Kai sat gently back on the couch. She was already pleased that he was here, gifts didn't matter right now, just knowing he was home and safe is all she ever wanted. "The bracelet is a small price to pay to make you happy." Kai looked to the side innocently, obviously knowing there was more to what he had said. She followed him with her eyes again, watching him pull out two little outfits. Such adorable things, she giggled quietly under her breath. "Oh the little boy will be a trouble maker thats for sure." Kai responded as she rubbed her belly.

Angela buried her face in her hands, finding it hard to meet Farkas's eyes; afraid she might break down and tell him everything. "That was Ulric. He was trying to lecture me and I'm cranky and sore from yesterday. So I lost my temper, I seem to be falling back into some bad habits." she chuckles weakly her pain and exhaustion evident. Sighing she looks up at him "I'm sorry if I scared you..." taking in the breakfast tray she smiled again, "You even made me breakfast. It looks and smells delicious." she reached out with her natural arm and stroked his face gently, "I love you. Just bare with me while I sort somethings out."

Ben reached over and stroked her swollen belly his smile growing as he felt one of the babies kick. "It looks like they know their Da..." he began but stopped because even though he thought of himself as the babies father, he was not sure if she felt the same.

Ulric took the paper and left the warehouse. Blending into the shadows once more as he went through his plans. He was going to fight in this league in order to make her face whatever demons she was running from. Plus it gave him a chance to try and shut them down, a lot of people were being killed over it. Angela had yet to lose so she did know what became of those who lost.

Ulric returned to the old abandoned subway station that he had made his home, "Now to track down Serene." he says entering the train car relic that was his main home. Sitting down at a desk in front of a screen he connected to the net and went in search of Serene.

Cypher tracked Ulric in the shadows and from the rooftops to an old abandoned subway station where he saw him enter an old train car and jack into the net.

"Now to track down Serene." he said, and took a seat at an old desk to access the net. Cypher found he couldn't get a wireless signal underground and couldn't trace Ulric's movements across the net without a connection. It seemed the only one available was the one Ulric was using. Disappointed, he crouched low on top of a trashcan next to a pillar facing away from the train car and out of sight. He kept under his cloak to stay hidden from any sensors Ulric might have deployed. He wondered if Serene was indeed working with Ulric now. Last he heard, the two were at each other's throats. Since Ulric had led Donta to his death, Cypher had come the closest to hate as a cyborg could towards another being. He admitted right now he wanted to jump out and kill Ulric for what he did, but his mission was a priority. If he was looking for Serene and they were working together, something had changed since then. Cypher just had to find out what.

Her smile grew also as Ben had reached out. Placing her hands upon his, but the moment his words escaped his mouth it was like everything was in slow motion. Kai's expression faded fast. Looking down on him, she only felt guilt. She had grasped him once again, after hearing something like that anyone could feel this pain.

Vyne quietly listened to the white haired man and looked for the forms right after he mentioned it. The local databases and printings could be easily accessed through the academy's wireless network, so it was only a blink of an eye for her to fill the needed forms and send them right away.
"Thank you very much. I already sent them to the address written on the form, which is probably yours. I included mine in case you need it." she said smiling though she noticed that something was bothering him about her.
"In any case, i hope i'll be able to help you out sometime in the near future repaying your kindness. I leave now, you're probably busy. Thank you for your time." she said in a elegant manner and faced towards the dorms and walked away.
"I wonder who he meant by old friend. I'm doing pretty good so far, i shouldn't let anyone get in my way now." she thought as she reached her room and went inside. She locked the door and fell on the bed.

Serene disconnected from the network, letting Vyne rest. Even though her body couldn't be really tired, she felt exhausted. Irritated more likely.
"This going to take a long while it seems. Anyway, Serene is doing her part of the job, Serene wonders what Ulric is doing now. She left the building in stealth, hoping that nobody noticed her. She couldn't use her own account on the network without Farkas noticing it in the house, so she had to retreat to her own hideout. As soon as she reached her place she connected to the network. She received a notice about someone looking for her on the network. Serene knew that it was Ulric, and logging in here will make sure that he will know that where she is right now. She sighed and waited for him to make contact.

