Chuck smiled at the cute picture, but winced a little about confronting Kern; wading in his memories, he was snapped out of it when the bell rang, and the scuffle of claws and pads, filled the room as a mass exodus of furs left the room. Standing up, he shouldered his back pack, and waited for Kisa. “Do you know if we have another class next, or do we have a free period?” He tried to remember himself, but failed, only coming up with a picture of either Kisa, or Kern, both which oddly started with ‘K’. The teacher looked at him oddly, but he didn’t notice, to lost in thinking about were Kern would be at a time like this. Unfortunately Chuck didn’t know any of his classes, so he supposed he would just start at the dorm, and then go to the cafeteria, and if he wasn’t there, they would eventually cross paths.

Cypher laid on a park bench, his cloak hanging on the ground and he kept his long blonde ponytail from getting dirty by having it tucked under his arm. A few children ran past, eying the ridges on his helmet and his metal armored arms and boots, but kept going. He was surfing the internet with his eyes closed when the warm sunlight on the back of his eyelids suddenly vanished and he picked up someone small standing next to him on his bio scanner. He opened his eyes to see a small girl standing over him, her finger to her mouth in curiosity. She stood in silence until her mother ran up to her to pick her up.
"Terribly sorry, um, sir." she said, "Did my daughter wake you?" "She's curious." he said, "Do you have something to ask?" he directed his question to the girl. He sat up, letting his cloak drape around him, his ponytail flicked behind him. "What kind of helmet is that?" she asked. "It's my head." Cypher said. "What's wrong with your head?" she asked, "Why is it shaped that way?" Her mother gasped and was about to scold her when Cypher held up a hand to stop her. "There's nothing wrong with it." he said in a soft tone. "I am a Cyborg. Like a robot." Her mother now stepped forward and pulled her daughter away, trying to get away from him. "Come, Nancy. We should get going. Stay away from him." she said. Cypher stood confused. "I am no threat, Ma'am." he said. He expected her to turn and at least look at her, but she seemed frozen in place, then suddenly pushed her daughter behind her, between her and Cypher while still faced away from him. Cypher leaned over to see what she was so afraid of and he saw a rather large, black Panther, standing on the path in front of the woman. The Panther lunged at them, but Cypher appeared in front of them and batted the cat away with the back of his hand. As the Panther fell, he noticed what seemed to be a belt, and scraps of cloth around it's mid section. A quick bio scan revealed what he was surprised to find, an ID chip in it's paw. The woman screamed as the cat lunged again, but this time Cypher caught it, wrapping his small arms around the Panther's neck, then somehow flipped it onto it's back, hitting it on the head and knocking it out. "Are you two alright?" he asked. The woman and her daughter slowly picked themselves from the ground. "Y-Yes, thank you." she said. After his fight, his cloak was now draped behind him, and Cypher's badge could be seen on his belt, "Thank you, Officer." As the two ran off, Cypher scanned the chip in the paw of the Panther, his eyes going wide in surprise. The Panther's name was Eryial.

"Ummm... I have another class, but I think you're free." She was a little reluctant to admit that she .. sort of .. wasn't completely truthful when she said they only had this class together. Though she couldn't really remember if she'd said that aloud, so.. Anyway. She picked up her stuff and followed along behind him out to the hall, and then stopped. "So. Um. See ya next class." Kisa smiled a little and went on her way. Self defense class. Ugh. For someone who didn't like to be touched as a general rule by people she didn't know, classes like this were hell. She trudged to the room and situated herself in the back, nearly huddled into herself and praying for a 'hello everyone, this is orientation day,' class.

Chuck gave a small wave and a nod, and watched Kisa walk away. Smiling he turned after she passed out of view, and head for the dorm. He had a hunch that kern would be there, so at a brisk pace he figured he could stop by there first, and if he was wrong the Kern wasn’t there he would still have time to peek into the Cafeteria.
Walking down the hall he felt kind of lonely, without someone to talk to, and by that he meant Kisa, but he was glad to have some time to roll over what he was going to say in his mind. He guessed the best way to start would be sorry, or maybe I’ve been thinking. Pulling out his pass key, Chuck slid it into the reader, the faint click letting him know it was opening. The door slid open with a hiss, and the dark air-conditioned room looked empty. Sighing he walked in to the dark room, he guessed he would just have to go check out the Café and see if Kern was there. __________________________________________________ _____________ Kern watched Chuck enter silently, and stood up. Not saying anything he behind Chuck while he was opening his dresser, and with both hands delivered a blindingly painful attack to the base of his skull. Catching him, he pulled him over to the bed and bound his hands and feet. “Lets talk” he said with a lop sided grin on his face. |

