The owl landed lightly, taking a look around and apparently satisfied at the lack people, Cole began the transformation back to his usual self, the feathers started to retract, bones stretched and thickened, the heart grew and slowed down, wings turned to arms and the taloned feet grew into booted feet.

Cole stood still, listening out for a sign he had been seen, happy to know that his transformation had gone unnoticed by anyone, Cole stepped down onto the platform, wearing dark blue jeans and a faded greeen shirt, Cole didnt look like much, he was glad his appearance was one of the millions of other nameless, faceless individuals of the world, it made his unpleasant task a little easier.

As he walked back up the platform towards the flight of stairs he had flown down a few minutes ago, Cole caught a familiar smell, he wasnt sure at first if his senses were lieing to him, sniffing the air a couple more times Cole was sure he had smelt this scent before, it was close by so he decided to find out if it was who he hoped it would be.

Approaching the end of the platform, Cole came across two people, a young man, practically still a boy, and a familiar face, it was Liz, Cole smiled despite himself, she hadnt changed, he on the other hand probably looked worse in the four years they had last seen eachother, he thought it best to introduce himself and called out a friendly greeting to Elizabeth.

The Day Before Victory- Sir Aldren Briers

Ondine continued to run, on coming out her house she had passed a girl who you could say looked quite similar to her, with a tramp. She had called out to her, but abruptly stopped, whether it mattered or not Ondine continued to run through the streets until she reached the park she often went when she was younger. It was a couple of blocks away from home, and as she got older had always returned to this place at night. It was always quiet and peaceful. Occasionally you would get the odd drunks but they never bothered her.

She dropped to the floor when she came to her usual spot and just hugged her knees and buried her head into her knees. Tears continued to stream down her face, but no sound left her lips.

She replayed what had just happened. Her old home, her father!? So real, it looked so real, and her mum was experiencing it as well. She looked up wiped her tears, and gazed to a big tree she used to climb. A little girl was playing around the tree giggling and screaming with joy. "Isn't she out late?" The girl stopped and looked at her, so familiar. Another figured appeared at her side, before scooping her up in her arms. Her mother. Morgan rubbed her eyes but still her mum and a younger girl, who was clearly her, turned and walked away, before finally disappearing. "What's wrong with me."

Ondine curled up in a ball under the stars and fell asleep to the sounds of her sobbing and the wind in the trees, begging that these uncalled for visions would just stop. The future was painful enough, without gazing back on the past she loved.

Ruan did not like this he ran after the woman and pleaded "Come on we are all unknowns we have to stick together" Then closing in and whispering he said " And the government tries to hunt us if they find us 5 hunters have already come after me there is someone in the city who I can introduce you to and besides, do you want to be with us or do you want to just port around the world not knowing what to do while hunters try to kill you?"

Shumila spun her her heels, raising her voice.
''I'm not joining any group of yours! We have nothing in common besides genetic anomalies and I'm fine with my life as it is already! No hunters have followed me, ever before. I don't even have a reason to join your silly group. Besides--'' Shumila paused, taking a deep breath in.

''I have no hunters tracking me. You have five hunters tracking you, that know of you. The only danger I'm in is being near you. Now, for my safety, the best thing you can do is leave me alone.'' Shumila said more calmly, glancing at the other woman before backing away again.

Ruan looked down at his feet what she said was probably true it would have been nice to have a friend. "Well if you feel that way I guess-" Ruan was stopped when a bullet passed straight over his head and hit the wall behind him. He looked around to where it came from. 5 figures were coming this way. Not again. "HUNTERS! Get down" Ruan said before another round flew overhead. He pulled the 2 women behind a wall with him and peeked over he saw the 5 hunters on the street.

Jaime frowned a little, her natural curiosity made her wonder why this girl was running away so fast. “Did you see that?” she asked Murphy.

“Yeah… but what are you gonna do, eh?”

She shrugged, “I’m gonna go see what’s wrong.” Jaime was a caring person, if someone appeared to be sad, it would be her instinct to give them a hug. But halfway across the street she heard gunshots and jumped back a few steps. “What was that?”

Murphy came forward and took hold of Jaime’s arm, tugging her gently in the opposite direction. “We shouldn’t hang around here, kid. It’s not safe for people like us,” he said softly, yet with urgency. After a few seconds of hesitation, Jaime nodded and followed Murphy into another dark alley.

Ondine awoke to the sound of a gun shot. She bolted upright, and quickly glanced around looking into every corner of the park. Nothing, it was safe. Her face was still damp from the previous tears that were there. She was lonely and so confused, "I just want to know what's going on." She remembered the gun fire, and made a note that this is normally a peaceful neighbor hood, she rose to her feet, brushing her self down and tying her hair into a loose ponytail. She gazed up at the stars, took a deep breath and started to run in the direction of the gun shot. "I hope i know what i'm doing."

Shumila let out a small shriek at the sound, going along with it as she was pulled behind a building. ''I told you you should have shorted out those cameras.'' Shumila sniped, shielding her eyes with her hands as a bullet bounced off the corner of the wall, showering them with a small amount of debris.

''Come out now and nobody will be killed!'' A voice barked from around the wall, soon accompanied by the cocking of a gun. A moment later, Shumila faintly heard a whirring sound and sidestepped just in time to avoid a dart which snapped on contact with the wall.

Shumila looked around desperately for a moment, hoping to find a picture, or one of the hiding Hunters or some shelter. Her eye caught a poster across the street, not very large, she had to squint her vision to see it. It was a film poster, a film in fact that she recognized.


The pyramids looked genuine on the poster. But there wasn't time for inspection, they had to go. ''Hold on to me.'' Shumila said hurriedly, but giving the two no time as she grabbed onto the Ruan and Hope's arms, focusing on the bus stop where the poster was pinned. For a millisecond they felt weightless, and the next moment they were stood at the bus stop.

Shumila looked at the poster. She focused for a couple of seconds, and fearing Hope and Ruan would try to run to get away from the Hunters, she kept a tight grip on them. When she had memorized the picture of the three pyramids, the three vanished. Light exploded around them for a moment, just as the darts the Hunters had loaded up were fired. Around them was a movement of colours so fast that they were made into a dark blurr. They were weightless, although they felt a strange falling sensation in that nothingness that lasted only seconds.

Afterwards, in a lash of darkness and wind, the three dropped onto the sandy desert floor, the three pyramids from the poster looming over them. Just above the pyramids the morning sun hovered, although it still seemed to be a baking hot day in Egypt.

Shumila moved to step forward, suddenly vanishing before her foot touched the ground, appearing sitting on the Pyramid steps.
''At least there's no security cameras here..'' She sniped again to Ruan, resting her head against one of the Pyramid steps.

Ruan looked around at the pyramids the sun glorious. There was so much solar energy here he felt downright giddy. "Wow are we in Egypt? It is amazing" Ruan said walking around. He loved the Sun. Suddenly a drift of sand exploded in light "Sorry"

Murphy was running fast through the alleys, pulling Jaime along. He had a tight grip around her wrist. Before she knew it they were out of the alleys and in to a large park, just in time to see the same girl from earlier running out. The park was well lit, even if only by the moon. Jaime was thankful for the light, she hated darkness. Then more gunshots were heard, louder this time.

“Fuck!” Murphy yelled. “We’ve gone around in a circle!” He let go of Jaime’s arm and quickly looked around the park for any sign of hunters.

Jaime knew getting caught up in the hunters’ chase was a bad idea, still, she ran off towards the sound of gunshots anyway.

“Hey, wait! Where are you going!?” Murphy’s last few words were nothing but faint cries to Jaime, she was already on the other side of the park.