Farkas was still worried, but he trusted her words. Though he wanted her to know that he would help her in any way he could, but he wasn't sure that it'd be wise to mention that, see how she lost temper against Ulric. He didn't like the idea of her having contant with that traitor, but he was someone from her past and probably that's why she kept him in contact.
"Let's eat and rest a little more. After that we should take a look on your arm and leg. It won't take much time." he said forcing a smile on his face.
"If you don't feel well we can postpone today's dinner at mom's place. I'm sure they'd understand." he added as he helped her sit up on the bed comfortable to eat.

Seth pulled out his screen as she left and read over her application form. The information was pretty vacant, but it was expected from a cyborg. She didn't really have a birth date or next of kin.

But he really needed to get on top of forming a support team for the STALKERS. He reviewed the rest of the applications, not surprised to see Kate's there. He knew it would annoy Leon to no end, but he approved Kate's application for the command position. Vyne seemed okay for medical, but as for mechanics the selection was thin and inexperienced.

He opened a new email and began typing. He wanted Farkas to work up here but he wasn't sure if he would come, leaving Angela at home. He could always live off campus like Kate, but he was already the manager of the apartment building. He hoped that keeping that place up was not too much to keep Farkas busy.

Subject: Job Opportunity

Long time no see. I don't think you would go for this, but I really need you to listen to what I have to say. I would like you to read the job offer I have attached and hope you accept it. I think you would be perfect for the job of TAM Mechanic for our STALKER team.

Besides, there's something else here that you may find interesting. I can't really say what it is in an email or phone call. You would have to see for yourself. Kate is attending the Academy here and has been accepted for the command position on the Stalker team. She can accommodate you getting to and from work as she has access to a gate in your building.

Even if you decline, I feel you should still see what's here. You at least deserve that. Take Angela too, but no one else. I'll explain everything once you're here.

“Yeah I wouldn’t mind, and also…Sorry for what I said earlier, that wasn’t right." Kern said. Ren nodded as Osiph tapped Kate on the shoulder.

"Kate, you have a new email." she said, "You've been accepted as Command assistant for the Stalker team. Congratulations!"
"Thanks!" Kate said, smiling, "Ren isn't that great! I'll be working with you then!"
"Great!" he said. Still something was nagging at him as if something was familiar about her. Her and the mermaid. By the way she was acting, it seemed like she already knew him, or it could be his imagination.

He finished his food and stood up, taking his tray with him.
"It was nice to meet you all." he said, "I guess I'll see you later. My email address is in the stations directory if you want to contact me. We should get together and do something sometime." Kate nodded.
"Sure thing!" she said, "See you later, Ren." She waited until Ren had left the room before turning back to Kern and Kisa.
"Okay, that was awkward." she said, "Let me explain. That was really Donta but he has amnesia. He can't remember who he is."
"What?" Osiph gasped, "Really?"
"Yes." she said, looking up at Kern and Kisa, "You two have heard of the disease going around that makes humans superhuman and ferals revert into animals, right? He's the cure! Because he has amnesia, his brain is producing something that can cure it!"
"It's because he's a hybrid?" Osiph asked.
"Yes." Kate said.
"But he doesn't remember you, does he?" she asked.
"No." she said somberly, "And he can't get his memories back either or he stops producing the cure."
"I'm sorry, Kate." Osiph said, "I know you loved him."
"I still do." she said, "I'm not giving up. I'm going to try again."
"I see." Osiph said. Kate looked back to Karn and Kisa.
"You two have to keep this to yourselves, alright? Everyone thinks Donta is dead and it should stay that way for his protection. He is Ren now, okay?"

Angela smiled though inside she felt terrible, like the lowest being on the planet. She hated herself for lying to Farkas, even more so because she knew he would smile and accept it. She wanted so much to tell him about everything that she was going through. How she felt lost and confused.... How losing Donta reminded her too much of the lost of her parents..... How she wanted so much to have that sense of a complete family with Farkas and it both pained and angered her that that the ignorance of other people prevented it.... There was so much she wanted to tell him but feared how he might think or feel about her after. That he might even not love her anymore....

