Kai rolled over on her back and stretched, but being careful not to move too suddenly. She opened her eyes, looking around for Ben. Not in sight. Getting up she wandered over to the babies. Smiling more than she ever had before, but there was still an empty feeling left.
Walking over towards the door she buzzed a nurse, a bunny feral frantically rushed in. "Wha- O-oh, good morning miss. Is there anything you'd like?" Kai walked back over to the babies and looked back, "Can I hold them?" The nurse replied quickly, "You may. I'll open the pods for you." She opened them and fled to the door, "Just buzz again if you want help or assistance. Good day ma'am."
Kai reached out to the female feral first, cradling her gently for a while. She wove her fingers through the little ones hair and held her tiny hand. "You are just so cute, wait 'til the whole group see's you two." Kissing her forehead gently she placed her back in the pod, then picking up the male. He had scales on his hands and feet, and light fur like his father. Kai cradled him as well, then also placed him back. She walked back to the bed and sat down. Waiting.

Ren checked his arm device. Osiph had pulled out his profile for him as he read. There was nothing out of the ordinary in his notes.

"Drake? Nice to meet you. Shall we begin?" Ren said. He lowered into a stance and decided to go easy on the cadet, so he sent a low, sweeping kick to his legs and was surprised to see him step back to dodge, then sprint forward to try and catch him off balance before he finished the sweep. Ren saw what he was trying to do and intentionally refrained from replanting his swinging foot, letting himself fall, yet grabbing Drake's ankle as he hit the mat. Drake's forward momentum was suddenly stopped and he fell on top of Ren who quickly put him in a headlock.

Then unexpectedly, Ren found himself flying through the air across the room as Drake twisted and threw him with inhuman strength. Ren slammed into the wall, bounced off the padding and fell to the floor on all fours, shaking his long white hair to regain his concentration. He had to breath deeply to keep his adrenaline down. He wasn't expecting that.

"Good." he said, "Now try and dodge this!" Ren jumped forward, crossing the wide room through the air and brought his fist down as Drake jumped out of the way, stumbling backwards and falling on his backside as Ren slammed his fist into the floor between his legs. The mat beneath his fist exploded, sending bits of sponge and rubber a few feet away, leaving a black rip in the floor. Drake looked down at the damage and looked back up to Ren's sneer. Ren meant to miss.
"That will be all for today." he said standing up. He turned to the rear wall where a few towels hung to grab one and he tried to rub out his sore shoulder from the impact to the wall.

Kisa looked up at Ren as he walked by, letting out the breath she didn't realize she'd been holding in a rush. She scooted up to her feet and padded along behind him, moved to his side when he stopped, and against her better judgment put a light hand on his arm and grinned. "Temper temper, big bad." She smiled a bit more to herself, deciding that's his new nickname, and tilted her head a little as she let her hand fall. "What's up?"

Drake stayed where he landed for a minute and gained his feet when the class started to disperse. Lingering, he looked like he didn't quite know what to do with himself for a moment, and studied the mortally wounded foam. When the room was mostly quiet he walked toward the back, oddly grateful he still had that capability, and stopped a foot or two from Ren. He gave a polite smile to the girl and put the majority of his attention on Ren, studying him silently before mentioning, "Short class." He stopped there, uncertain if he was going to have to actually ask what the hell just happened.

Kisa sooo did not smile back. The boy's scent bothered her now that she noticed it, and she moved to keep the larger feral between them, not really giving a damn what it might look like. Maybe she'll ask Seth about it if she finds him. Then again, maybe not. For now she just stood there and stared in that unblinking cat way.

Ren smiled when Kisa stepped up beside him, placing a hand on his sore shoulder.

"Things are going great for once." he said, "But it all seems to be going too fast. Pieces are falling into place but I can't step back far enough to see the big picture. Something is still missing." he wiped his brow with a towel, "I guess I got a little excited. I didn't expect him to be En.."

"Sort class." Came a voice behind him. Ren turned around, noticing Kisa step behind him. Drake was standing with his stare locked on him.

"Yeah i didn't really want to follow the instructor's dull plan. I'd figure I'd keep it short for the first day." Ren said, then grew tired of his stare and spoke again when everyone had left, leaving the tree of them alone, "I know you're wondering about how I did that to the floor. I'm sure you have a good idea, since we're both Enhanced. Just to let you know, I'm a little different if that not obvious." He threw the towel over his head, sailing over Kisa's head as well and landing perfectly on the rail along the wall, "With everything that's going on in the world today, It might be best to continue to keep the fact you are different a secret."

