((EDIT: DAMMIT! I always post at the most inconvenient of times. Okay, editing to fit Spartoi's post.)) ((EDIT: Edited. =p)) Tae ignored Andrei's shouted warnings for the most part. The legend...it was fascinating to say the least, comforting at most. If she only ever found on of the other five, it was going to be the Liger, and she'd be damned if she sat by while Varrick dragged him away to do God knew what. "If he dies, none of us are good to anyone, anyway!" she shouted over her shoulder. True enough, she could already feel the blood dripped down her leg, staining her otherwise perfect white fur bright red. She could feel her shattered collar bone shifting around agonizingly, but she couldn't imagine it would be worse than losing the key to Seira. "Follow if you want, but we can't let Varrick take him!" Of course, she still had no idea what she would do. She could try attacking, like she'd done before. Her hooves were hard as diamond and heavy as lead, and she was fairly certain she could even crush a few Goliath skulls. But that wouldn't last long. Even now, she was flapping lower to the ground, and speed would be an issue with a wounded wing... A wing! She had a wingspan of over twenty feet, and though her wings looked graceful and delicate from a distance, they were her greatest asset. Large, thick and powerful, they provided her a decent, if impossible shield from most danger. If the Zephyr on the street decided to plow through her, she wouldn't stand a chance. But...she might be able to handle a barrage of bullets, it only for a little while. And now, of course, Ichiro was bugging her. As if he hadn't just given the lecture of a lifetime about saving the rebel. She rolled her eyes, though it was good natured. "I won't fight it, then," she said. "Not right now. I'll get the Liger...and the others out of the way, if I can, then I'll come back." She saw he'd gone over to fight that scary truck thing, and for a moment, her heart was in her throat. "Don't try to destroy it," she said. "Just distract it until I can get the others away." Again, she moved without conscious thought, suddenly finding herself hovering over the Liger's body. She was careful to avoid the odd, smoke-like gas. She'd seen what it had done to him...But there was a girl down there, who looked her own age, and presumably Zoan as well. She looked to be with Ichiro, the two of them taking on the monster vehicle. Only two? Both so small? She'd have to return to help. Was the girl one of the five? Was she going to perform a double-reconnaissance mission? In any case, it would be easier for them both to get away if she first attacked some of the approaching Goliaths. With a bellow she hoped sounded terrifying (admittedly, an angry winged horse wasn't the most frightening fairy tale), she dove suddenly, pawing the air below her, galloping low over three of the Goliaths approaching the girl and the rebel. As she did, she called out, "Any Zoans in the area need to leave or fight! Quickly, while there's a...uh...distraction." Well, it wasn't the most rousing speech ever given. But she hoped it got the point across.

Echda smiled just slightly as the helmet bounced away, mouthing a thanks to him as he rushed forward. If it were to be the final fight, her last chance to use a blade, she could die happy, loosing to such a formidable, well trained foe... and friend. She could feel the pain coming in now, the bullet wounds burning like the sun. But she couldn't focus on that, she had to beat Axel. Echda's weapon flashed left and right as Axel swung, using the littlest strength she had to deflect the weapon strikes to her sides, though she kept moving back. Quick foot work kept her from being stabbed twice. With every strike, she could feel a tiny bit of the charge leap into her arm, giving her hand a tingling sensation as they fought. With one of the slices, she chose to go on the offensive. It came from the upper left, and took a somewhat easy move to knock it away, her blade locking lightly with his. She thrust her body forward, leading with a hard knee to the gut. Their blades still together, she spun and ducked in the same motion, using the force to thrust him off to the right. Her spin caused her to end up on her knee, clutching the wound in the lower side. A split second of recovery, and she was back up, holding the sword defensively again. "Come on Axel!" She yelled over the chaos, "You're holding back!"