With a slight bounce in his step, Donta raced back to his class, and found it odd that the place was still empty. He double checked his schedule, which was now changed on his arm device to show something different. Osiph had changed it to keep him straight. Before he was still looking at the previous day's schedule. In a slight panic, he raced down the hall and rushed into another classroom, being a sort of a dojo.
"Hello class, sorry I'm slightly late." Donta said. A gentle beep made him look down to his arm device to see Osiph holding a last minute email from the instructor for this class, of which he was supposed to be an assistant instructor. The email told him to take charge, because he woke up with a cold and wouldn't be available. Donta sighed and continued, "Unfortunately, your regular instructor has become sick so I will be taking over the class. Welcome to Self Defense." He saw the cadets take a seat on the mat, the humans seemingly nervous to be fighting ferals. In the back, Donta spotted Kisa. "Today won't be too harsh." he said, "I'm not really one for fighting hand to hand. But the instructor emailed me his lesson plan so bear with me while I try to follow it." He read the lesson plan over on his arm device then locked it so any accidental screen touches during combat would so anything. "So to start, I'll need a volunteer." he said. Donta looked around the room and saw most of the students look away. He heard someone whisper that no one would want to go up against a member of STALKER, and other whisperings about the rumor going around about him being Donta. "No one?"

Ulric was glad when he got the message from Angela saying that she had made up with Farkas and now was going to be staying there with him. When she got a moment she would come over to his place and get her bag of clothes. Smiling Ulric had respond for her to take her time and not worry about her things, that if she really needed him to he could drop it off on his way out later. Speaking of later he checked his internal clock and realized he was going to be late meeting Cypher at the peer for that big tag team match they had scheduled this evening. Shutting everything down he grabbed up his cloak wrapping it around his huge form he left his home, engaging the security system as he left. Taking to the alley ways and back streets he began to make his way to the peer, taking yet another different way from when he last went to the fight; making it harder for people to track him.
Getting to the meeting spot he realized that Cypher was no were to be seen nor was he anywhere within range of his scanners. This was odd because Cypher had the always been on time, even early most of the times and now here he was late and with no sign of having been here recently. Ulric waited around for about 20 minutes before he decided he would go onto the fight without him, figuring that he could just catch up later. Getting to the appropriate building he passes by the guards and entered looking around at the crowd, noticing a lot of new faces. "So glad you could make it. Where's your partner?" the small Asian man asked as he peered around looking for him. "He is running a bit late so I came on ahead and figured I could do some small matches before he gets here." he replies with a shrug. The man nodded looking about a bit nervously, "My my my Ulric, longtime no see huh? old friend." If Ulric had any fur on his neck still it would have been standing on end when he turned around and came eye to eye with Cody, a very different Cody. "Looks like I'll have to test my new powers on just you and not your friend. All well beggars can't be choosers." he smirks as he pulls his fist back and Ulric feels himself go flying back and impacting with the steel wall. |

Kisa squirmed. Surprised as she was to see Ren there, she so did not want to get up in front of the class. Then again, she didn't want to leave him hanging either. She seemed to have a thing about that, come to think about it. She looked around and squirmed again and started to scoot forward to get up when a brown haired boy stood and made his way to the front. Kisa settled back down on the mat in relief. She liked Ren and all but if she didn't have to call attention to herself...
Drake grinned confidently and stopped in front of Ren, dark blue eyes meeting the feral's through unruly cut hair, quietly spoken enough to identify himself as being calm, but not timid. "Ren, isn't it?" He cocked his head slightly at a couple whispers that he was about to get his butt kicked and grinned again. Most of the students here didn't know he was enhanced and he preferred to keep it that way. |

