" I think it's about lunch time already. " Izumi clapped her hands. She went to one of her large bags, and by large it literally means large, and brought it to the kitchen. Inside the bag were small and big Tupperware containers that were filled with chopped vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, and strapped to the sides were condiments and seasonings. " I guess I should start cooking before they all start eating each other. "
The maid turned cleaned the pots and pans available to the kitchen and placed each of them on the stove. She went to the fridge and placed the fruits and a several unlabeled cans. She then took out the vegetables, the meat ( she brought lamb and beef knowing those Vatican dudes would prefer something not porky. ), and the fish. All the ingredients were on the counter and so were the seasonings. As she cooked, she could hear everyone outside the kitchen talking about the room assignments. Izumi finished cooking in no time and placed the plates on the table. She then took the fruits and the cans out of the fridge and fixed dessert before putting it back into the fridge. She cleaned up the counter and went to the living room. " I've finished making lunch everyone. Please head to the kitchen. " She looked at the table with pride in her cooking. A mixed vegetable and beef stir-fry, sweet and sour fish with pine-apples, a plain vegetable salad, and to her own surprise, rice. Izumi laughed a bit at her little mistake. She knew most of the people around her hardly ate rice with their food. The maid then placed the rice on the cooking counter, added salt into the rice and started molding the rice. She then went to her bag and unzipped a compartment behind it. Inside was a pack of Nori. She then made some rice balls and placed them on a plate before putting it back on the dining table. " There. "

So, we're in the Carribean. But...Just where in the Carribean are we? Croix thought, sniffing the air. I don't smell any smog...No one's died yet, and I didn't spot any prostitutes at the beach...We're not in Jamaica, then. It was too easy to get in, so we can't be in Cuba...Ah, what the hell. Islands are islands.
With that, Croix sat down at the table along with all the others who wanted to eat. His face lit up with delight as he saw the oriental cooking in front of him, and he dug into it, savoring every bite. The beef had a delicious, savory taste that mixed well the the vegetables in the stir fry, and the fish had a distinct taste mix. "That's delicious, ma'am!" Croix called out to Izumi, with a deep thumbs up and wink. Then, wiping his mouth with a napkin, he asked her, "You've been around here a lot, right? I mean, you just came from vacation, right? Does that mean you'd happen to know about our targets here?"

Seth's eyes widened dramatically as he opened the door, to see a significantly less hospitalised Noelle standing there.
"Noelle, what the... Hospital... Transfer... Injured... Carribean..." He continued to ramble on like that for a few seconds before coming to his senses. "Hey, I see they discharged you from hospital without much complaint. How the hell did you know we'd come here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow curiously. At that exact moment, he heard Izumi say that lunch was ready from down the corridor. Strange that. He had a suspicious talent for hearing anything concerning food from a long distance. "Well, looks like you arrived just on time. I'll talk with you after lunch. Best head over to the kitchen." Thinking back, he hadn't eaten anything on the plane. Plane food was pretty much vomit with salt sprinkled on. And some free orange juice. Heading over to where the food was being served, Seth sat down and filled a small plate and started to eat happily. "Seriously, you should run a restaurant or something. It'd probably pay better than this job" He said jokingly and continued eating his meal. "When do we actually get to work anyway? Not that I'm looking forward to it over hanging around here relaxing, just wondering about it."

Nicky almost raised a hand in objection when he heard Marv partnering with Kundiman. The well dressed gentleman was after all new and much was unknown of him. Nicky could only see him as competition from what he knew of him. Marv was smart, handsome, and polished. Smiles and giggles from the ladies ... and the men only confirmed this observation.
Whether Marv liked Kundiman or not was an entirely different matter altogether. Both he and Kundi were handsome and witty so Nicky couldn't see any reason why Marv wouldn't pursue her. Their coupling could foster mutual interest by the time the mission ended as well. In short Nicky felt somehow threatened. So he was there now seated with the group and noticed that the secretary was nowhere to be seen. Later he would take a walk and chit chat with Marv about the details of the mission. |

Noelle grinned at Seth as he just rambled for a few moments, "I forced the doctor to discharge me, I couldn't take his excuses to use his stethoscope, I also managed to track you guys down, wasn't gonna stay home while you were in the Carribean now was I?" she said jokingly as she heard the call for lunch.
She made her way down with Seth, "so I'm guessing that there is something you wanna talk about," she said as she grabbed a plate and put some food onto it. She refused to eat the plane food, made her ill so she opted to wait and it was obvious as her stomach growled. "And what is going on here? I know that there is something going on." |