He was puzzled, these injured Zoans, easily able to escape, were running back to help the most insignificant of the species. It was warming to Andrei's cold and self-serving heart. Now though the Pegasus was hovering near the Liger, which was presumably as heavy as Andrei was, if not more then more. He knew exactly what he should do. His bloodied paws tracked spots across the black asphalt as they carried him with a swift fury towards the Liger and the Pegasus. He slid to a stop and met Tae's eyes with a warm and honest stare, "Take the Liger, and take him as stealthily as you can back to my cabin. If any others wish to retreat I'll make sure that they reach their destination." As he said that he used his strength to lift the Liger onto Tae's injured back gently. From there he turned to face the numerous Goliaths and the imposing Zephyr tank. He had a plan, but he would need some help, and a large load of luck. "Ichiro! Girl! I'm going to need your help. I have a plan that may disable the tank, but for now, just keep distracting it while Tae get's the rebel out of here!" barked the large wolf, knowing that the Goliath's luckily couldn't understand his Zoan howls. He noticed three of them charging against him now. He turned and bared his large teeth, and the lead soldier began what would be another bloody moment for the Goliath forces. He dodged the bullet with a sidestep and pounced on the left soldier. His already filthily blood-drenched claws made short work of his facemask and skull. To put the nail in the coffin he shoved his right claw into his neck and used the force to sling the block of meat and armor at the nearest Goliath. The metal suits collided with a heavy bang. It was at this time the spearmen decided to return to check on how the agent had reduced the Liger to a sleeping pile of muscle and fur. They were outraged to see that it was not there. Franticly they searched for it, apparently he was much more important than a black beast ripping their comrades to shreds. Regardless, his unrelenting rage continued with the displacement of the next's spinal column. The second Goliath had gotten in a good punch though, and one of Andrei's stomach muscles felt bruised and swollen. He could and probably did have a broken rib, but he continued. With two down, he wanted to get a little personal. With a powerful pounce he jumped at the last one, and mid-flight, he shifted back to his human form. The knife he had puled found its mark, and it went all the way through the Goliath's neck. Miraculously, he still breathed, and with his last breaths, he put a hole into Andrei's off-hand leg, which so happened to be his left. He removed the knife and sent it back through the front of the armored head. The slowly cooling body bled onto his hands, and he tasted it with a sickening grin. Quickly though, he took a small bottle from his jacket, and poured a clear liquid onto his own bleeding wound. Clenching it, he ran to take cover behind a nearby hovercar. After he dressed the would, he had to hope that Tae had gotten the rebel far enough, and that his plan works.

| "Woah!!" Something told Musa that he should have turned around, and boy was he glad he did. Just in the nick of time, Musa ducked his body down with lightning like reflexes from the Goliath's knife. The jerk was probably waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. How nice of him... With his bulkier body, Musa shot his left foot up from his kneeling position, crushing the Goliath's jaw, and sending him easily off of his feet into the air. It was pretty funny. Seeing the dazed soldier sprawled on the ground pathetically. What things worse for the poor sap was that a big baboon was hopping around, hooting it's lungs out with amusement. "Haha! That's what you deserve, you filthy pig!" The mandrill hopped onto the soldier with his heavy body, pinning the jackass's arms down with his feet. Glancing his small eyes down the road from the rooftop, Musa felt the fur on his back stand up in fear. That thing?!?! Was here!?? "Ughh!!" The baboon wiped his face in defeat. What next? What next!?! ....The Pegasus was what was next. She arrived right on cue! Somewhat dumb of her in his opinion too. The Goliaths were trying to capture her. She was just makin' their jobs even easier.... "Well, well.." He began to scratch his chin in wonder as he spectated the circumstances of the events. More, and more people kept joining the fray. That black wolf, the eagle boy zoan, that mysterious, yet very cute girl, the pegasus, and now that commanding Goliath blondie, and his tank...To make things even more interesting, you throw in a seemingly tranquilized liger who happened to be the center of this swirling madness. Things were terrific. "Ok, ok, ok, now let's see if we can do something about that big black tank over there..." The baboon took the RPG from the Goliath's back, and prepared to load it by dropping a grenade within the cannon. "Now, how do you shoot this damn thing?" Shuffling it around in search for directions, Musa felt the Goliath wiggling around within his feet's grasp. "Hey..." The soldier kept wiggling annoyingly, so with irritation, the monkey bonked the Goliath on the head with the tip of the RPG, knocking him out cold. Musa sighed, and resumed to aim the RPG towards the Zephyr. But wait? Would he miss? Not wanting to take that chance, Musa took two more grenades within his feet's grasp. Hehe, now he was ready to cause havoc! "RAAMBO!!!!" A bizarre battle cry broke from within him. Anybody who had the misfortune of not being Zoanthropian only saw a hyped mandrill wailing a large rocket launcher through the air, shouting baboon language. Maybe one more grenade wouldn't hurt...With his free hand, Musa placed a grenade in his mouth, and picked up another to replace it. Totally robbing the unconscious bomber, Musa now had five grenades! "Musa to the rescue, bitches!!" Leaping from rooftop to rooftop, the mandrill was now within range of a decent shot. Hopping off from another building, the walking nuke wrapped his legs around a streetlight, twirling around it just for shits and giggles before finally coming to an arupt halt. Big black tank of death targeted. Aiming it to the Zephyr, Musa clicked the red trigger with his primate finger, shooting off the ammunition. Hopefully it would do something to the exterior of the tank. On impulse, Musa tossed the grenade in his left hand into the RPG, and prepared to fire off a second shot...This one aimed directly for Commander Zepplin himself. "Asta la vista!!" |

