Zion only nodded to Xiro, flipping off switches as he left the room, still being as nonchalant as always.
Cairo laughed at Xiro’s words, trying to keep the red from rushing to his cheeks as he stood from his seat, following Locke who had recently done the same.
“Looks like we’ve got our first inside joke.” she teased her fire headed shipmate as they entered the bunk room. Locke saw someone’s shoes at a bunk in the corner in the room across from Xiro’s, but unaware, or more than likely, uncaring as to who they belonged to, she climbed up the silver ladder to the bunk above it, not even bothering with removing her shoes as she headed off into sleep.

Zion looked over at Miak who’s attempts at hanging up his communicative device had gone astray, shaking her head ever so lightly. She was going to reassure him that there was nothing to be embarrassed about, but held back. He was older than her and though not as experienced, still held the age factor above her head, something that kept her silent.

As he left the room, Glytch took the seat that had belonged to Xiro, looking over at Zion.
“Aren’t you going to sleep?”

“I could ask you the same thing.” She replied, picking up a large gathering of bound pages, an instruction manual of sorts, opening it up to the first page and starting to read.

“Can’t you read that later?”

Zion looked over at him. Did he have a minimum number of questions he had to ask her before the day was over? It sure as hell seemed like it.

“I could, but its obvious that Xiro is going to get taken off of piloting crew if he keeps playing around. I’ll have to read up for the two of us.”

“Do it later.” Glytch commanded with a light laugh as he took the book straight out of her hands, receiving a horrible glare which he paid no heed to. “I mean it.”

“Will it make you shutup?”

“For tonight.”

Zion got out of her chair and flipped off the last switch “I’ll take what I can.”

Sleep did not come easily for Xiro, something he had been facing for quite some time. If Zion's dreams were bad, then his were right down petrifying. Every time it was the same thing, so subconsciously engraved that he could do nothing but wake from a cold sweat every time. He was lying in the middle of a road, unable to move, to fend for himself. Rain began to pour from the heavens, the black sky above seeming to grow darker instead of brighter with each lightning bolt that cracked, the thunder looming around. A man with black sunglasses looked at him, bending over, about to do something. He wasn't sure what it was, but it was as if he knew he would die from whatever it was. Suddenly, another man (The exact same man in fact) stepped up, placing a hand on his chest and shaking his head as he pointed down the street.

Surprisingly, Xiro found himself able to turn his head as he saw two figures facing off from each other. Surrounding them were hundreds, if not thousands of the same man, all standing in perfect unison down the sides of the street. Then the one man, different then all of the rest began to run towards the single figure. He heard a scream, one that he realized as his own, and then a lurching , as if the world was turning in on itself. And then the world was no more. And neither was the dream as he sat up, touching his forehead, and then the back of his neck as he wiped the sweat away, breathing heavily for a moment before he headed out of the room. He sat at the pilot's seat in utter silence as he opened up the pilot's manual, reading there with only one light on. He shuddered for a moment involuntarily as he flipped a page, thinking to himself. THe dream was so vivid, and so startling. It was the only thing ever in his life that had made him feel this way, actually. And he had no idea what it even meant. Finally closing the book after 30 minutes of reading, he leaned back in the pilot's seat as he sighed, placing an arm over his eyes as he tried to fall back asleep.

Ares stepped from his room, cane in hand as he walked into the control room, placing a hand on Xiro's shoulder for support as he took the seat next to his pilot, Sighing in relief as his back popped, contouring the shape of the seat. "It's good to see that someone's awake already. In fact, it'd be best to wake everyone up and prep them for entry." Xiro nodded at that, picking up a head set and placing it on, flipping two switches. "Good morning crew, this is Xiro your humble pilot speaking. Orders have come in from the captain, everyone report to the Plug-In bay for entry, our new mission is in."

30 minutes later, everyone was situated into their seats. Xiro drummed his fingers against the arm of the chair for a moment as he felt Zion walk behind him, hearing her grab the cord that would soon drag his mind a thousand miles away. He winced in pain as the feeling of a large pole being shoved into his skull could only do to one's face appeared, the next moment the feeling that he was somewhere else entirely shot to his mind. Looking around the white vastness of the Construct, he looked down at himself as the others began to appear out of nowhere. He said nothing to the others as the weapons loaded, grabbing two MP5's, a pair of P229's, and then a combat knife, which he attached to his leg.

