Alicia walked out of the airport. The plane ride had been horrible. Sitting next to a man who snored loudly was not on Alicia's fun list. She smiled though, when she remembered how she woke him up. Just before she got off the plane, she had taken the oxygen mask, and snapped it over his face. 'Too bad I didn't wait to see his reaction....' She thought, and then sighed. None of this would have happened if she hadn't been late. She had forgotten to set her alarm clock the night before, and the rest of the agency left on the scheduled plane flight. 'That trip would've been easier if I had just woken up on time....' She sighed again, and called a cab.
Luckily she knew where the cabin was. She stared out the window as the scenery flew by. 'It's nice here.... Kind of like a vacation in a mission. Hopefully we'll have time to relax.' She thought. Then that made her think about the mission. 'Hmmm... What was it again? It was about some kinda fish....' She thought for a minute, trying to remember what creature they were facing. "Ah! Mermaids...." She said out loud. 'Oops,' she thought, as she glanced at the cab driver. He gave her a strange look through the rearview mirror. She just flashed him a lazy smile in return. She turned back to the window. 'Mermaids, huh.....' She smiled slightly. 'I wonder if I would have the chance to give them something....' She opened her small backpack that she always carried with her. She pulled out a small vial with a clear liquid in it. 'Like this. It didn't work on the last person I tried, but maybe on a mermaid....' She quickly brushed that thought away. There was no way she would be able to get a mermaid to drink some random medicine. She sighed as she put the vial back in her bag. She looked at the window again, to see that she had arrived. She paid the cab driver, and took her bags out of the cab. As she walked up to the cabin, she saw a car leave. 'Ah.... Hope I wasn't supposed to go with them....' She thought, as she watched them drive away. She then walked up to the door, and knocked before she let herself in. 'I don't think anyone will mind...' She thought, as she peeked around the door. No one seemed to be in the entrance way, so she just walked in and shut the door. She heard a couple people talking, but it seemed like it came from different rooms. She followed the voices, and saw Kundiman with two other people. 'Probably the clients....' She thought, and then retreated back to the entrance way. She didn't want to interrupt them while they were talking, so Alicia decided to just put her stuff in the corner of the hallway. She looked around, but didn't really see anyone else. She tried to think of what to do. That was when she remembered theh phone call she had gotten earlier. She had been contacted by the agency a little while ago. Not only had she been told where the cabin was during this call, but also what the plans were for everyone. 'Let's see... I am supposed to go..... umm....' She scratched her head, trying to remember where she should go. 'Well, during this time, for this case, a doctor should go.... To the morgue!' She brightened up as she remembered what she needed to do, but then realized that it wouldn't be very fun. 'Hmmm... Morgue....' She thought, as she went back outside. 'One other thing that isn't on my fun list....' She thought. She looked down the road. 'I guess I was supposed to go in the car....' She thought, as she thought about the car that left earlier. But then she spotted the cab. The driver had parked down the street to take break. He was leaning against the car smoking, and didn't seem too happy when Alicia came up to him. He looked even less thrilled when Alicia told him her destination. She just gave him a smile and asked, "Could you drive me to the morgue?" She sighed as they started driving. 'Hope I'm not too far behind those guys... I don't want to have to sneak up on them or anything.... Well, at least I hope the door will be unlocked if they are a head of me.' She thought, and waited until she got to the morgue.

