Ben led her to the tree as they started to put lights up, he paused? "Kai, when I tell you to...duck ok?" "Oh no..." he picked up a snowball and it was headed straight for Farkas. "Now!" Kai ducked behind the tree, and let out a chuckle. "We declare war on you all!" He yelled. Then they ran behind a snow pile, hand in hand. "What were you thinking?" her breaths were short and deep. Another laugh came through. "Thanks... I guess a little fun won't be so bad." Kai started forming snowballs, and placing them in a pile.

Angela could not help but to double over with laughter at how Farkas got caught in the back of the head. "You can't do that to my man and get away with it!" she calls out as she takes up position behind Farkas, using his large frame as a shield. "Take this!" she calls out and launches her own ball at the top of Ben's head, making him duck back down. "Come on Farkas!" she says grabbing him and heading to the storage shed for cover. She leans against the wall, a little breathless from the excitment more then the sprint. She pulls Farkas close and kisses him rather passionately, caught up in the excitement "I love you." she said full of emotion then turns back to the fight.

Kate was first to see the flying snow. She yanked Donta's arms rather hard to pull him behind a snowbank, where he landed on his hands and knees over her. With the snow obscuring the other's view, she pulled his head down and kissed him. Donta smiled, pulling her up to a kneeling position, as his mother came to hide with him. Cypher, stood rather still in the middle of the fire wondering what was happening.
"Cypher! Get over here!" Donta yelled. He came and ducked behind the snowbank with them, still confused.
"Why are you throwing snow at your friends?" he asked.
"Because it's fun, Cypher." Kate said as she launched one over the snowbank. Donta looked up and saw that it caught Angela in the side of the face.
"It's fun?" he asked, seemingly perplexed. He shrugged, picked up a pile of snow, which turned out to be attached to a rather large clump, and he launched the heavy projectile upwards in a wide arc. As they were waiting for the snow bomb to fall, Rane sniffed and her laughter slowly stopped and the smile faded from her face as she looked around for the source of the scent. Her eyes finally fell to Donta's arm when he threw a snowball, and she spotted the blood on the sleeve of his jacket. Donta didn't realize his wound had opened.
"Donta, why are you bleeding?" She asked. Kate stopped throwing snowballs and her eyes became wide when she saw it too. Donta stopped and looked down at his jacket, just as the mound of snow Cypher threw landed on Farkas' head.
"What? I'm fine." he said.
"Let me see." Rane demanded. Donta reluctantly pulled his arm from the sleeve of his jacket, showing the bandage he tried to tie fallen an inch from the wound, and the blood stained fur could be seen.
"What happened?" she demanded.
"I cut myself in training." he said, making up a lie." she said. Before he knew it, she had grabbed his wrist, and dragged him inside. Kate followed and sat quietly at the common kitchen table as Rane dug out her medical bag and began properly dressing his wound. She remained silent as she did so, which worried Donta even more.

Ulric stood a bit in the back ground watching the others as they laughed and played together, his one eye scanning the area and taking readings that he was storing in his memory for later. He took note of each person there, running scans on their strengths and weaknesses, this would be information that Cody would want and need for later. Though watching Angela run and smile brought back memories of a time when he watched her when she was a little girl. Those memories and images clouded his mind for a minute, overriding his current command system, "Lil' Angel..." he said softly as his organic eye formed a single tear before his new system took over and he whipped it away without a second thought. He watched as Donta was dragged into the house by his mother, taking note of the scent of fresh blood. Ulric continued to watch and record information to transmit to Cody later.

Angela smiled and laughed as she threw snowballs back and forth with the others, catching one in the face from Kate. She was about to retaliate when she got another one from Ben and Kai. This was the most fun she had ever had in a very long time; she lost herself in the fun not thinking about any of the other problems and stresses that were on her mind. She leaned into Farkas as he called it quits, they had surrendered to Ben and Kai, though at the time she had not noticed the fact that Donta and the others had disappeared. The sensation of Farkas’s hand on her hip was very pleasant, making her warm despite the cold air and wetness from the snow. She leaned closer into his warmth, breathing deep of his familiar scent her whole body reacting to his comforting presence. Entering the warm house she noticed Donta, at the kitchen table with his mother and Kate. The tension in the air was so thick it was almost tangible, she froze for a second before pulling at Farkas, “Lets go up stairs. I don’t think now is the right time to interfere with this.” She whispers to him as she leads him upstairs to their apartment. Once up there she leads him to the couch and sits him down, “Ok now I have a special present for you” she says giving him another long kiss, pulling away she laughed at the look on his face, “Not that kind of present. Maybe later…” She says with a wink laughing a bit as she gets up and walks to the closet opening it up and taking out rather large brown package. “Now I know how you like to tinker with things….especially things that can be used in mischief. So I was searching online found this and had quite a time tracking this down in working condition, but I hope you like it.” She says with a smile handing him the large brown package then sitting on the end of the couch waiting for him to open it.
(When he opens it this is what he will see Farkas's Present)

