Vance was excited. The trip had only taken a few hours and he couldn't wait to experience the low gravity of the moon.
Every kid's dream is only a few seconds away. He thought to himself, and he did feel like a kid. He was the first to the door, it seamed like he was the only one excited to be on the moon. Gah, I hope there are some more lively people here, I can't stand these deadbeats any longer! He complained to himself. Just then, the doors opened. He caught his first glance at the colony. It was bigger then he thought it was. ha, I guess the whole 'chrome color' is a myth after all he mused to himself. Everything was bright with color, he couldn't find a single shade of gray or black. That's going to take some getting use to He looked out the window of the building. He saw a group of people coming towards the colony. "Moon people" he gasped. "Yeah kid, but I wouldn't make contact if I were you, they haven't been that friendly to us." some stranger that was passing by said. "Umm, thanks for the advice, I guess." Vance replied. What's the point of coming here if I can't met the natives, I'm sure I'll get to meet them some day. |

Harper laughed at the man crying "Moon people!" She looked inside quickly, just a glance and blushed when she saw him staring straight in her direction.
"HARPER!" She heard a distant scream and she glared at the man it was coming from. The prince. She was to wed this man in a few years, but she truly hated him. He loved her, but she wanted something different. She wanted to love. She screamed when she felt herself being lifted onto the craft. "So, lookie here, its a moon wench!" One of the burly earth men said, yelling into her ear. She struggled against their weight, knowing that she could rip them to shreds. She wanted to stay, though. |

Vance watched as a moon girl was lifted up by some of the humans.
Of course they won't like us if they are treated like that he thought to himself. He decided he would try and help her, he might have just arrived, but he didn't like seeing people mistreated. He found a map of the building and found the port the ship would most likely enter. He ran in that direction. "Hey! Put her down, I don't care what your excuse is, you don't need to be treating people like that." He yelled as the men came in through the opening. "Who do you think you are fresh meat?" One of the men said as they threw the girl to the ground. "I think I'm the person that isn't going to let you treat someone that way." Vance walked over to the girl laying on the ground and positioned himself between her and the men. "Are you OK miss?" He asked in a gentle tone. |

Harper smiled as she was thrown to the ground.
"I am fine, but you aren't." She murmured, standing up and dusting off her clothing. She looked out towards the field where the Prince, her father, and some of the other warriors were arriving quickly. "If you come with me, I assure your safety. Do what I do and everyone will be safe," She whispered, leaning closer. She walked out towards the large group of men riding their large space brutes. "Hello, Father, meet the new earth-men." She said, glaring at the prince. "Oh, Harper, I was so worried, do not EVER leave my side again!" The prince cried, sliding off the brute and scooping her into his arms. She gagged and faked to put her finger down her throat to the space man who helped her. "Prince Carmen! Put me down this instant or I will tear you apart one by one." Her voice was cold and hating towards the man. "My... Handsome prince, please welcome these humans." |

Vance followed behind the girl. He wasn't sure why, he had just met her, and the words of the stranger "Stay away from them" echoed in his mind. But he followed anyways. He watched as one of the two men picked her up. "Oh, Harper, I was so worried." He heard him say.
So, her name is Harper, that is a pretty name. He then had to stifle his laugh when she made the gagging gesture. "My...handsome prince..." Then his face went white. Prince, that must mean she is, holy purple cheese monkeys, she's a princes. He wasn't sure if he should talk or stay quite, he wasn't sure if the royal customs were the same on the moon as they were on earth. He figured it would be best to remain quite until he was spoken to. |

Harper faked to choke herself when Carmen planted a kiss on her cheek, looking at the earth man. Help, she mouthed, laughing lightly.
"Carmen! Show some restraint!" She said, grasping his shoulders and pushing him away. "Father, this is Vance." She mumbled, pointing to the man. "Welcome to the moon, Vance." The king said, laughing warmly and lovingly "Welcome, Vance." The prince mumbled, holding Harper close. She coughed. "Carmen I swear to god, If you do not get off me right now I will have you put in the chambers!" She whispered into his ear, gently so her father would not hear. Come on, Vance, say something, she said through her mind to his. She smiled warmly, pulling him a little bit closer. |
|

|
"Father, this is Vance." He heard Harper say
How did she know my name. He wondered Oh well, it's not that important. After the king welcomed him, he felt a little more comfortable. I hope that he is a king, otherwise I'm going to look really stupid. Vance bowed his head. "Thank you your highness." He straightened himself back up. I hope that was the proper way to introduce myself. "Sorry if I'm a little blunt, I only arrived a few minutes ago. I saw some men grab your daughter, now I'm here. I have no idea what is going on. And, what, I mean, who, erm, what is," Vance was stumbling over his words, he was trying not to sound rude, but he didn't know how to go about asking the question. "Sorry, I'm not trying to be rude, but, what are you? I didn't get that much help at the colony." |

Harper laughed at the earth man, Vance.
"Your doing great," she whispered into his ear. Harper, do not get too friendly with the earth mongrel she heard the prince say to her. She smacked his stomach, laughing when he doubled over. "Well, Vance, we are people... Of the moon!" She laughed at the memory of so many humans being afraid of her race. "You cannot tell, but we have enhanced hearing, vision, strength, and intellectual abilities," she grinned at the man. "We also have arts... How do you humans say it? Magic?" She closed her eyes and shuddered when the prince wrapped an arm around her waist. "This is Prince Carmen, my.... Fiancee..." She said, shuddering again at the thought. Three years and you shall be my queen! his voice whispered into her ear, overjoyed. |

|
"Sweet. That is really cool." Vance blurted out. He then blushed, he felt kind of stupid for acting like a little kid.
"What kind of 'arts' do y'all have? I mean, can you hear thoughts or move objects? Shoot fire out of your hands?" Vance was excited. Actual magic! Who would have thought. This is way better then the deadbeats on the ship. He let out a small chuckle at this thought. |