Tae swallowed a pained cry as she felt additional weight settle onto her back. The rebel--the Liger's--right front claw traced a bloody line over her shoulder, staining her fur a deeper red. She nodded once at Andrei then turned quickly and made a beeline for the trees, trying to stay low enough to avoid sighting and high enough to avoid gunfire...though hopefully the monkey throwing grenades off the roof was distracting enough. By the time she'd reached the forest, Tae was grunting with exertion and pain, mildly regretting her decision to storm out of the cabin and follow up with a brisk flight through the city. Her broken shoulder had moved beyond pain now and was sort of a permeating numbness spreading across her withers and to the tip of her right wing. Blood stained half or her right side, and she wasn't entirely sure how much of it was hers. "Way to ruin the upholstery, kid," she grumbled through gritted teeth. After only seconds winging through the forest, the trees grew close and thick enough she could no longer fly. While it was a relief in part--her wings, though strong, were not meant for the weight of two large creatures--it also meant she'd now somehow have to limp the rest of the way to the cabin with a giant cat on her back. It would be difficult enough supporting her own weight with a broken collarbone. She was entirely uncertain as to how she would move both of them. "What does he eat?" she wondered aloud, as she began the long, dark trudge through the forest with a pained whinny. "We should have just fed him the damn Zephyr." Thirty minutes later, she stood outside Andrei's cabin, completely incoherent. With some deal of effort, she lowered herself to the ground, and shrugged the Liger's body of her back. Where normally she would have ended such an action with a witty quip, it was all she could do to stand up again. Feeling rather punch-drunk, and dizzy from blood loss, she briefly pondered heading into the fray again. After all the boy she'd befriended was still out there, facing down the monster truck which would--no, could--chew him from the sky without a second thought...But she knew she had a responsibility to the others, and to herself as one of the five. She couldn't leave the Liger here unprotected, especially not as she considered him her key to her past. So, it was settled. She'd stay and watch over the rebel, and if others came, she'd help them, too. But not as the Pegasus. She could no longer feel her right wing, and the blood staining her white fur was frightening enough. Standing was painful as it were on four legs, so, with an effort of sheer will and concentration, she reformed her human self, and sat down hard, clutching her arm to her chest. "Everyone else better get here soon," she grumbled. "I need a nap. And I still haven't gotten my dinner."

His head was soaked in sweat and his body ached. His leg was bleeding, though he had tended to it slightly, it still needed more thorough attention. He racked his brain nervously, and examined his surroundings. He realized where he was, and knew there was a hospital nearby. Three blocks though, was a long way on an injured leg. He knew he had to, so he did. The wreckage from the damaged buildings around here though was hazardous as expected. That blasted tank didn't care who or what it shot at. Andrei saw the sign, a large "H" in bright red above a blue cross background. He continued to drag his leg towards it, hopefully the boy was still distracting the tank, and maybe that crazy monkey was doing some good too. He struggled through the door in a haze, but he knew what he was doing, and looking the way he did, not a single one of the nurses or doctors would try to oppose him, mostly thanks the to fact that visible on him now were his two fourty-five caliber revolvers and two of his knives, the third being the small utility knife he used mainly when he had to open that one finicky door at his cabin, and most doors in general really. He could feel their stares, it had yet to truly bother him though. They had stared him down walking in, they had stared him down walking into the supply room, and they had stared him down as he limped the empty room in which he was now performing "surgery." He cut of the circulation injected the needle and it numbed the pain in his wounded area, poured the antiseptic and dug in with the hemostats to grab the chunk of lead embedded within his leg. He could still hear the sounds of warring in the streets, which meant the Zoans were still alive. After the small bullet was tossed into a pan Andrei continued his methodic operation and cauterized the open wound. Even through the painkillers he felt the sting of the burn. He trudged through though, and carefully stitched the wound shut. With that he took more antiseptic and applied it to a cotton swab, which he then rubbed over the stitches. Now all clean and neat, he was almost ready to fight again, but first, he would need to make a trip to the Hospital's cafeteria.