Captain Lucien Hawker, Commanding Officer of Operational Sub-Section Beta, was feeling the afternoon heat now from his vantage point on the beach. Sand, why was it always sand? His usual outer attire of a heavy leather trench coat had long since been discarded of and, now that the shadow of the nearest yacht had finally moved, the full force of the sun’s energy was making the skin on his nape and forearms tingle slightly.
He knew he was hardly inconspicuous; the short-sleeved black shirt and only slightly worn down trousers below contrasted the white sands drastically. The look was hardly helped by the bulge of a pistol holster on his right hand side, nor the three prominent silver pips that adorned each of his shoulders, catching the light with every move and reflecting it violently in all directions. Other than the obvious, though, there was little to say about the young blond-haired man; a face that someone walking by in the streets would forget a second later, or one that many criminals had remembered for the rest of their lives. The brief - several days earlier - had been just that: brief; the Captain had no idea who he was looking for, nor, for that matter, whether it was a ‘who’ and not a ‘what’. He sighed and reached for a notebook strapped to the same belt as his holster, it carried all the information of the various activities on the beach of which, until just a few hours earlier, there had been very little. They had noticed him, he was almost sure of that, and the mutual sense of observation was one that the Captain did not intend to be the first to break. He took a breath, patting his pocket at the same time to check on the reassuring weight of its contents; along with the equally pacifying weapon, this should be all he ever needed in the field. The newest group were of significant interest, Lucien had not been close enough to distinguish any conversation but even from this distance, he could see the relationships between the members, the way they interacted and moved, was nothing short of efficient and professional. It was like watching his own team and that was a scary thought. By now, he had given them all jobs or names too- that had been easy, especially after watching the car and passengers head its way down a road that led in only one major direction. As he sighed again, the officer rolled over onto his back, digging himself slightly into the sand as he did so. With a slightly casual flair, he slid a pair of dark glasses across his eyes and prepared to wait; it was only a matter of time before this group –probably armed to the teeth- decided to confront his presence. |

Noelle smiled at Marv before turning back to Seth, "I thought that, but while I was there, I researched into new methods of repairing nerve cells, turns out it is possible, just takes a little while," she replied, "I'm just glad to be walking again, that damn doctor was checking me out everytime I wanted to get changed. Mentally undressing me."
She cursed lightly at the memory before she looked out of the window at their surroundings, "so are you two going to stay in the car instead of coming in to give me a hand, I still have slight balance problems," she said after a moment. She looked at Seth, smiling to herself, she had to admit, she was sorta sweet on him, she just wished it was the same with him. She made a mental note to bring it up when they got back to the hotel. |

Izumi poked her head into the kitchen as Croix left the room. She looked at the rest of the diner's and gave them a polite smile. " Just leave the plates on the table. I'll clean them after I'm done preparing. "
She headed up to her assigned room and opened her luggage. The maid then took off her dress and got inside the bath room for a quick shower. After having a short refreshing bath, she cleaned the mirror inside her the bath room before taking out a long stretch of bandages. The woman started wrapping the bandages on her chest, which flattened her breast too a point that someone might think she was a male. Izumi got out of the bathroom and took out her clothes, which consisted of a snazzy bodyguard outfit that even Marv would envy. It was a black suit with a white polo undershirt inside and matching pants. She shined the leather shoes that came along with the attire and placed them near her bed while she wore the polo shirt. A pair of sunglasses laid on the table beside the bed. A few minutes later. A young man with black hair, tied to " his " back with a rubber band, came out of Izumi's room. " He " headed down to the kitchen and no one seemed to notice. The diner's looked at this new fellow with eye brows raised. " Hey. My name is Masa. " "he" smiled. " I'm Izumi's younger brother. " Izumi waited for everyone's reactions.