"Pieces are falling into place but I can't step back far enough to see the big picture. Something is still missing." Kisa smiled to Ren and then stopped whatever she was going to say, not wanting to talk in front of the other boy. She studied him around Ren's shoulder, as something in the back of her mind tickling that he wasn't right kept her wary. She'll try to puzzle it out later, she decided, since it wasn't like he'd done anything to her to make her feel oddly about him. She ducked a bit as the towel went through the air, just out of reflex, and grinned at it hanging, shifting a bit from one foot to the other as she waited as patiently as she knew how.

Drake nodded carefully, his expression somewhat guarded for an instant before it faded into a smile. "Yeah, well. I was a little worried that I'd done something to tick you off. You know. When you killed the floor. I'm uh.. sorry about throwing you, I don't really have a grip on what I can and can't do yet." He pushed a hand through his hair and gave Ren a sheepish look before casting his eyes to the floor for a minute and then looked back up, something strange in his expression. "It's not easy, is it." With that, he tipped his head slightly to the side and grinned before turning around and walking off, a hand raised to wave backwards as he went out the door. "See ya around."

Kisa flicked an ear uncertainly and focused on big bad again. "So what's been goin on with you? I haven't seen hide nor hair of.. well, of anyone since lunch yesterday."

He should be ecstatic right now, knowing that Kate really loved him, but he felt worried and slightly confused about everything, not surprising for someone with such a large part of his life missing.
"I guess they've been busy." he said, then made sure everyone was gone before he turned to talk seriously, "I've got a feeling something big is going to happen. It's going to happen fast so I'd expect anything. This whole place.." He gestured all around him, "...Is here for a reason, and that's to train protectors of the world peace. This isn't High School." He lowered his eyes to the floor, "Honestly, I think this whole school is a bad idea. The world shouldn't be looking to people so young to save the world. I should be out there fighting so you guys don't have to be."

Cypher headed towards the pier, not knowing he was supposed to meet Ulric beforehand. Someone had intercepted the email and he was totally unaware of it ever being sent.

He cautiously entered the warehouse, shifting his armor to it's white color and changing his helmet to cover his face. As he entered, he stopped when he saw Ulric lying against the wall, and Cody standing over him.

"What's going on hereeee..... Cypher hissed, "Leave him aloneeeee"

"Ah the ghostly fighter!" Cody said, turning around, "Would you like to take his place?"

"Glaaaaaddllllyyyyy!" he rasped, rushing forward. An energy sword flashed where Cody's head used to be and he danced around a web of sword slashes launched by Cypher, dodging them all without breaking a sweat. There was a slight flash which seemed like the only counterattack, Cypher's energy blade flew across the building, embedding in a crate above another fighter's head, while Cypher flew in the other direction, landing next to Ulric, where he slid down the wall and slumped forward.

CHASSIS DAMAGE CRITICAL...
OS PROTECTION ENABLED...
ENERGY SAVE MODE ENABLED...

This was all Cypher saw before his eyes. Something he hadn't seen since he was first activated. He wanted to get up, but his body wouldn't move. His vision wouldn't work either, leaving only his audio sensors barely functioning. He heard Cody walk across the building and pull Cypher's blade from the crate, as it crackled against the metal. He stepped back up to them, holding the sword out before them.

"Nice blade." he said, "I think I'll keep it. After I get rid of you two with it." Cody drew back his arm, pressing a button on the handle to expand the blade to full capacity. A flash of light erupted between them as he swung the sword low.

Cypher's vision sensors suddenly began functioning as the self repair enabled them enough to work, even if his vision was still fuzzy. He looked up, and saw a cloaked figure standing over him. The cloaked figure had his gloved hand firmly clasped around the raw energy of the blade.
"N-no." Cypher's voice crackled as he tried to speak.
"W-Who the hell are you?" Cody stammered, trying to pull the sword free. he watched as the blade began crackling and burning away at the man's glove, yet he didn't let go, even though there was no matter to hold onto. There was no reason why the blade couldn't be moved, but yet it was held fast.
"I cannot stand by anymore." he said, "Cody, you have gained too much power." He turned his head so his bright yellow eyes could be seen, glowing under his hood, "Back the hell off, or you will lose the ability to breathe."

Cody's eyes widened in surprise, then a sneer came across his face as he closed his eyes, opening them to reveal narrowed, cat like pupils.
"You're threatening me? I'm afraid of no one!" he yelled. A flash of a punch came at the cloaked man, which connected, but Cody didn't pull back. Only Cypher could see Cody's face convulsing as he seemed to be electrocuted. There was another flash of light between the two, and Cody flew across the room, colliding with the far wall, then falling to the floor. The hooded man turned and hefted the two onto his shoulders, showing a strength not of any average human. No one opposed him as he left the building, and into an automatic cab. With a wave of his hand, the computer didn't ask for a fare as it took them to the hospital.