Ben led Kai into the house wrapping his arms about her in an effort to keep her warm. Going into the kitchen he saw and felt the same way as Angela so he led her up to his apartment for some hot chocolate. He opens the door and steps aside like a gentleman allowing her to enter first, he steers her toward the couch, then he went into the kitchenette that he had and placed two cups in the microwave with some hot water to heat up. When they were done he added the chocolate powder and brought them out to join her on the couch. Handing her one carefully, “its hot” he warned as he sat beside her, “So what did you ask Santa to bring you?” he asked with a smile.

Farkas and Angela had seemed to surrender. It was getting a bit cold. Ben's arms wrapped around her was so warming. They all headed for the house, and the slight scent of blood was a little uneasy. Leading her towards his couch Ben entered the kitchen, and the hot chocolate exited with him. "Thanks." she smiled a bit. “So what did you ask Santa to bring you?” he returned the smile. "Nothing really, I'd love it to be a better year..." a slight pause, "...and- you." She looked down, then set her mug aside. Kai pulled him in and kissed his lips gently.

Cypher had remained outside until the others had gone inside, then approached Serene who was stood staring at her work on the tree. He hadn't paid her much attention before, but as a fellow cyborg, perhaps they would have some thinks in common. A common communications protocol, so to speak.

He stepped up beside her and looked over the tree with her. She had each bulb spaced the same exact distance from each other, maximizing the coverage taking into account the number of bulbs available. It was effecient, to say the least.
"You did a good job, Serene." Cypher said, "Perhaps we should also retire. The external temperature is below optimal operating conditions." he paused, trying a smile even if it did look synthetic, "Besides, It's really cold." He glanced behind him to Ulric who seemed to stand there spaced out.

Inside, Rane had just finished dressing Donta's wound and went upstairs to thier room without saying much else, leaving Kate and Donta alone in the common kitchen.
"Whatever I did, I'm sorry." Donta said.
"You lied." she said, "To your mother at that."
"What?"
"What is your problem?" she yelled, "Can't you see we're worried about you? You come downstairs with a bandage around your arm the day after you're exposed and we have to say nothing to make you feel comfortable!"
"You knew?"
"Of course I knew!" she said, "You're mother had no idea until now. How do you think she feels now?"
"I'm sorry."
"What happened anyway?" she asked after a short silence.
"Yes, explain this to me." Rane said, appearing in the doorway with a ripped pillow. She must have seen the mess left up there. Donta completely forgot to clean it up.
"I think it was a sniper." he said, "Cypher got him though."
"You were shot?" Kate gasped.
"I'm fine."
"So now it's dangerous here?" Rane asked, "Do we have to move again? The whole world probably knows where we live now after that cameraman got away!"
"We don't have to move." Donta said.
"Yeah it's safe here, Miss Rane." Came a voice from the common living room. Jan and Nina were sitting on the couch watching the news, "They found the body of the sniper at his rifle after Cypher reported it via email. The threat is gone."
"What about the picture?" she asked, coming into the living room.
"That was also destroyed." he said. Cypher told me he hacked it through a wireless connection and deleted the photo."
"Are you sure?"
"Yep." he said as he munched on a handful of popcorn. The screen showed police footage of the snipers position nearby, a hotel room in a mess. The rifle was still perched on the windowsill, next to a case. The camera grazed over the case, but Donta saw what was on it. A bright yellow biohazard sign on the front and inside small, dimly glowing vials. Next, the camera showed a small workspace where gunpowder and empty shells could be seen, along with an odd machine with a vial plugged into the side. An officer was fiddling with it, and it came apart in his hands. From the device, a bullet fell out and clattered across the table. Donta watched as panic began to fill his heart along with adrenaline. He added it up in his head. The bullet that had grazed him must have been poisioned. But with what, was the question. Donta turned away and slowly made his way upstairs, leaving the rest to continue watching. For some reason, he felt that Cody was behind this and if so, he knew one thing he would use to poision him. He just didn't want to believe it. Although it may have been an early Christmas gift, Donta would rather have coal.

Ben was taken by surprise as Kai planted a kiss on him. Closing his eyes as he leaned into to it a bit his own mug set down on the table forgotten as he seemed to lose himself to her lips. His hands came up and cupped her face, then ran gently through her hair before he pulled back breaking the kiss. A little breathless, he said smiling "Well then who is the one getting the present?" his face was obviously red from blushing. His hand running through his hair in a nervous habit, before moving to stroke the hair back from her own face. "I can only hope this is not some wonderful dream, because it would suck to have an alarm go off and wake me up."
