While the Inquisitor, his squire and Ballog were all busy fighting the grotesque, floating monster, Sara leapt from the van and raced toward Noelle and Seth, med-kit in one hand, a hydraulic nail gun she’d fished out of the glove box in the other, safety disengaged. As she approached her two wounded team mates, she couldn’t help but whimper when she saw all the blood pooled around them. They needed medical attention, and fast, so it was typical of the Agency’s luck that they were the only two medics on the team. Sara had basic training, as they all did, but this was serious.
Straight away she could tell Seth was unconscious and had the worst of the injuries of the pair, but that didn’t mean Noelle had suffered mere scratches. From the fluttering of her eyelids, Sara could see that Noelle was awake and aware of what was going on, but was she coherent? She checked Seth’s pulse, feeling a weak beat beneath her fingers. She ran a hand through her hair; she didn’t know what to do. She was a mechanic, not a medic, machines she could bring back from the dead, but people… She turned her attention to Noelle, the only person she could think of who could help. She placed a hand on the other woman’s cheek, trying to get her attention. ‘Noelle? Are you with me? Come on Kiwi, it’s Sara, you gotta open your eyes for me, honey.’ Panicking slightly, Sara rummaged around in the med-kit, emerging with a small needle containing a clear liquid. Adrenalin. She rolled up Noelle’s sleave and injected the drug into the crook of the girl’s arm, tossing the needle aside as Stark went flying into a wall near-by. Sara hoped he was okay, because there was no way she was leaving her team mates to check on him. Suddenly, Noelle grabbed her leg, making the mechanic noticeably jump. ‘S-Sara?’ she asked, her fingers were digging painfully into Sara’s thigh, but she didn’t try to loosen the grip. ‘Seth…’ ‘He’s dying, Noelle. You have to help me save him, but first I need to help you. I have to help you so we can help him, okay? So you have to stay awake, honey. Just keep those pretty green eyes open and tell me where it hurts the most.’ The younger woman was covered in so much blood, Sara couldn’t tell which of her wounds were the ones in need of immediate attention. She sincerely hoped the blood wasn’t all Noelle’s. ‘M-my leg.’ Sara whipped a bandage out from among the medical supplies and proceeded to tie it tightly over the large bleeding gash in Noelle’s leg, eliciting a pained gasp from the young scientist. Almost straight away, Noelle’s eyes started to become more focused on her surroundings; she was no longer loosing blood. ‘Noelle, can you help Seth?’ Sara shouted above the screeching of the manananggal, indicating that Ballog, Stark or Brother Anthony had landed a blow. ‘I have to find the lower half before that thing kills everybody.’ She helped Noelle carry Seth into the back of the van, a task that would have been a lot harder had the two women not been running on adrenalin. While Noelle set to work on Seth, Sara searched the van for something to destroy the lower half with. ‘Need salt, need salt…’ she muttered to herself, pushing things aside in every direction. ‘Who the hell carries salt everywhere?’ she exclaimed, becoming frustrated when her hunt turned up nothing remotely salty. She was about to go charging in with just her nail-gun when something caught her eye. A spare car battery. It would have to do. Snatching up the battery, Sara leapt out of the van and crouched behind a trash can on the fringes of the fight. From that spot, she could see the manananggal was never flying too far from a large dumpster. Even when she flew out to strike the attacking men, she always returned to the same general position. Trying her best not to be seen, Sara snuck around behind the fight, coming up on the opposite side of the dumpster, facing the monsters back. She knew Ballog and the holy men would be able to see her and she hoped they wouldn’t give her position away. As she got closer, she saw the lower half standing there, hidden behind the dumpster and a few stray garbage bags. Sara thought it looked really creepy; a pair of legs just waiting to be reunited with the rest of the body. She hoped they wouldn’t kick her when she got nearer. Trying her hardest not to look at the exposed innards, Sara balanced the car battery on top of the oddly stiff legs and waist. Taking two steps back, she raised her nail-gun and fired seven two-inch nails into it. Slowly, battery acid leaked from the puncture sites and dribbled toward the manananggal’s other half. As soon as the corrosive liquid touched flesh, smoke billowed upward and the skin began to melt. Sara felt sick but couldn’t tear her gaze away; the whole process was oddly fascinating. About half-way to the knees, the lower half stopped melting. Salt or garlic would have probably done a better job, but the manananggal certainly wasn’t going to be able to join herself back together. A loud, terrifying screech filled the alleyway and Sara looked up to find herself staring into the furious eyes of the monster. The mechanic whimpered and stumbled backwards. She was not a fighter, she barely knew how to use a gun. The nail-gun trembled in her hands as she held it up in front of her but the manananggal’s long tongue shot out, ripping the tool from her grasp. As the monster flew at her, claws outstretched, Sara screamed.