Ares stood near a wall of weapons, picking up one, then placing it back down before finally grabbing two Desert Eagles and a SCORPION sub machine gun, nodding to everyone.
"Alright, I will go into detail here. We're moving to the Oracle's, and we will be taking the car." By car he was referring to the black monstrosity of a sports car, custom made from his preferences after many hours in consolation with Zion on the exact details of it. They simply called it The Beast. "Xiro, you'll take driver's position, I'll ride in the back, the rest of you can decide who sits where. We're going for questions of what the message meant, as well as clues to the whereabouts of some things. Since we have not been there in some time, we will also be going for advice on anything else anyone wishes to bring up with her. Some people do not believe in her, but I find it comforting. She's never been wrong before."

Zion ran her fingers through her hair as she got out of bed, smoothing out her shirt and making a mental note that a shower would be best in the near future. Looking around to see everyone was already out of the room, she let out a loud yawn, not being one to express her fatigue around others.

After plugging in Xiro, she walked over to Cairo who was sitting there patiently, smiling up at her as she grabbed the chord for his chair.
“Hey, beautiful. How are you doing this morning?” he asked with a boyish grin, stealing a glance at everything below her neckline, only able to imagine what sort of beautiful body was hidden beneath it.

“Just fine.” she replied, wrapping her hand tightly around the chord and shoving it in the back of the skull a little bit harder than she usually did with the others.

“Hey can someone load the swords?” Cairo asked, looking up at the blank ceiling as though praying to some far off god. He was wearing attire that differed greatly from the others: white pants with a black dragon design, and a white and black long sleeved shirt missing parts of the shoulders, and what appeared to be ribbons of fabric going down the arms. His hands were half covered by a soft black fabric, the same going for the lower part of his face, making his voice slightly muffled, but still discernable to Locke and Zion. After all, they were trained to be able to pick up whispers in hiding and shouts over emptying clips. It seemed possible that reading thoughts was something else they were capable of, but no one ever spoke of such foolish things.

Zion took her seat beside Locke after carefully plugging in Miak, adjusting the screens before putting her headphones on. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Locke pop in the disc for the blades, seeing them rise up from the floor next to Cairo who eyed each one carefully.

“We got any Dragonflies?”

“Third over.” Locke replied, typing in hurriedly and adjusting the mouthpiece of her headset.

Taking two of the sleek Samurai swords, Cairo placed them in the sheaths above each thigh, grabbing a huge paper crane katana made with Tamahagane steel, and putting that in a sheath on his back. On his waist, he slid in small throwing knives into easy to reach slots around his belt, knowing his expert eyes would make them lethal for long distances.

Zion listened to Ares speak and raised a brow “Why do you all need so many weapons if you’re visiting the Oracle?”
“They’re men.” Locke said, covering her speaking piece with a cloth gloved hand “They’re probably compensating or something, waiting for the oracle to tell them they’re gonna have problems down south. You know, pre mid life crisis.”
“Good thing I’m too young for one of those.” Glytch said, strapping on a pair of fingerless gloves as he walked in, trying to read the screens but finding himself getting a headache. “Yeah. Boring.” he added, looking over at one of the empty plug in chairs with longing

“I hate it when they don’t take me.”

“Welcome to my world.” Locke said, typing in a few messages before settling back, waiting for everyone to get their weapons.

""You remind me so much of your' father..."

"I'm his son,what'd you expect."

A feeling like being pulled from under water after holding his breath to long pierced Miak's lungs and he arose with a breath. Why had he done that?It wasn't a nightmare. He lifted a muscled bare arm and wiped the glistening droplets of sweat from his brow.

"Good morning crew, this is Xiro your humble pilot speaking. Orders have come in from the captain, everyone report to the Plug-In bay for entry, our new mission is in."

Miak always seemed to 'come to' just before someone tried to wake him up,a weird tendency that clung to him from childhood.
A sigh escaped his dry lips as he threw off his bed blankets and swung his legs over the edge of the bed.He scanned the dimly lit bunk room from his sitting position...The others were waking as well,he could hear sleepy yawns from the waking crew.Tiredness would be swept from their minds within a few minutes.
Miak planted his arms on the soft bed he sat upon and shoved himself onto his tired feet.He reached to the ceiling and went up on his toes and groaned slightly at the lovely soothing feeling of his tight muscles stretching out. With a final victorious sigh,he made his way to the plug in room shoulder to shoulder with the others of the crew, with a spring in his step.

