't sure if she had knocked her over on purpose and was just being bitchy. Shumila rose to her feet gracefully, dusting herself off and pickily adjusting her saree. ''It's quite alright. Accidents do happen..'' Shumila said simply, taking into a long breath before turning to the Asian man. She wasn't liking all this attention she was receiving, especially when it was so negative. ''Now, is it important? Because I really must get going.'' She said sternly, ignorantly hoping that if this man had seen her teleporting, her stern attitude would deter him more than the thought of asking a woman if she had just teleported. It would be a silly question to ask to an irritated woman, especially a stranger. Hopefully he'd dismiss his question and leave.