Angela was happier then she had ever been in her entire life, the wind blowing through her long hair as she stood on the deck of the ship, the rich deep blue of the ocean stood beneath her as the ship glided just above the surface. There came a soft thumping behind her and she was smiling even before the large fur covered arms wrapped about her shoulders. Leaning back into Farkas's chest she closed her eyes as she relaxed in the comforting embrace that was who he was, the only person in many years who had the ability to calm her fiery temper when all else would run. Sighing in pure contentment she allowed her body to practically go limp against his strong form, knowing that he would always be there to hold and support her in body as well as in soul. The salty air mixed with the scent that was distinctively Farkas made her smile even more, snuggle closer to the person she had come to love and value more then anyone else in this world. The one person who had made her change her ways completely, making her life happier and so full of love that she was still convinced this was some kind of wonderful dream which she dreaded waking up from one day. Standing her on this boat with him off to some tropical island made her realize that they were meant to be together and there was no power in the world that would or could keep them away from one another. "This is just so perfect...." she says in a voice that was barely above a whisper. In the back of her mind though she knew times were changing and there may come a time when simple moments like this are few and far between, so she resolved herself to enjoy every moment with him to its fullest. Smirking she turned in his arms wrapping her arms about his waist as she looked up into his golden eyes, "So my love would you like to help me try that bathing suit on before we get to the island?" she winked at him as she ducked out of his arms and made her way slowly to the stairs that would led down to the sleeping quarters. Briefly she made a mental note to call and check on Ben and Kai, to see how everyone was doing. Looking over her shoulder at him for one more moment before she disappeared down the stairs a smile still on her face as she thought again just how happy she truly was with her life.

Ben rolled over and sat up as he realized he must have dozed off for a bit, rubbing his eyes he scratched his head then stretched while he yawned. Getting slowly to his feet he stretched even more as he tried to figure out how much time had passed since he had been placed in here. All he knew were two things, one he was very very thirsty, the other was that he no longer felt the over whelming urge to explode anymore. "Can someone bring me a glass of water? And perhaps run a test on my blood? I have a fiance and two kids waiting for me." he laughed a bit as he flexed his hands a bit feeling the power that laid just beneath the surface, it made him feel good really good. He had never had any power, he was always feeling afraid and powerless, now he knew he had power and it felt good to him. The door opened and a human nurse came in wearing a mask and gloves carrying a glass of water in one hand and a scanner in the other. Ben took the water and drank it down hurriedly, while the nurse scanned him. At about the time he was done with the water the nurse pulled down her mask and smiled at him, "Congratulations. You are one of the few humans to so quickly gain control and stabilize their DNA. Would you like to see your family now?" she gestures toward the opened door. A few moments later Ben stood at the door to Kai's room, "Good to see you up and about again." he says to her gently before he quickly closes the gap between them and takes her into his arms. Holding her close he can feel tears threatening to spill forth as he finally relaxed after being away from her which felt like an eternity, but was only about a day. Pulling back from her he looked deep into her eyes as he reached up and stroked her cheek, then he kissed her deeply with all the love he had for her in his heart. When the kiss finally ended he smiled, "I love you." he said to her in a whisper as he leaned forward to touch his forehead to hers relishing the moment a bit longer before he leaned back with a grin, "How about Jack and Jill for the babies?"

Ulric moaned as he tried to figure out what happened, his body hurt all over and he was not sure where he was at. "CODY!!!" he shouted as he suddenly remembered what had happened to him, "Its ok Subject 9542, you're safe now. We have you back now and will be repairing you so that you work as good as new." Hearing his old designation made him try to sit up, but found himself held fast and securely to the table. "THATS NOT MY NAME!!!" he roared at the top of his lungs as he struggled harder, "Yes it is 9542. Relax now you are in good hands." Those voices again.....why could he not see them?? Panic began to grip him as he struggled harder, "I need to warn my friend he is in danger...." he said in a horse voice. "Your friend is here in the hospital being taken care of, so no need to worry about him. Besides your physical damage there is extensive mental damage as well, which would explain why you ran from us about a year ago. You have us worried sick when you went rouge and then when you deactivated your homing beacon we thought the absolute worst. Not worry though we will fix you up in no time and everything will be just fine." their voice had always been so damn calm, it still pissed him off today only now he was able to voice his anger and rage. "I'M NOT BROKEN!!' he bellowed as he began to break free from his restraints, "Time to sleep 9542." And just like that he felt himself go limp as his main system was shutdown, his organic mind screaming into the blackness but getting no response......

Cypher opened his eyes, knowing his optics were repaired but not seeing anything. The room suddenly illuminated by a soft yellow glow. Cypher sat up quickly and noticed he was in a hospital room, laying in the bed as if he were a normal human. Sitting beside his bed was the cloaked figure, his elbows on his knees and hands on his chin. The soft yellow glow was coming from his glowing eyes.

