Kalib emerged from his hole in the abandoned prison, the large white stone tucked inside his multitude of shirts, making him appear to be much fatter than he was. Of course, his noble plumpness didn't match his clothes, and he knew it. It soon wouldn't matter. It was about time Kalib and the stone moved to a new town. This one might start getting suspicious. Already there was some bickering about customers gypping the merchants.
Kalib easily made it past the town limits without an eye casting upon him. He ran into the nearby woods he knew so well. A quick walk inwards he found his makeshift map, hidden inside a rotting tree. Unrolling the map with care, as to not tear the valuable, to him at least, paper, he frowned. "Every town...I can't go back to any of the nearby towns around this forest." he muttered. Rolling the map up and sticking it next to the stone in his shirt, he sighed. "Looks like we'll have to hit the main roads and walk around the king's city." "I really don't think I'm going to like this trip." he thought, mustering his courage and venturing forth.

Halt watched as the boy rubbed the swords with his thumb... enraged that the king collected his enemy's blades as trophies. Its true that each Dragon rider's sword was specially made to match the color of their dragon. He was no different, his sword was made for him and him alone.
Halt looked at the vampire elf and raised an eyebrow, a strange mix, he listened to what she said and spoke softly, "It looks like the three of us had something in common...We all fought the king at one point in our lives. I fought him right after he killed the king before him, and nearly died my self." He looked to the woman and said, "Are you the same as us? Or were you spared from having to face him?" He looked to the boy again and said, "You may have stolen those from the king, but those are Dragon rider swords. One of which belonged to a close friend of mine. I will ask you to find another sword to use until you have been properly trained on how to be a dragon rider. Using those swords is like a slap in the face of the dead Dragon riders who those were made for." His voice was cold but he couldn't help it, the sword belonged to the same friend who died trying to fight the king with the other ten Dragon riders. He walked forward and offered his hand, "May I see Sor' nic? The rubied pommeled one..." |

He eyed the vampire in awe as she spoke of her attempt on the Kings life *Way to go...* he thought in admiration.
"May I see Sor' nic? The rubied pommeled one..." He heard the elf ask. He felt somewhat irritated but understood why he should keep it. "Yeah... what ever..." He unbuckled the belt, pulling the sheath and the sword from it. "When I was running out of there... these two seemed... just seemed to be calling out to me..." He stared at the Red ruby for a second, then placed it in his hands. He felt odd when he parted with it, like a part of his identity went with it. "Take good care of it..." He mummbled. As he buckled his belt back up, he felt as if he was being watched. He wrapped his hand around his blade, then smelt the foul stench he had been all to familar with... *It's the Ra'zac again...* His face filled with anger as he looked at Brisingr. "We need to go... now..." He turned, slowly unsheathing his sword. *Can you see any other heat signatures besides ours...?* He thought to Brisingr. *No... how can that foul stench be here...* Brisingr stood, shaking the ground slightly. |

Adriana just simply gave Halt a nod when he asked her if she had ever faced the King before. Yes, she had faced him and she had survived…but truthfully she didn’t feel like talking about it. It was always a touchy subject when she even thought of the experience. Vanthm…was an awful…horrible person.
Sensing her distress, Draken stood up from his laying position and came to stand behind her. He attempted to nuzzle her in between the shoulder blades, but he was so big that he ended up getting her whole back and nearly knocking her over. “It’s nice that you saved them…so that he wont have them as trophies anymore.” Adriana added after Halt told him that if he used them as weapons, it was like a slap in the face to the dead Dragon Riders. In a way it was, but she knew that the human hadn’t thought of it like that. “We should find a place to rest for the night. If we move now…we may be able to lose them and actually get some sleep tonight.” Some people had problems sleeping, while knowing that they were in danger. Adriana wasn’t one of those people. As long as she was asleep...everything seemed okay.