Marv sighed in the back seat, his legs curled up to make room for the long legged driver. Hell, they just didn’t make cars big enough for guys like him.
Sliding his glasses back on to prevent the sun from glaring into his eyes, Marv shrugged nonchalantly. "It’s okay," meaning the formaldehyde, "I should go in and take notes anyway." He wasn’t happy about it, but neither was he willing to spend his time sitting in the hot car pretending to be of use. He had been a baby about it and Marv could accept that, at least. Rattling his lock pick accessory, Marv gave a cheeky grin in response to Seth’s query then remained silent during their drive to the morgue. It was, as had been said, not very far from where their cottage was. How convenient. Then again, much of what had happened was the essence of convenience. After Noelle got out, Marv worked at extending his long legs from the miniature death bubble of doom (he’d had to do something with his overactive mind during the drive) which seemed to take longer than it should have, considering how short of a drive it had been. Then again, it was a very small car and the way through the front door between the front seat and the door frame was also small. For a moment, he felt like a raccoon with its hand in a coffee can trap, or worse, a dog with its head through chicken wire, shoulders simply too wide to fit. After some wriggling, the tall man stood immaculate and cool, despite the heat and his black clothing. "Back door," he stated while staring at the offensive thing. What was it with these people? They were in the dark ages. Any other door would have at least had a lock on it that took more than a hair pin. Just went to show you how different things were here in the Caribbean. Here, no one cared if dead bodies were stolen away. Good idea for fish bait maybe. Marv wasn’t all that comfortable going down that particular trail of thought so he quickly derailed the train and focused on getting them inside the air conditioned building. It, thankfully, did not smell like formaldehyde at all, but rather, more like a hospital - bleach and paper and bureaucracy. They followed the placards on the walls that pointed the way, each one brown with white lettering and a nice long arrow to state the corners to take, until they came before a set of double doors. Marv peered through the window on one of the doors, took great glee in noting that it was silent within, and tested the door before allowing Seth and Noelle to go inside while he looked for a secretarial system of cataloguing. They had to have one for this many dead bodies. Only there really weren’t that many. It was a small island and there was a cooler with only six slots. Marv, unable to find the paperwork along the narrow counter that he’d assumed would have held information beyond a sign-in sheet and some scribbled on note paper (what did these people do when they were audited?), entered some moments later to find Seth and Noelle standing over a body that had been through the wrong end of a meat grinder. Marv went pale and reached for the wall.

Kundiman narrowed her eyes at her team mates. They all went about doing as they pleased as if they had all the time in the world. At least Marvin, Seth and Noelle were already on the move somewhere. And Croix and his cute butt had called a buddy to collect whatever weapons were necessary. Sara and Ri were somewhere upstairs, trying on the swim suits she gave them. She knew they'd look hot in them despite their would be objections. What did they know? They always wore boring one peice swim suits that obscured the figures they had. At least now she was sure they all wore the proper thing. She made sure of that.
She looked around for her knight- she loved saying that- and her even cuter squire. She'd love to have at least one of them wear a pair of swimming trunks. She bought both of them a pair of red ones with a bold gold cross across the front. She doubted if any one of them would wear it alone in public but at least she knew one of them would wear it in secret. She smiled, that way when she looked at Sir Brightglory in his huge armor she can smile and say he was wearing a red undie. Her smile turned into a grin when she thought of the squire Antony. She can't wait to get him to wear it. She stood up again, intending to haras them into going already. They were all well fed, thanks to Izumi, what else are they waiting for? They needed to kill Ariel. Goodness, why can't the mermaids stay sweet, gentle and under the sea? Why are they all suddenly bitter and flesh eating? And why are these the only documented files? That made her frown. Perhaps these were not the only documented files, depending on how the body looked, perhaps they've been attributed to shark attacks or something to that effect. Maybe all those sweet sharkies have only been wrongfully accused? She would have ordered a search done if she didn't look up and see someone who looked like Izumi. "Kinky." Kundiman said, blinking once, twice, thrice. "No wonder Croix likes you." She smiled at Izumi. "You look hot, not as hot as me but hot nonetheless, plus those pants make your butt look absolutely adorable!" she air kissed Izumi and went past her to look for her knight in literally shining armor and his squire. ______________________________________________ Donna looked at Nick and frowned at him. He looked fairly capable but looking and being capable are two different things. They were different enough to mean life and death for all of them. The important guests on the yacht are people that few governments could touch, if at all. They were all rich, infamous and powerful. They made so much money that there was only one thing they created as much, enemies. Those people made money by eating up other small companies, cheating on each other and bailing out of as much tax as possible. That's how most underground societies work and that was what was on play here. If a hair on one balding kingpin was hired, it was not only the Morgan couple who would suffer, they'd include the agency and their families. It was imperative evryone remain safe and happy. She stood as her husband and Nick shook hands. She kept her arms by her side. Nick turned to her. "You better get your team ready and in that yacht in twenty minutes. We're leaving in less than an hour. You will receive generous bonuses if you keep all of the guests alive until tomorrow." She nodded, rather much like a queen and turned on back on him. She looked back again. "And twenty minutes mean you start moving now." She stalked off into the door and as she and Reginald stepped out of the cabin, cut her eyes at her husband. "If I catch you looking at those women again I will push her into the water tonight. I don't care what will happen."