He found the familiar leather chair with the fancy head rest which was his plug in station and sat down, relaxing his arms on the armrest and laying his head back on the cold headrest.Miak's chest bounced as he chuckled lightly at the flirty Cairo as Zion drove the spike into his skull a bit roughly.Miak looked blankly at the ceiling as Zion made her way to his station."I hope thats not how you plug in all of your new friends."He said jokingly, glancing over and nodding with a grin, giving her the 'I'm good to go.' signal.
Every time he plugged in,it reminded him of the first time he had ever felt the spike enter his skull. The words of his old captain echoed in his mind as the metal spike hovered over the back of his bare neck."This may feel a little weird."

Miak was grateful when Zion slipped the spike in more gently then she had with Cairo and soon the infinite white of the 'loading program' surrounded him along with Cairo,Xiro,Locke and Ares.Racks of deadly weapons began approaching them quickly like hundreds of steam horse trains. He took a relaxed step out of the way as the racks blew past, plowing threw the illusion of air.The bottom of his long leather black coat whipped slightly do to the created breeze.Once the weapon loaded racks halted, his coat stopped flapping in the 'wind' and hung deadly at his knees.

Two Colt 911s sat on the rack in front of him along with a eight magazines of ammo.He snatched the pistols into his hands, loaded them and slid them into holsters under each of his arms, along with the ammo clips that attached to a belt-like thing that clung to his torso that went from the bottom of his ribs from under his arm, down to the top of his hips. All of which was hidden well, under his long black leather coat...That was his normal load out, unless ordered to bring something more substantial.

He listened quietly and attentively to the captains short but to the point briefing.

A bit of eagerness coursed threw his pumping veins.
Lets do this...

Ares nodded as everyone got the last of their things, giving the thumbs up as the Matrix was fully integrated with the Construct. They exited out of a small bar that they had designated as their entrance and exit, the barkeep an actual Red Pill himself who mended an all access hub to and fro this world. Pushing the side doors open, they headed out to the small metal sliding door beside the building, opening it to reveal an entire hidden garage complex.

Xiro headed for the driver's seat, taking a quick breath. He hated driving this thing, to be honest. Glytch was usually the one who drove this thing, and was a thousand times better than he at it. Even if the car was simply reloaded at the first sign of wear and tear, he would more than likely get a major scolding from Ares, who considered this thing to be his own child. Opening the door and sliding in, he flipped the switch as the 3 other doors, all suicide doors, slowly slid open to let the passengers in. As he started the car (And flipped the switch to shut the doors as soon as everyone was seated) Xiro slowly pulled out of the alley and headed for the traffic of main street, finally getting into a good lane with minimal traffic. Loosening up, he drove in utter silence the rest of the way, finally turning on the radio to some random station about 5 minutes before they reached their location. Parking in a small lot behind a bunch of run down apartments, everyone exited, Ares in the lead, walking silently towards the buildings. As they entered the area, the little memories began to trickle back about the last time he had been there, as a child. He didn't remember a word of what she had spoken, it had been more like a baptism and acceptance, the actual prophecy over him had been told to his surrogate father at the time (Who had, by irony's sake, been Ares) and was never repeated to him. This time though, he'd be able to hear the prophecy with his own ears.

They approached the 13th floor of the apartment complex, and as they walked Xiro felt the strange feeling like something had been spoken of here before. The large, dusty building seemed so familiar, so much like something was on the tip of the tongue. He ignored it as he pressed inwards, finally reaching a large wooden door to an apartment. They didn't even knock as a young woman opened the door, smiling as she ushered them in. Children sat on the ground, with large silver spoons in their hands, some bending them, one little girl actually raising it above her head without any hands and making the spoon burst into flames, then freeze with blue ice crystals forming from it. It was a mystery why she hadn't been unplugged already. The group was seated on the couch as one by one, they were called into the kitchen, a sign hanging in Latin over the door frame which simply read "nosce te ipsum". Know Thyself. The first to be called was of all people, Cairo, a young woman beckoning him to come from the beads and into the room.