He shook his head as he saw a dark mass moving in the distance around the trees. "You three get out of here..." He tightened the grip on the sword in his hand. "I've got a small score to settle with that one..." He mumbled.
Brisingir busted through trees, coming to his side. As one of the Ra'zac jumped to a tree, he slammed his front paw down on the group, making it feel like an earthquake had just come through. The Ra'zac jumped to the next tree, but missed it totally. It was easing closer and closer. |

Adriana was torn between taking Draken and leaving or staying. She didn’t want Draken to get hurt if they stayed, but she also didn’t want to leave this new Rider alone with the Ra’zac. Sure, he said that he had fought them before, but he also seemed to be somewhat inexperienced.
She held her ground gracefully when Brisingir stomped the ground, making an Earthquake that threw the Ra’zac off. Draken took this opportunity, while the stench-smelling creature was distracted, to shoot flames in the Ra’zacs direction. A loud roar backed up Draken’s flame, and it seemed to get hotter and hotter, eventually turning into a green blaze. When he finally stopped, the Ra’zac, being a strong creature, was lit on fire and half-fried but still moving towards them. Adriana ran to the saddle on Draken’s back, and pulled out her long sword. The hilt was gold, decorated with gleaming emeralds. It matched her Dragon perfectly. Draken, with a swift turn, slashed a tree in half with the sharp spikes at the end of his tail. The tree fell on top of the Ra’zac, but of course…it was just something to further injure and hinder it. Where the Ra’zac lay stuck under the tree, maggots began to form on whatever it touched and the grass beneath it began to die. Nice, Andriana told Draken, offering him an admiring smile. He just nodded in return, obviously loving it when his moves were appreciated. “You will soon see your king in hell, foul creature.” Adriana spoke to the Ra’zac, who was clawing his way out from under the tree as she spoke. Then she stepped aside to give either Halt, Lenira, or Merion a chance to finish off the attacker.

Lenira shuddered at the sight of the creature, curling her lip in disgust.
"Foul Ra'Zac!" She spat, drawing her sword and stepping towards the trapped Ra'Zac. The blade of her elven longsword glistened in the bit of greenish sunlight seeping down from above as she neatly and carelessly ended the creature's life with a clean slice to the throat. She watched with an almost bored expression as it melted into the ground, soon disappearing. "Well that's that." She murmured, cleaning her sword off with a soft cloth she took from her back pocket. She sheathed it and then looked over at the others with a smile. "I so do enjoy that."

He smilled faintly as the Vampire killed the trapt Ra'zac.
*Havent seen a female of your kind take action like that before...* Brisingr mentioned, slightly sarcastic. Merion shook his head at his dragon, grinning a little. He re-sheathed his sword, turning around back torwards the others. "It's alot easier to get rid of them when we're in groups like..." His voice trailed off as he felt something like a bee sting hit him in the back of the neck. His hand jerked torwards it, pulling out a inch long dart, dripping with some dark liquid that ran down the back of his neck. He turned in the direction of where it was shot from, another dark mass darted across the ground, going out of site. "What in the hell was..." His words began to slur torwards the end of his sentence, his visions started going in and out. "Poisonnn..." He stummbled torwards Brisingr, putting his hand on one of his powerful legs. *What's the matter...?* Brisingr asked, his head curled around, nudging him lightly with concern. *They poisoned me...* Merion felt deslusional as everything started moving around in places it shouldnt be. |

Halt took Sor' nic and quickly placed the sword on the saddle. He did not want to be mean, but that swords owner was a personal friend, he would give it back...when the boy was ready.
Suddenly the Ra 'zac attacked, but before he had anytime to do anything, the beast was killed. Every thing was fine for a moment, but he still felt something... But before he had the time to react, the boy was hit with a poison dart. Halt pulled his sword from his sheath and ran in the direction of where the dart came from. "Woman! Get the boy and the Dragon out of here!" He said to the other dragon rider. When he passed the vampire/elf, he said, " Go with them..." He didn't give time for an answer, he was already in the trees. "Jhaer ti mi syl si aer os si pandryl" He said softly, Suddenly his vision changed, he could now see as Klassh did. He quickly picked up the fleeing Ra' zac's heat and ran changed his direction so he was right behind him. Klassh was in the air above him and shot a blast of fire infront of the Ra 'zac, attempting to slow him, but the creature jumped through the inferno. Halt knew he would not catch the Ra' zac so he threw his sword softly into the air and quickly said, "Tia mys, thol si Ra' zac's baes!" His sword shot forward and cut through the tree trunks and soon slammed into the back of the creatures neck. He saw the Ra 'zac fall and disappear. He retrieved his sword and climed up the trees till he was at the top, then jumped onto Klassh's back. |