Noelle was tired, her bloodloss evident from the now bandaged gash on her leg, she was thanking god for getting Sara and the group there in time, she pulled some medical tools from her bag and proceeded to try to stitch the badly wounded Seth up.
"Sara, I'm gonna need you over here to help, can you make it quick?" she called from the van. She was bleeding badly, but she truthfully was more worried about Seth, who was dying slowly in front of her as she worked as quickly as she could, "come on now Seth, stick with me, we've gone through too much for you to die on me now," she managed to regain her composure as she managed to stitch the last of the wounds up, but his blood loss was much greater than hers, "he's gonna need to get to a hospital," she said rather quietly to Sara, "I can't treat him properly with my leg the way it is, and I just barely managed to stitch him up, he needs blood and fast, otherwise..." She checked his pulse, "it's really weak, he's just hanging in there. Seth, hun, hang in there for me..." |

[While Sara was busy administering first aid...]
Kundiman stopped wearing the shirt when she realized it also had creature sh8t on it. She scowled at it as she tossed it away nonchalantly. She held her phone up to her ear and felt worse with every ring of the van's phone that remained unanswered. She cursed as she walked back to the site where the two were busy unmucking up things. She, of course avoided stepping on remains she cared not to identify. She reached up the window and rapped sharply on it even as she checked her lipstick on the glass. Ri, who was near it, opened it for her. "What's going on? I'm not taking off my shirt." she said when she noticed the woman was still shirtless. "That honey, is too tight around the chest for me. Anyway, we need to go. Now. We can clean up later, i don't think the others are doing well. I guess the mother is too much for them so move it. Now!" She run towards the car, a feat in high stilhetto heels and caught the eye of the mother superior peeping out of the entrance. "There's a giant vampire bat on the lose. It eats flesh and animal control is taking care of it. Please keep the women away from the west wing?" she called out. The nun nodded hesitantly and went back inside the room. Nick and Ri came running and they were inside the car and off to where the signal from the van lead them. **** The car barely stopped when Kundiman rushed out of it and towards the bloody bodies of her teammates. "Oh God you're not dead are you? I need that bonus for my vacation!" she knelt before them and felt for Seth's pulse. Noelle laughed weakly. "Nothing more important than that of course." "What did you expect?" smiled Ri although her eyes were somehow teary. She began applying pressure to Noelle's wound. "Nick! Carry Seth now!" Kundiman called out. He was right behind her. "Why do I always sound like hired help when you're around?" He said, although his face had grim lines as he stared at the unmoving Seth. He grunted as he gingerly hefted the young man's dead weight. Kundiman opened his car's backdoor. The car blocked the van's exit and so his car was more convenient. "Seth is in a very bad shape." Noelle said as Nick came back for her. "Don't say such nonsense if you don't want to stay in the trunk." Kundiman said as she opened the passenger's side and pushed the seat as far as it would go. She got out of the way. "What happened to your clothes?" she asked. "Oh nothing, we were trying to get Ri to take her shirt off to but--" A loud scream, sounding exactly like Sara emanated from the dumpster.

Noelle jumped, "Sara? God, get out of there! You guys have no chance against it, it's a b*tch to get, we need to get Seth out of here, hospital, anywhere where medics can take care of him, it's the bloodloss that's the problem, and damn, my camera's bust," she looked at it, the screen broken in many places, "that cost a damn lot as well."
"There are more important things than cameras," Nick replied as he got in, "like saving Seth." "I know, but we have to get the others out of there, otherwise they're gonna get killed, that thing is so f*cking evil," she said, looking at her unconscious teammate, "Seth, honey, please hang in there, if not for the pay, at least for me." A tear fell down her pale cheek. |