Xiro stretched out on the couch as he put a finger to the receiver at his ear. There wasn't even a dial tone. Apparently, the service had already gone dead from the proximity to the one. Sighing, he closed his eyes as he crossed his arms, nodding his head down.

(Alright, Ravynzyon will take control of the Oracle. So Ark, message her with what you have for a question, I'm sure she can type up the oracle's actions and words for you to just add into your post. But first, Ravy gets to talk to herself for a bit! XD )

The oracle was by no means an ugly woman, however she didn’t hold that bold feminine presence that would instinctively set one’s hormones on fire. The canvas of her face had lines brushed in with the paint of passing time and great knowledge, her dark eyes reflecting the secrets only few would ever find revealed. Her hair had perhaps in another lifetime been a lovely auburn or something of that nature, yet it too had faded with time, like a leaf stolen of its youth when the arrival of autumn dawned before winter’s ferocity.

Cairo had come to see her once or twice, yet every time it seemed his memory of her was put to shame. There wasn’t much consistent about her, at least, so it seemed, therefore he always had to try and memorize her, the way she looked. Unfortunately, that would cause him to accidentally tune out what it was she said.
But she already knew that, didn’t she?

He took a seat as she searched through the cabinets for a spice to add to the contemporary cauldron boiling lightly on the stove, her voice very light as she spoke to him.

“You look different.” she observed, looking over the dishtowel tossed over her shoulder, studying him behind bifocals.

“What was the point of us getting up, anyway?” Glytch asked with a childish groan, bringing out a chair from the control room and taking a seat, rolling around lazily on the floor, looking to be quite bored.

“Pft, who knows?” Locke asked, taking her attention away from the screens, a contrast to Zion who was studying them intently, reading them with awe as she noticed the striking clarity.

“Better to be safe than to be sorry.” Zion finally said, looking over at the two who only stared back at her.

Cairo stepped out of the room, blinking his eyes as though waking from a dream. Something about him seemed different, as though he’d been hit by a brick wall. He stared at the floor without a mind for a brief moment before looking over at Ares, then back at the door, the joy that had once been in his eyes now completely void.
Though no one could ask him what had been said, what words were exchanged. They were, as always stated, for him and him alone.

Ares found himself being called next as he entered into the small room, looking at the woman standing near an oven, checking a clock on the wall. A rather redundant thing to do, for she knew everything about the time and the world before it even happened. He cleared his throat, another mundane thing to do as he waited for a response from her.

“I see you haven’t learned any patience in the past five hundred and twenty seven days.” The Oracle said as she turned and looked at Ares, picking up the spectacles from around her neck and getting a good look at the aging man.

Ares felt the heat rise to his cheeks as he looked away from her, taking the seat at the kitchen table without even asking. He looked up to her as he gave a small nod, clasping his hands before him as he watched the woman with wholeheartedness.
"I do apologize for my rudeness. I have some questions, though, and I want to know if you can help."

“I figured that you would.” she stated, not being the one to state the obvious ‘I already know what you’re going to say’. Taking the seat across from him, she glanced back at the pot on the stove then at Ares, removing her bifocals with care “Go on.”

Ares nodded as he searched for the words, not sure where to start.
"It all comes down to the message we received recently. It spoke of there being a trace of The One still out there, as well as the great virus. I am here formally for all of Zion to ask the question of where both are..." He grew quiet, as he thought whether or not to ask the next part. "The next part is for my own request. I want to know if I will succeed in what I want, as well as if everything that I've worked for is still going as it should be."

Even though the Oracle knew what words were going to be spoken by him, she still seemed to show surprise at his great amount of curiosity, followed by a look of unease.

“Who are we to question if we will succeed?”

Steam rose from the pot behind her, tiny droplets of water rising from beneath the lid and making a hissing sound on the hot stove.
“Take my soup for an example. I already knew that it was going to burn, but I didn’t want to be a bad host.” her eyes locked with his “I could have prevented it, but I did not.” her strong gaze melted away as she slowly got up from her chair, putting her hand to her back as she stood up straight, walking over to the stove. “Sometimes we have to do something for another person, even if that means everything we’ve worked towards is going to be destroyed.” She opened the lid to the pot, being greeted by a great cloud of steam, waving it back and grabbing a spoon on the counter, she stirred lightly before setting it aside.

