(OOC Thread - Wolf Pack Battle OOC )

Gambit Strolled around the entrance to his packs den at the base of a very large oak sniffing the air at intervals to make sure no enemy pack was nearing thier den. He took one last look through the forest seeing a dim glow knowing that is the humans town. "Blasted humans who do they think they are." Laying down next to a young sapling taking in the piecful surronding. Watching every move that went on around him.

With her nose to the ground, Palla limped into the shelter of the forest. She knew she was risking her life by entering another pack's territory, but she had no choice. The snare around her paw bit deep, and without shelter the men and their dogs would soon find and kill her. Palla stopped for a moment to lick her wound, then she carried on along a winding deer trail, sniffing at the alien scents around her. The trail ended at a steep embankment with a shallow ditch running before it. By now Palla was exhausted, so she eased herself into the ditch and slipped into a weary doze.

Dagri'lux waded along the river of her territory, sniffing the blood of her recently felled pack. Not all of them were dead, but the humans had come before and shot them down. The River Elder had run back from her hunt just in time to chase off the two novice hunters. She had only lost three young wolves. Others of her pack ambled out from behind tree and looked on the scene with mournful expressions, and Dagri sat up and howled a warning beacon to other wolves nearby, regardless of pack.

They were all enemies of the humans.

The Elder dipped her nose in the water, washing off traces of blood to clear her scent tracking ability. She paced the bank, thinking of some way to lead her pack to revenge. It wasnt easy, and she still didnt have an alpha male to help her, at least one that didnt try to mate with her first. Dagri'Lux growled and looked back at the pups bodies.

How could they? They were only kids! It was probably all the same to them. But her pack never killed their children! It was immoral! Dagri growled again.

She sniffed an unfamiliar scent, it was blood, but not of her packs, or the other two, either. She followed the scent down the river bank; her vision was terrible because of the cataracts forming on her old eyes, until she came to a lone wolf, not belonging of any pack, resting in a ditch. The poor wolf had a snare wrapped tightly around her paw. Dagri tilted her head.

"Child, awaken. I can help." she called in her scratchy, elderly voice.

Gambits ears twitched as the sound of heavy feet came from the way of the dim glow then the scent of blood. Hmm humans and a wounded wolf. Getting up out of the dirt he went into a light trot coming across the two wolfs in the ditch.

"Your out of your territory wolf." Crouching down and baring his teeth. "You better state your business and leave or else." Taking a step forward, preparing to defend his territory.

Palla awoke with a start and struggled to her feet, ignoring the pain as best she could, she turned to the old She-Wolf. "Only Humans and their clever hands can remove these things, old one, and that's only after they've killed us. I fear i shall lose my paw." Palla grimaced at the though of being a cripple, as well as an outcast. Just then a very large male Wolf confronted the pair.

"Your out of your territory wolf." Crouching down and baring his teeth. "You better state your business and leave or else." Taking a step forward, preparing to defend his territory.

Palla growled and raised her hackles. "I am passing through, Wolf. I have no interest in your territory, nor your pack. If i have to go through you to do it, then so be it, but i will not die by Human hands" she snarled, and braced herself for the inevitable fight.

Dagri'Lux turned her head on Gambit and trotted in front of the injured stray. She flashed her teeth at him and sat between them.

"And you are near out of yours.", she retorted, "Leave her be, Ill take care of her."

She stood and turned her back on Gambit, walking carefully towards Palla, rubbing her jaws together. The snare was close to the strays fur and skin, and she carefully lowered her head towards the wound to inspect it. The snare consisted of a thin, metal rope with leaves and dirt snagged into it, presumably from Palla dragging the snare along with her as she walked.

"Easy work, child. Hold still." Dagri said in a soothing voice.

She took hold of the rope with her incisors and moved her upper and lower jaw in opposite directions, slicing through the metal with her teeth. She did this repeatedly with the wrapped up rope and spit the pieces aside, backing away in case Palla needed to cleanher wound.

"There."

Chuckling at the loner comment. "I have of no reason to harm you, you are not the one who is alpha of the river pack." Looking to the alpha female that now jars his view of the one. "But you are correct i am almost out of my territory."

Coming out of ready position. "you step any closer and you are fair game but seeing as your helping this wolf out of the human trap i have no reason to harm but you must take her else were unless you came to fight."

Shimi sniffed the air. She was in there forest packs den waiting for Gambit to get back. But then her nose caught something. A few wolves who where out of there territory. She growled. She took off out of the den and headed in the direction of where she thought the wolves where.

She skidded to a halt when she spotted Gambit. She growled when she noticed a few other wolves there. They definatly weren't forest pack wolves.

Palla licked her wounded paw, then turned to the alpha male. "It would seem i have no further need to tresspass. I shall leave now. She nodded at the elder female "I thank you for your help, It will not be forgotten. It's not often a loner finds anything other than hostility." With that, Palla turned and limped back the way she had come, then angled south, away from both packs' respective territories.

Smelling Shimi come up behind him he knew he could not move out of defence for his mate. "Loner you are a fool to go on like that it is a not safe, i dont hate other wolfs but i will fight for my territory either stay with, HER." a distasteful tone to it. "Or stay here i will not turn down a fellow wolf in this time of humans." Looking back to make sure he was inbetween the other alpha and his mate.

As he squared himself between the two alpha females a loud sound ringed out and part of a tree near Dagri'Lux exploded into splinter and shrapenal. "Humans."s