Nicky wanted to go and help the others but he and Ri were busy helping Seth into the van. Noelle was barking orders on how to lift him and they dared not to do as otherwise instructed. The moment they heard Sara, Nicky would've dropped everything but Seth needed as much help now. Besides Ballog and the knights were tackling Kath. - The bitch -
And they did some tackling just a minute ago. The monsters swiped at Ballog's jacket just as he tackled Sara to safetly. With his jacket torn, Ballog wasn't exactly happy but he wasn't exactly in a state to complain. He was bruised and scratched at several places. Claw marks had shone through his tattered shirt but otherwise no more than flesh wounds. The other man had fallen back when the creature tossed his hammer aside like a toy. He was the squire from what Nicky recalled. What was his name again? Anthony? Antony? Whatever the case he got his hammer back and was fighting the clashing with Kath once again. Nicky rolled his eyes just for a second. Why these people insist on using hammers were beyond him. Guns and salt would've resolved the battle long ago. It must be nearing an hour since Nicky, Ri, and Kundi had separated from the group. The fight here was pretty fierce as it was. Everything seemed tight until the manananggal shriveled and turned blackish. It's lower half had probably been dealt with. That puts the battle in favor of the agency. 'or at least it should' Nicky thought. They had just finished loading Seth into the van when the squire tossed the hammer towards the knights who had reengaged the manananggal. Sara was hobbling back towards the van and helping Noelle when the manananggal came after them. Both of them screamed but Ballog punctured the creatures wings with the nail gun. "Nicholas! we have to get Seth and Noelle to safety. Ballog and the rest can handle the manananggal." Kudiman shouted. "Damn it! just a sec okay before we leave!" Nicky shouted back. He grabbed his magun revolver from its holster and shouted at the Squire who was weaponless at the moment. "Hey you! Anthony! grab this!" He tossed the gun towards the squire who caught it firmly between his hands. He hoped that this battle would end soon as they couldn't afford to lose more people. Noelle, Ri was finding out, could be so bossy when hurt and scared. Still, she and Nicky followed what she said to the letter. Helping Nicky lift Seth into the car, Ri was beginning to wonder how it was the knight could move in the armor they had earlier divested him off. And how long it was taking them to finish the disgusting thing. When Seth was safely inside the van, Ri ran to Sara who was dazed and sitting there on the ground. Ri pulled her up and away from the scene. "C'mon Sara, snap out of it. Do you want me to slap you? We have to get Seth and Noelle to the hospital!"
Sara woke and immediately headed for the driver's seat. Ri rode shotgun and readied her laptop to fix the traffic lights. She heard Kundiman shout something. Nicky had gone from the van and gave something to the squire. When he got back on, Sara drove away from the scene. Ri looked to the rearview mirror and saw Ballog cornering the mananaggal, Kath. The men from the Vatican were following suit. With it's legs in such a state it was sure to be in pain. Facing from again, she hacked into the city's road system and made a go for the green lights to come on when they neared. She heard a shot from behind them and an unholy scream. You got that coming for you. |

