The Wolves of the Eternal Mountain
![]() http://roleplayerguild.com/f15/the-w...23/#post661808 Mina walked through the snow-bound forest, her jaws stained with the redness of blood from her last kill, and her yellow eyes gleaming in their black surrounded sockets. Her feet dug into the snow like a snow-plow, and her nostrils were moving in and out ever so slowly. The trees that surrounded the forest all looked down at her, staring into her sadenned soul. The forest would soon lead her into the Eternal Mountain, where she would choose to rest her aching bones. |

Garrett barked. He actually barked. Like one of their dogs. But he was still so mad and he knew that the leg bone he had been savaging couldn't feel his teeth. Not really. Garrett knew that the eternal mountain provided. But not everything he needed. Just enough to keep him moving, just so he wouldn't freeze. Garrett needed a real meal soon or he would just have to accept that he didn't deserve the mountain's sustenance. He would have to earn it. He would have to.
Garrett barked again, loudly |

Rohana heard a bark from some where on the montain, she silenced herself, it sounded like a dog, and dogs meant only one thing, hunters. she pressed her nose to the ground, but couldn't smell any humans, just incase she left her newly found prey where it was, the dogs would smell that before her and hopfully get distracted, and not lead the men to her. it was odd that men would be on this mountain, they usually avoided it. she tried to hide herself behind a nearby rock, so as to see if the dogs got the rabbit and if they did, she would know wich way they were going and be able to go the opposite direction.

Mina's heart jumped when she heard barking. Her white ears sped up to the top of her head, and Mina's eyes gleamed their bright yellow. She started to make her way through the forest, leaving the trail she was originally taking. The Moutain fell back into the darkness once again, as Mina strided through the snow.

Leisha heard loud barks rumbling across the mountain. Indeed, they sounded like that of a dog's, but somehow it sounded... different. It had much more ferocity than a domestic dog would have. And, of course, the only wild dogs in this area would be wolves.
And a wolf means companionship, she told herself. Without much difficulty, she leapt towards the sound of the barking, yet still making sure she was mostly hidden by the forest, just in case. Even if the one barking was not a threat, there could be hunters just lurking around the corner. And hunters were threats. Huge threats. |

Mina changed her pace from walking to running as she struggled through the deep snow, panting hard. I have to find them. They're in trouble. She thought. But she stopped, because she could smell another. It could be another wolf, but she couldn't tell. Mina slowly made her way through the forest, following the new scent.

Leisha could sense something running quite a way behind her. Sniffing the air, she could smell the scent. Another animal. Friend, or foe? she questioned. She decided to wait for it to catch up to find out.

There it was again. The same smell on the wind, but slightly different this time. A wolf, maybe two were coming closer, moving cautiously. Garrett gave one more sniff at the leg bone and rose. He reared back on his haunches and stuck his nose high in the air. Maybe he would be able to tell more about the wolves stalking up behind him.
Moving gently across the wind was the smell of blood. Fresh rabbit. Freshly killed rabbit. Garrett jaws open just slightly to let the thin stream of saliva drip down. He was hungry and cold. Maybe someone would have a meal he could share. Hopefully he could find the rabbit before it was all gone. Or, if his nose was correct, that storm came and broke against the mountain. |

Mina could smell a fresh scent, and she kept running. Her paws barely touched the snow bound land, and they were moving very fast. She couldn't stop, nothing could stop her from finding the curious smell.
Mina finally reached the source of the smell, but realised it was another wolf. She growled at his presence. |