Ri was busy dreaming up food when the sudden sound from her notebook woke her. Groggily moving herself to the desk upon which she'd set her laptop, she pulled out her notebook from the bag and dragged herself once more --notebook in hand, towards the bed. She'd "forgotten" to turn off her notebook on the plane. Putting it in hibernation was good enough for her. The only reason it was in it's bag was because she'd seen Izumi do her thing with their new secretary and his laptop.
Yawning, she opened the monitor and flipped the screen over making it flat once more. Her eyes widened when she saw the notice. You have 1 new message(s). Clicking it open immediately, a picture came into view. It was a picture of her at the hotel's lobby as she waited for everyone to finish registering themselves into the hotel's records. She was smiling in the picture because her father had finally messaged her an "I'm fine and doing okay at X-country" when she checked her mail through her cellphone. Beneath the picture was the message: I'm glad you're doing okay. Enjoy your trip. -J Keeping back her emotions, Ri sighed away her troubles. A reply was going to be impossible. As soon as she'd opened the message her computer had been set to track the IP address. Ri knew the search would turn up a dead end. Filing the message away, she debated whether or not to notify her father about it. The pros weren't much so she decided not too. "...lunch!" Ri's head snapped up. Food. And with an embarrassing cue, her stomach rumbled in anticipation. Ri knew (as well as her stomach) that Izumi's food wasn't just food. It was a cuisine sent from the heaven. And exactly what she needed to keep her problems at bay. Maybe they could all go swimming later on. The glimpses she'd caught from the plane (when she wasn't keeping her food down) were spectacular to behold. Putting away her notebook after locking it up (system-wise not with a real padlock however tiny ^^; ), she set off to find sustenance, not seeing the fact that her travel bag for her swimsuits was decidedly less than when she'd come through her door. |

Kundiman stared open mouthed at Marv as he happily marched into her room after calling her short. She blinked, unable to compherehend how a man, any man could actually refuse her. She looked down at herself knowing she was beautiful and enticing, considering she was also, only wearing the swim suit, she should have been downright irrisistable.
Was the man married? Or gay? Or both? She didn't really know anything about that man. She would have usually had one if the big boss didn't call her and told her the man was trustworthy. She snorted, beautifully of course. The big boss also told her she was allowed to go on an all expense paid vacation with a huge house where she can do all that she wanted. She should have known better than to believe every single thing the man said. Look at where she was now, sharing a room with a potentially gay married man. There was of course, only one way to find out. She wouldn't sleep with him and be miffed because he rejected her, assuming that would happen, because really, who would reject her. She would just ask one of her boys to seduce the man. Maybe Croix would do it. Or Nick. Seth wouldn't agree considering he seemed to have a thing for their missing pathologist... he'd been rather cranky about not knowing where she was transferred to. She would have been cranky too if the boss didn't reassure her. If the boss gave her her paycheck, it means the agents were safe. She turned to ask Izumi about who would most likely seduce Marv but found her absent. The lovely scent wafting in from the kitchen told her where the woman was and what she was doing. She heard Croix's exclamation and was happy that he was somewhere convinient. She would have, again, turned into that direction but the doorbell rang and an exclamation from Seth brought her to notice Noelle standing in the door she would have greeted if it weren't for the well dressed couple standing behind her. She put on her public relations smile, already recognizing them as clients. "Good afternoon, are you the new clients?" she walked towards them, politely ushering them towards the living room. The woman encased her fit form inside a peach colored suit and matching stilhettos from another particular shoe brand she liked. The woman's, styled and blonde hair was tied knotted at the nape. She had gray eyes, which Kundiman saw after she took off her shades. It revealed subtle but tasteful make up. She also wore pearls on both ears and a rope of them around her neck. She was classically beautiful. Something that could be achieved after numerous trips to the gym and secret trips to the doctor. The man followed closely behind her, his hand at the small of her back. He wore a white polo, cream colored slacks, matching shoes and the Carribean accessory, the hat. He also had a very expensive watch on an arm. He had chocolate brown eyes and distinguishing crinkles at the orner of them. He was every bit as beautiful as his wife and obviously, equally not afraid of the knife. Kundiman, of course sized them all up in seconds. She also caught the man looking at her breasts then her legs. She played up to it, knowing they were rich and knowing immediately that there was more to them than it seemed. "I'm here with my boyfriend who is the leader of this really cool security agency. I'm so happy he let me come, this is a great place is it not? The view is just breathtaking." she grinned at the man. "Oh I'm sorry, I'm Kundiman, my boyfriend is coming in in a while, do you need anything while you're waiting?" The woman obviously gritted her teeth. "Our yacht is leaving in an hour. We will have several important guests in it. We need your boyfriend here and now." she placed a hand on the man's thigh. Staking territory. Please, he is not my type. "Oh sorry, I don't think he knew you'd need him this early." she stood up, knowing the man watched her every move, the bastard. Although how can he help it? He was a straight man thinking as normal men did. Unlike certain secretaries. "Honey!" she called sweetly then she faced them. "What are your names again?" "I am Reginald Morgan and this is my wife Donna," the man prompted, annoying the woman more. "There are Morgans looking for you here! Marvin!" she cried louder. Nick walked out of his room even before Marvin could walk out of her room. Nick was wearing swimming trunks that she would have appreciated if he didn't come forward to introduce himnself to the others as the boss. He looked at her. "Go tell the others to get ready darling we're leaving in a while." he kissed her head and patted her butt patronizingly as he sat down and talked to the clients. Kundiman stalked obidiently out the living room, annoyed all the way. She didn't want to hang out with Nick at all. The last time they were near a body of water bigger than a freakin bathtub he had ended up trying to drown her. The ass. What made him think she wanted to be anywhere near him now? She entered the kitchen and found them all gathered there. She ignored the warmth that Nick's hand caused when he patted her butt. "The dumb secretary thing should make them careless around me." she told the group. "This couple are not to be trusted. They're keeping something. Usually people of their kind wouldn't bother with us at all. She snatched the mission folder off the table and skimmed through it. "Ya'll have read this? Noelle, I'm glad you're back, let's celebrate later bnut you and Seth and Marv go sneak in somewhere to look at the body. Find out what bit it. And Croix, my love, how fast can you acquire weapons for mermaids assuming they are mermaids? Ri and Sara, you follow on another yacht whatever the agency has and follow us with Noelle and Seth who will not meet any accidents please, into the ocean. The rest let's all get into that yacht and make sure the client doesn't die. Any questions?"