Theldur heard the noise of destruction comecloser. The source? He turned his head to see the giant war-machine driving towards the battleground. As everything turned silent, the vehicle stopped, blocking the opening towards the alley. The soldiers that exited it were equipped with some strange devices, but were seemingly the elite of Goliaths. An apparently crazy girl suddenly dropped down from the sky, and landed before the Machine, and an eagle accompanied her. Was she a Zoanthropian? The glorious Pegasus had lifted the striped feline who seemed to be the target of the Goliaths. A blond, scary looking man was walking down the alley. But Theldur's main concern was now the Zephyr. The machine had to be stopped. He scanned the vehicle. The armor looked impressively thick, as he saw in the edges around the front window... The window! Of cource, that was the weak point! But how could it break? Theldur kept wondering for some moments. Suddenly he turned into his polar-bear form, and jumped down on the front of the vehicle. The window didn't shatter completely, but it was broken. No doubt about it. Theldur still couldn't get into the Zephyr, however. The opening was still to small, even in his human form. The cat! Theldur realized that the cat was small enough to get in. And as soon as the zoans had an "insider", she could easily turn it off. So Theldur went to find the cat. He roared out repeatedly: "Where are you, Cat?" |

| "I'm here!" Ariana cried out in response to the polar bear's roars. She found it easy to recognize it. Also, the liger had just been carried off by the other legendary, so it couldn't have been his voice. Ree poked her head out from behind the dumpster. "I-I'm hiding!" she called again, her hazel eyes glancing around in search of the huge white bear. She quickly spotted him. It wasn't a challenge to find a giant polar bear rampaging the city streets. Ree watched as the polar bear lumbered off the Zephyr, causing the vehicle to shift violently. She shuddered at the sight before shifting back into her cat form. She was disappointed in her Zoanthropian genes. Why did that boy get to be a gigantic bear, while she was stuck being a black-footed cat the size of a useless house cat? Her little paws delicately treaded the concrete as she slipped out from her hiding place, going to meet the bear. "Are you going to get me out of here now?" Ree whimpered, hating how pathetic she sounded. She cleared her throat and lifted her head high, determined to save her dignity. "I mean, this is totally out of control." (Ahhh ... short post. Really sorry!)

(Argh! I typed up a post, but lost it! And I'm finally in access of a computer! xD) The grenades fired by the mandrill wre interrupted by the Zephyr's spikes that were deployed into the air. The sharp projectiles puntured into the travelling grenades; detonating them near the side of some buildings, sending debris flying through the air. Commander Zepplin didn't even pay Musa any mind. All that mattered was that the Liger had just been carried away from his sight by no other than the Pegasus. While these idiotic Goliath soldiers were struggling with such a ragtag bunch. All of them were now classified as rebels. And all of them of were intervening in his mission. It wasn't that Axel was holing back..It was because he was surveying the Liger's whereabouts while he was fighting. The Liger had escaped with the Pegasus, and Echda was in the way. She was wounded, which meant her movements were slowed. Maybe he felt guilty for it? Fighting her like this...wasn't how he wanted to win. If he was ordered to kill her, he would've felt better about it if she was in her top form. Not with blood seeping through her skin. "Echda..." He lowered his weapon, his eyes softening. Now...He couldn't. He couldn't muster the intent to kill her. Deep down inside, he had feelings for her. Deeper than she could ever imagine. Cold eyes stared into the back of Theldus' furry back as he landed on the Zephyr's top. What was he thinking? He was ignoring him? That rotten, pathetic Zoanthropian? Throwing his useless life away for the Liger? His motives were nothing but bizarre to Zepplin. The polar bear's weak body wasn't anything compared to the thick black steel of the Goliath tank. Without another moment to spare, Zepplin reacted to the Polar bear's attack. In a blink of an eye, the commander vanished from the naked eye; zoan or not, only to suddenly reappear right along the Zephyr tank beside Theldus' peripheral vision followed by a burst of wind. His obscene speed easily surpassed anything that an ordinary Goliath or