Nicky's head throbbed. After parting with Seth and Noelle he came back to the Morgans to get more information. Eventually he got to thinking that he made a mistake. Donna kept on rambling about anything and everything that it was hard to focus on the task at hand.
At one point he messed up and thought it was her poor dog that drowned in the seas. He leaned over and crooked his index finger but she still kept yapping about Poochie. After a minute or so he got a word in and found out that it was her servant that drowned last week. He got caught in a mermaid attack and didn't survive the night. Despite all her yammering, he still couldn't figure out the transformation from the Disney Ariels to hell bent nutcases. He met a few mermaids off the coast of Japan a few years back and oggling and harrassment besides - they hardly posed a threat. It just didn't make sense. The only explanation would be if ... Donna began her monologue again just when she caught Reginald staring at Kundi. Nicky wondered if she'd ever run out of things to say but if what he suspected of her was true, then she'd have forever - the true nightmare. After the conversation, the Morgans went inside. Nicky waved and smiled back at Donna as she glanced back. He turned casually to Kundiman. "Maria," he spoke softly and gently placed a finger on her lips before she could speak. "Shh ... I can't be sure at the moment but these people..." his soft tones were interrupted by Kundiman's outburst. "What do you!!..." but before she could finish, Nicky slid his arm around her shoulders, raised a hand in front of her face, and started whispering in her ear. "Listen to me. Mermaids are affectionate creatures. They don't kill unless they're killed or maimed. They respond in kind - I know. But mermaid flesh also fetches a price in the market. Ya get my drift?" |

Seth was almost sick as he pulled back the covering on the body. Out of all the examinations he'd had to do, this was probably one of the worst. Peering at the corpse curiously, he put some gloves on quickly and got to work.
Seeing the wounds, he made a realisation. Most of the killings he'd dealt with had been done proffesionally. Quick and efficient. Vampires, the manananggal case, even werewolves. This one was just brutal. As if whatever killed it had resorted to it's base instincts. Either that or something had really, really, really angered it. And having read files on mermaids, he could've been sure they only attacked if they were attacked first. 'I... think we have a problem.' He pulled out his cellphone quickly and tapped Kundi's number in. 'By the way Marv, stand outside and make sure nobody's coming, we don't want you being sick.' He heard the phone answer. 'It's Seth. I think we have a poacher problem. A serious one.' He said quietly, brushing a strand of hair out of his face.

The maid had checked the corners of the yacht to see if there were any holes in their security and to memorize the outline of the ship. After years of hunting anything posing a paranormal threat in her past and working as a maid in the Agency, she was quick enough to remember the passage ways of the area. Izumi then headed upstairs and looked for Kundiman and Nick. The two were in the front of the ship along with all the guests.
" I've checked the areas around the ship. So far, there won't be any leaks what so ever unless the mermaids used power tools. " Izumi fixed her suit. She was still in the male outfit due to her insecurities of being looked at. The girl reached into her pocket and took out a piece of brown paper she picked up in the ship. " Here. I thought I could help a little by making a quick sketch of the killer mermaid judging from the descriptions that were given. " ![]() The word " mermaid ' didn't fit on the paper so Izumi shortened it to mermi. Kundi and Nick looked at Izumi and smiled. The maid stared at them and coughed. " And there's one thing that's bothering me... I don't know if you've experienced this on a mission but... one time, back in my hunter days, some rich gentleman from Salem hired me to hunt down a plant creature. This thing was supposed have been corrupted by some cursed relic that dated back during the witch burning days. It turned out to be a wild goose chase around town since the target was right under my nose. The bastard was waiting for the right moment to feed me to the plant. So I pushed him in first and killed the plant afterwards. " She crossed her arms and looked to her side. " What I meant to say is, what if they're trying to use us as a lure to attract the killer mermaids so they can " harvest " them? "