Noelle was only there for like five minutes and already she had to go look at a body, "right, Seth, Marv, let's get going shall we? The quicker we can get a look at this body, the quicker we can celebrate us lot finally being a group again, after we almost got killed the last time," she said with a grin as she grabbed Seth who looked rather unamused that he had to stop eating his lunch.

Sitting in the shade of a tree near the group, Stark regained his look of complete control over everything around him. His eyes returned to being hard, unreadable, and stern. His hammer strapped to his back, still in full armor, sweat was dripping from his brow, but thanks to large amounts of water and lime juice, he managed to keep himself from being dehydrated as well as healthy. He watched the spectacle with Kundiman, despite being amused, he showed little emotion showing on his face, except for a slight smirk. She certainly thought herself beautiful and completely irresistible, but he knew that there were many things that kept some men from her and others like her. Some had a higher purpose, others had duty, some had vengeance, others were not interested in women, and some were only interested in her for food.... daemons.... Heretics.
Turning his gaze from them he gazed out into the ocean. He was not surprised when the Vatican sent him a new set of orders, but that the orders involved working with this group of people further was a surprise. Stark believed that this group was having an bad effect on the young squire. To say that he was afraid of this change would be incorrect, fear was not something he had felt for several years, killing daemons for all those years drove such a feeling from him. But he did believe that the squire needed to keep his vigilance against the seven sins and to keep to the Codes of the Holy Inquisition. Especially the no Alcohol and women part. Such things drove men to abandon their noble traits and fall under daemonic influence. Only through great faith and stern vigilance will we defeat our enemies. A moment of laxity spawns a lifetime of heresy. What he did not expect was that he would receive a message from his superiors in his division of the Inquisition. There was a relic of a past time hidden somewhere near here. Thanks to this he had more of a reason than he needed to watch over the squire, whom he ordered to keep his vigilance, and meditate on the meaning of the phrases An open mind is like a fortress with the gates unbarred and unguarded and Divine Inspiration. During his squire's meditation, he had taken the liberty to Inquisitorially Acquire some books that might help him find out what he was looking for. Despite having several books, and remaining in full plate, nobody seemed to have interest in finding out how any of his things worked, he was sure someone was going to steal his stuff and try to figure it out, but it never happened. He supposed that they probably thought he was researching on the daemon, that the Inquisition had sent him something about it, but as usual the Inquisition sent him nothing, just news of a daemon and relics. He picked up a book from the pile the he had, Laeva Fati (The Left Hand of Fate). This was a book of legends regarding the relic that was supposed to be here, titled after the mysterious relic. After reading a bit, he paused, picked up another book read quickly, paused again, and threw a book at his squire. "Enough of that for now. Now you need to help me find this relic, The Left Hand of Fate as it is known. But you might know it as something else. The Left Hand of Midas. Begin your research now, whatever tidbit of information that we can find the better, and don't let Kundiman know of this. The less they know of this the better." He eyed Kundiman, and followed her gaze to the newcomer. Less interested he moved his eyes back to Kundiman for a second, avoided her gaze when she noticed his passing eyes, and returned to his book. But he listened in on the conversation. |