Seth slowly half-opened his eyes, dazed and confused. He could hear people shouting, but the sound was muffled and his vision was blurred. Slowly regaining his senses, he realised he couldn't feel his legs and was losing blood.
'Damn, I should drive more carefully.' He thought he heard himself say before passing out again in a white flash. He opened his eyes again and realised he had full control of his senses and movement again. Stretching his legs, he looked around and realised he was in a small alley. He could feel the cold, he could feel the wind, but he realised he wasn't conscious, which was strange. The alley seemed strangely familiar. He let out a harsh curse as he realised his surroundings in horror. He was in Ireland, in the alley where he'd decided to leave and head to America. Looking towards a slight noise, Seth saw a door swing open and a hooded figure walk out of a packed nightclub, obviously trying to be discreet by taking the back entrance. He knew why of course. He could see himself. As the figure leaned on a wall and slumped to the floor, three more, taller people exited the club, walking towards the younger Seth and standing around him. One gave him a kick to announce their presence. 'That was one hell of a bloody stunt ye pulled in there, Patchy.' 'Did I have a choice?' 'Of course ye did!' 'I didn't expect an answer to that.' 'Shut up!' The largest one lashed out with another kick to Seth's ribs. Coughing, he stood up slowly. 'Now, after that, I have to say, you're a bloody eejit. You're a bloody genius eejit.' The teenager rolled his eyes and passed a sack of money to the large Irishman. 'That's all of it, Malcy. Pounds Sterling. Now get off my back, I'm through with you, there's no need to do anything else.' 'Oh, I won't be doin' anything else lad, don't you worry about that. Then again, the boss may decide otherwise. Now I'm doin' you a favour here kiddo, just for that one time you patched up me leg for me. Get out o' town before the boss catches up with ye'. Understand? Good boy. Now go on, get outta here.' It took Seth a few seconds to realise he was somewhere else. A crowded street, again at night, looking distinctly familiar. Maybe even somewhere in Chicago. As he was contemplating this, he heard the screeching of brakes and a car whizzed around a corner. He saw the car flip over and go through a shop window, and come to a screeching halt inside the closed shop. running over to where it had happened, he had a wave of Deja Vu, and realised this had happened to him aswell. Seeing himself, eighteen years old, crawling out of the car, which was on it's roof, and dusting himself down, Seth almost ran over to help until he realised he was in a dream or a hallucination. He saw his own hooded form, minus three years, looking into the shadows at the far side of the shop where he heard whispering sounds. Seeing himself walk towards the far end of the shop, lighting a match, he prepared for the horrible scream that he knew was about to come. The horrible screeching sound pierced his ears and made him clutch his head in pain. Looking up, he saw the vampire descend on his form, remembering the moment in his head as well as seeing it happen before him. Seth saw his own pathetic attempts to beat the creature away, before the area was filled with lights and he could hear gunshots. He didn't need to see any more of the chaos that ensued, he decided, turning away. He wished he could erase the images from his head aswell, but he couldn't. As the gunfire died out, Seth looked round to see himself standing up and being put in handcuffs and dragged away by someone familiar. Sighing, Seth walked over to the dead vampire. The corpse was as he remembered it, three years ago. After that, he remembered, he'd been taken for questioning, the Agency found out about his medical background and took him in as a trainee. Smiling to himself, he knew it was the only way he could thank them. They saved his life, he worked for them now. Instantly he realised that his life had been flashing before his eyes and he remembered the Manananggal. White light flooded his vision before fading away into blackness. Opening his eyes, Seth sat up quickly and gasped for air, looking down at himself and at his surroundings. 'I must have missed one hell of a party...' He said to nobody in particular. '...And has someone been eating Pizza and didn't tell me?' He looked down at himself again and remembered he was seriously injured. 'Oh, right. That thing. Unconscious. Out of body experience and all that stuff. Whatever. Does anyone have any Morphine?' With that he laid back down again and quietly yet again slipped into unconsiousness.

Noelle looked at Seth, "trust, first thing he asks is about food," she said with a light laugh, wincing from her ribs, "pass me some morphine will ya?" she asked Nicky before taking it from his hands. She pulled the cover of the needle off it with her teeth and prepared an area to insert the needle, trying to make sure she didn't stab an artery, otherwise he'd be in worse shape than now.
She did it quickly, whipping it out before she could stab it in too far, "there, just don't get too high off this okay Seth," she said, even though he was unconscious. She then made sure her stitching was still in place, cutting the bottoms of his trousers away. "We are going to need a serious lie for these injuries," she sighed, "otherwise we are going to be in so much crap." |

Kundiman entered the hospital emergency room entrance like an avenging angel, covered in blood and still beautiful. She knew because she had checked in every reflective surface she met. She grabbed at a cute doctor's arm (There were two but she picked the more good looking one) and mustered tears. ""Please help my friends, they were in a car accident, there was so much blood." she pointed at the doors.
The medical team rushed towards Nick carrying the now unconscious Seth. He had woken up earlier and said something about pizza. She made a mental note to herself to buy him some because he didn't die. The agency had a policy that they would all be given a bonus if no one dies in the mission. Their pay was good enough, the bonuses made things almost lucrative. And so, pizza for the alive, even if he could not kick much, Seth. Noelle was immediately given attention to by another team. They followed until the spot where they were allowed to. They watched doctors and nurses stripping both of clothes, disinfecting wounds and hooking them both up to both blood and ivs. The doctors looked concerned but not grim and that made Kundiman sigh in relief. She turned to Nick who was watching grimly, ealy, the dude was too much of a worrier. "We need to go back and check on the others. You go back to see if they're done torturing the bitch but drop me off first at the shelter so I can do damage control. Ri, keep us posted about those guys. Alright?"