So with a smile on her face she sat up in bed and began to eat, " No. I miss your family, as I am sure that you do. It would be nice to see them again. Plus I don't won't to ruin your special day." giving him another smile as she ate the breakfast. "After I eat we can fix my arm and leg. Then I'll call into work and take a few days off, spend sometime together. Just the two of us." looking over to him for approval.

Ben held Kai close but said nothing of his feelings. Already feeling bad for causing any unwanted stress. Taking a deep breath and smiling he pulls her back again so that he could look her in the eyes, " Let's go get something to eat. I know this great spot that has the best pizza." he says trying to get her to smile.

Ulric smiled as he located Serene,"It is good to speak with you again and to know you are unharmed." he said to her over the connection. "I have made some discoveries on my end reguarding an underground fighting league. I believe this could some how lead us to Cody...." his voice trailed off as one of his smaller security units picked up something. He began to activate some more systems to try and get some more info on what tripped his system as he continued," How are things going for you?"

Kisa opened her mouth to say something but caught Kate's eye and shut it again. Oh how some serious long-winded explanations had better be coming after this. She settled for a neutral 'huh' and studied Ren silently for a minute. "That can cause its own problems I guess." She looked at Kern questioningly as he moved and then at the yellow critter and sneered at Chuck without thinking about it when he turned away, just leaving Kern hanging. Well, at least she's in good company, she thought. Outcasts were generally a closer group once they got to know each other.

She waved slightly as Ren left, still rather uneasy about something but figured it would work itself out. She chewed on her inner cheek lightly as she listened to Kate and then held up her hand slightly. "Um.. I'm not .. wait. So.. Ren is really someone else and .. he can't know it. But you know it. And .. I'm guessing, Seth. Which means Leon does and that's why Seth is guard dogging the guy?" She nodded a little, not really knowing much about this Donta guy but she's not going to admit to ignorance when she can look it up later. "The rest of his team? Do they know, since you used to live together? I get why he told you.. because you're in love with R..Donta. And.. I get why you told Osiph there.. because you obviously are close friends." She tilted her head, looking confused for a moment and then shook her head. "But I don't get why you just told us. I mean if this is a big bad secret. Seeing as I just met you what, 10 minutes ago? ..Not sayin I'm gonna blow your secret open, just.. why did you think I wouldn't?" She pauses, her mind jumping tracks. "Ren doesn't race, does he?"

Kate saw that she had obviously confused the girl and took a breath to clear her own thoughts.
"Ren seems to like you guys." she said, "I can tell. It's the same look he gave his other friends back in school. He had lived with his secret his entire life and is very wary of who he makes his friends. Even if he doesn't live with the secret that he's a hybrid anymore, he still seems like he's used to being cautious about trusting people." she paused for a moment, glancing at Osiph, "It's been all over the net because that bastard Cody exploited him because he hates Ferals and thought he was one."

"Everyone on the Stalker team should know it's Donta by now." Osiph said, "I believe Seth is in charge of keeping this secret." Osiph said, "I also detect several conversations around us with this same topic at it's center. Even the net is beginning to show signs of gossip that he has been spotted here." She paused for a moment then smiled, "And no he doesn't race. Not that we know of." It seemed like she had recorded Kisa's confused ramblings and tried to address anything Kate had left out, which was majority of it.

With lunch now over, Ren was feeling a little stiff, yet his schedule dragged him towards the lecture hall on the same level as the mess hall. He stepped inside after straightening his uniform, finding Seth standing behind the large desk. Ren looked around as he walked inside, the room resembling a theater.

"Ah, you made it." he said, "Feeling better?"
"Yeah, just had lunch with Kate and her friends." he said. Seth's brow twitched.
"How was it?" he asked nervously.
"She's really nice. Her mermaid is really polite too. It was slightly awkward." he said, "She seemed familiar somehow though."
"Really?" Seth asked, "Well, that can happen sometimes."
"I suppose."
"Anyway, let's begin." he said activating the massive screen. On it appeared the schematics for the standard TAM. He turned to the class while Ren took a seat at the side of the desk and looked up to the class of two hundred.