any of the Zoans present could ever dream of. "How Cretinous..." He muttered just as he swiped his right leg into the arctic bear's ribs. The movement was way too quick for Theldus to even react, or even block. As his foot contacted the Zoan, the ends of the bear's fur pointed up in unison from the massive blow, and tossed Theldus across the street. Lowering his leg, Zepplin didn't even give the polar bear a second thought as he locked heartless eyes onto the small cat below him. Another obstacle. He flexed his gloved hand as it started to glow an omnious purple; lighting his face with it's hellish gleam. "Hello young lady..." He said coldly to Ariana, well knowing that she was probably wondering how he knew her appearance. He could see her human form just as clearly as he could see her in her animal form. All of them he could see. The light in his hand flickered, "You're next.." Five of the armored Goliaths all flew down with their spears, and shields in hand, and prepared to attack both Ichiro, and Slayer. Their mission: To capture the Liger and the Pegasus, and to eliminate any opposing forces. Two Zoanthropians would be no trouble. Meanwhile the other five flew over to the RPG totting mandrill who was dangling along a streetlight. Scattering through the air to avoid his shots, the five elite Goliaths came down on him, slashing, and thrusting their spears at Musa visciously. Axel watched in awe at his commander. That cold look. The eyes of not a soldier, but of a murderer. He clenched his teeth, gripping his blade's hilt ever so tight. "E-Echda.." He studdered, "I can't...I won't!" His electrical blade dropped from his hand to the ground, as he brought both hands upon Echda's shoulders. He stared dreamily into her eyes, "I won't allow it. I can't just off someone so important to me." Axel brought his head closer to hers, "I won't let him take you away from me either...So run..." Backing away slowly, Axel gave her a comforting smile, hoping that that would persuade her to flee. "Hurry...Go!" Just as that last word was uttered from Axel' mouth, a spike from along the side of the Zephyr tank shot off, narrowly missing the small cat that was positioned right in front of it. It zoomed down the street, flying past Echda's head, and piercing through Axel's chest. He couldn't even make a sound. The only thing he was feeling was pure shock. Blood splattered across the ground as he was lifted off his feet, and flew back, only to be violently nailed to the side of a building. Gasping for breath, he wrapped his hands weakly along the spike with blood gushing from his mouth, and torso. Axel groaned when a sickening crack came from him as the blade's point seperated from within him, and began to gradually churn faster, and faster. It was obvious what was going to happen to him next...In a matter of moments, he would be reduced to nothing but a messy, grinded pile of red flesh. It was Zepplin's doing. But he didn't even so much as glance to his victim. His eyes were still leering down on the Zoanthropian cat girl a few feet below him. The only thing that so far as hinted him of the crime, was the demonic smile that crawled all the way across both of his cheeks. ------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hey, hey Luke! Where you goin? This ain't the time to be chasin' skirts!" "Give me a break, Maxi! Tonight's gonna be a busy night, so lemme have my fun while I can!" Luke, leader of the 'Crusaders' biker gang was out on a mission! Damn straight! To catch some women before the big fight. Maroon hair in the shape of a buzz cut, brown leather jacket, a white bandana tied firmly onto his waist, red pants, and black combat boots. This was Luke Graveheart. A nineteen year old biker punk with nothing on his mind except girls, and bikes. A natural leader. Someone who was infamous for his deliquency. The figurehead of the Crusaders. Take shit from no one. Your bike...Was your life. You were nothing without your bike! That's what he crammed into the gang's heads. 'That night...of the big rumble...That was when I last saw him. Blood...Nothing but blood...The Crusaders...I let them die...What was I supposed to do? I couldn't do a damn thing! I warned them to get away! I tried...Dammit....Luke...' The Liger's eyes cracked open to be greeted with the inside of a cabin...A shitty cabin. In defense, Maxus rose up, and snarled at Taesha, baring his fangs, and claws. The beast started to lunge, but he only staggered back drowsily, knocking over a couple of shelves in the process. A bit confused, angry, and dizzy pretty much described him right about now