“Now I can save my soup, because I accepted the fact that it was going to be destroyed.” she turned to him “But you won’t be able to do that…if you don’t take the spot light off of yourself for more than a moment.”Turning the heat to low, she walked back to the table, taking her time as she also took her seat once more.

“Neo might be closer to you than you think.”
she said, answering his first question “You’ll find him if you follow the advice I just gave you.”

Ares nodded as he listened to her words, nodding as if he understood what she was saying. Of course he would never fully understand it, not until the time came for those words were to make sense.
"I feel like there's something you need to tell me."

“Funny…I never perceived you as a person to follow their feelings in a conversation.”
she said, thinking as the silence between them settled in, about to become awkward before she broke it
“You can’t kill two birds with one stone if they fly faster than you can set your trap…you might need help in what you’re trying to accomplish, and you also need to learn to settle for one bird if you cannot get two."

With nothing else to say, Ares stood as he headed for the door, looking to Miak as he nodded to him, passing the couch as he instead leaned against the door.

How many years had it been since he'd seen The Oracle?Since the time his mind was freed? No,it couldn't have been that long ago...Or maybe it had been? The idea of time seemed to fade away once he entered the very average looking apartment of the great all knowing Oracle.
Miak stood next to the comfortable looking couch patiently, choosing not to take a seat. His attention had been easily snatched away by the unique children. Some seemed more free then most seasoned adult soldiers that he had worked with in his time...One particular young girl seemed the most unique out of them all.She sat in a corner, unlike the other kids she was not preforming any particular miraculous feat.No bent spoons lay beside her,nor did blocks float above her...Her curly brown hair and hazel eyes along with a slightly baby fatted pale face made her look younger then she was. Most likely seven or eight years old,but appeared to be five or six...She looked up and made eye contact with Miak. Her eyes glistened slightly and seemed to open a gate allowing him to see into her heart and mind.Blood left his face as he was swept away into his distant memories.

His father smiled sweetly at him with a toothy grin, his sky blue eyes beamed with pride and love.John (his father) swept away a strand of his long black hair from his scruffy face and began to say something to him.But Miak could not hear his mouthed words.Even though he wanted to with all of his heart...Then his father's face went blank,Miak covered his cold ears with his gloved hands as the piercing squeal of what sounded like a dial tone rang while no phone was in sight. His father's body began to glow and change shape.Miak turned away from his father as the light became to bright to look at any longer. Then when he returned his teary eyes back to where his father was...All he saw was a suited man with familiar black sun glasses.Pointing a Desert Eagle to his forehead...

The vision stopped at the moment he heard the click of the firing pin falling on the back of the .50 caliber bullet. He was still staring into the comforting brown eyes of the young girl.Who was she?She smiled shyly and ran to a group of kids about her age that had been waving her over. She glanced one last time at Miak who's mouth was hanging open, stunned by the clarity of the memory.

Captain Ares came out of the Oracle's kitchen and nodded toward Miak, whom almost didn't notice as his mind raced across the memory that both scarred and paved the way of his life...Miak walked quickly toward the beaded doorway then halted, taking a few breaths while clearing his mind of the vision and instead focused on the question he had planned to ask...He stuck his medium sized strong hand into the beaded doorway and parted them. One last breath escaped his throat as he stepped threw the beads and entered the kitchen.

An older woman whom he didn't recognize but knew was the Oracle was seated at a wooden table not far from the doorway.

"Hello."Miak greeted nicely."I will get on with the question and not waste any of your time."

Miak took his eyes of the old woman and looked out a clean window above a sink full of dirty dishes.

"I find it somewhat comical that I must ask someone who knows what I'm going to say before I ask it a question. But I will ask for the sake of asking..."He paused considering his words..."What is my purpose? The first time I came to you,I asked for the knowledge and wisdom that I needed at the time. And at that time I was young and the question I asked was not the right one...But today,I seek a more valuable answer...I fight and fight.I do my duties as soldier. But I highly doubt that my purpose is to fight until old age begins to eat at my bones...The One had a purpose, maybe higher then mine but a purpose no less.Morpheus also had a purpose which he fulfilled. All men and women seem to have a purpose...But what is mine?It is the answer that eludes me."