"Glad to see you are awake, Cypher." he said.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
"That's the way you thank me?" he asked.
"Thanks." he said, "But you still didn't answer my question why are you here?" The man sighed, rubbing his stress-lined face. The light in the room went out as he closed his eyes, then lit up again when he looked to Cypher.
"It's been too long." he said, "Too damn long. I've been hiding and watching in the shadows for too long. I can't sit around and let this happen."
"Let what happen?" Cypher asked, "What did you learn?" There wasn't a response until the man stood up and walked to the window, pulling down a blind with a sharp clink of the metal. "Jonathan, what did you learn!" he shouted. Cypher never raised his voice, but this time he felt slight panic. Something new for him.
"I learned," he said, "That the academy isn't what it seems. The underground fighting league is just a distraction from the main problem. Donta is the key, but not to the keyhole everyone thinks." There was a pause and Cypher stood up, sliding off the bed.
"How is Ulric?" he asked, straightening the sheets. Another habit he had due to his cyborg efficiency.
"The other cyborg?" Jonathan asked, "You mean 9542? He's fine. The other technicians are repairing him. They're going to repair his Cerebral network soon. He should be back to his original self soon."
"There was no damage to his Cerebral Network." Cypher said, turning from the bed.
"He has been damaged since he had left." Jonathan said. Cypher stepped forward.
"That was not damage, John. We have to stop them!"
"What do you mean?"
"The programming took over his personality. He just managed to disable it and now you are reinstating the programing?" Jonathan's eyes glowed brighter as he let his anger flare.
"Is their influence even here?" he snapped, "God, is there anyone I can trust anymore?" He then stormed out of the room with Cypher on his heels.

They arrived a few floors down in the elevator and John stormed out, quite literally. Cypher had to stay a few feet behind him because some of his systems were being disrupted by a strong magnetic feild from him. At one point, electricity arced to a light in the hall, making it pop. John kept walking until they came to a lab, where the door opened casting a rectangle of light inside. They both stepped inside and the lights turned on, revealing Ulric's hulking body on a table, connected to cables and computers. The screens showed the status as still repairing cellular damage, and the reformat of the main program was stilled queued. John stepped forward and began pulling cables off of him, leaving a terminal connected to Ulric's brain, so he can start up his systems without the technicians alterations. Once he had started the sequence, the doors opened again, as the lead technician stepped inside.
"Jonathan Blaze, what do you think you are doing?" he asked.
"I cold ask the same of you?" he snapped, "Does Cody's influence reach even here?"
"Now why would you say that?" he asked.
"Ulric's programming had him under Cody's beck and call. He is not a slave."
"Cody had nothing to do with this." the Head technician said, "I was following orders just like he was!"
"Who's orders?!" John roared. His hood flew down and his black hair began waving behind him as static began to build up.
"You don't need to know." he said, "Just because you are an Enhanced Human, doesn't mean you can intimidate me." John heard Ulric begin to stir behind him. A quick glance at the progress bar made him sneer.
"If you aren't going to tell me, then I have no use for you." he said. Cypher jumped when Jonathan shot out his hand and a bolt of lightning shot from his fingers, arching through the air, filling his audio sensors with a high pitched whine. The bolts finally converged in the center of the technician's chest with a snap, sending him flying backwards against the wall and he fell limp to the floor. John turned to the two as he lowered his hand.
"Let's get out of here."

Kisa tilted her head thoughtfully, taking all that in. Then she grinned. "How old are you, like 12?" She smiled teasingly and looked around. "You're not much older than everyone else. Anyway, I think you're too wrapped up in whatever's been goin on around you." She crossed her arms and tapped a fingertip against one. "Simply put, you need to get out and have some fun. And since I have it on authority that you don't race.." she sighed a bit about that, "we should get together for somethin else. You should bring Kate," she ventured. "And the mermaid.. Osiph? Maybe Kern and his roomate, Chuck would like to do something.. and I'll check with my roomate, I think her name's Sarah. Then all we gotta do is figure out what to do." Kisa grinned and tilted her head in question.

The door swung open as Ben stood still in the door frame, then swiftly grabbing Kai close in his arms. She smiled, but on the verge of tears it seemed. Such a weird feeling engulfed her. Ben's eyes glistened as he stared into hers, and such warm hands.
After such a sudden expression of love, all that she missed had returned. It all seemed to fit together, felt like nothing could go wrong anymore. Kai looked up and smirked with such glee, "Jack and Jill, they're such vintage names... okay. There cute enough~" she chuckled slightly, taking a hold of his hands in hers.