Leany and Farkas's mom silently watched as the two got into the van and with a last wave towards them disappeared in the busy city roads. Leany let out a sigh.
"Their bond is stronger than you thought. You don't seem that disappointed either." said mom. "And still.. I can't give up him. I doubt that i'll be able to forget him." "Yes i understand. Now come inside, we will see him again." said Farkas's mother and walked inside the building. Leany followed her, but turned back in the doorway. "Ah, we forgot to celebrate his birthday." Farkas liked the idea about the bathing suit, so he decided to stop by a shopping center on the way to the harbor. "It's not like a travel around the world, but still a vacation. Let's go shopping." he said with a smile. Both of them needed a little recreation and he would do anything to make Angela happy. He quickly grabbed a bathing trunk and threw it into the shopping cart that faithfully followed behind them. After that he helped Angela choosing a bathing suit, then shopping the other necessary stuff together. When they were done they packed the stuff into the van and left the shopping center. It didn't take much time to get to the bay from the city. At the harbor a scientist already waited for them. "If you'd like you can go ahead, the island surface has a beautiful scenery and there is a mansion built there for staying overnight properly. Food and necessary equipments are on the ship already. We won't be coming until tomorrow anyway, we still have some things to take care of, but you two go and enjoy yourselves." he said in a hurry as he showed them the ship. It was moderate sized cruiser, silently floating in its air-cushions. "I have to go now, but the captain and the shipcrew will help you pack onboard if you brought something. See you tomorrow." he said and ran away constantly looking at his watch and almost tripping over a concrete jut. "This man always rushing somewhere. Does he ever get tired?" said Farkas as he locked the van after getting their bags. "Are you ready?" he asked Angela with a smile, one hand full of bags another over her hips. The time was getting close to noon when a loud voice started speaking. "The first cyborg is about to be finished. Please gather at the examination room." it repeated a few times and gone silent. Serene looked at the old scientist who nodded and led her to the specified room. The pod was already transferred there surrounded by overjoyed scientists. "Bio-sustain liquids has already being drew out. It just a matter of a few seconds to see the firstborn." explained a younger scientist happily. Just as soon as he mentioned it the pod slowly opened and a female human body appeared. Several cables were attached to her but when the body slowly started to get transported out the pod they dropped down themselves after each other. Serene went there and noticed that the whole body was covered in some sort of really thin layer. She looked back to the scientist who nodded to her. She grabbed the layer gently at the neck and slowly ripped it apart, then gently pulled it away from the face. It was completely modeled after a human female. She had light-purple hair, long enough to reach her shoulders, petite body with clean white skin. Serene was amazed by the perfection of the bio-technology, even the body and face proportions were right. They could even make the ears resembling to the human ones. Not to mention her body heat was just like a humans. "Wait.. Silence.." said Serene with a serious look. The scientist quietly watched her placing her hand on the neck of the cyborg. After ten seconds of silence Serene looked at them worriedly. "Her body temperature is dropping. Do something, quickly." she said and held her towards the scientists. They quickly grabbed her and placed her on a bed nearby while others brought all kinds of medical equipments. "Quickly, hold the queue. If its some internal problem the second will get it too." ordered the old scientist while watching over the scan data. "Something is wrong, the living parts can't get accustomed to the metal parts. This never happened in the simulations." he said and turned to one of the labcoats. He instructed him something and got an equipment into his hands. He quickly put a few coin-like items on her body and started the computer. "Just as i thought. We're lucky we built the thing anyways. Quickly get her into the warm bath." he ordered and waved to Serene to follow him. "You see, i was afraid of this happening. To explain it in a nutshell, since we use living cells, not only their personality is individual, but their build as well. Thinking about this we didn't want the risk of one that might feel bad in its body, so we created this thing." he said as he showed a big tank of bluish liquid. "Upon creating this without any proof of this happening we just named it the warm bath. Inside the liquids keeps the body constantly on forty Celsius degree, making it react like it has a fever, as a diversion to the problem we have now. Well, in this case, we only need a little more time to get the cells accustomed to the metal parts and she will be fine." he explained while watching the others slowly placing her into the tank. Serene sighed in relief. "Okay, continue the queue. You wanted a second buddy, right? Let's get started." he said with a smile and walked away. Serene placed her hand on the glass of the tank and stared the girl inside. "Welcome." she whispered and then followed the scientist. |
