Archos had been chained to another wall in the dungeon a few days before the faery was brought in. He had indured many sessions of torture in which he would be asked countless questions that he couldn't answer. He had no idea why they hadn't just killed him in the first place, rather than bring him to a dungeon to do it.
Archos was certain that he could escape from the chains, however logic prevented him from doing so. He had no idea whether he was underground, or above it. He also hadn't a clue of how many people were actually guarding the place he was being kept. He didn't want to chance charging into a horde of casters, only to be brought down and recaptured or killed. If only there were someone else to help.. He often found himself thinking, as he stared into the darkness of his captor's dungeon. When the faery was brought in, Archos' hopes for escape jumped. She was unconscious, but Archos figured that she had to be a follower of the ancients. There was nobody else, at least that he could think of, that the casters would capture. Garus was laying on a table between the two, but Archos knew that his device was relieved as well. The faery was out for a day, or so Archos thought, with no cue from the sun, before she woke up. Archos noticed immediately, as he had been watching her closely the whole time. In his excitement, he almost shouted a hello to her. Then he thought better of it; he didn't know if there were people near the door to the room. Let alone where the door was. Instead, he whispered across to her. "Good morning." He began and continued with a more direct question, "Are you, by chance, a mage of the ancients?" |

Kay heard a voice her head flicking up as she noticed another person chained to the wall opposite her. "Good morning." He began and continued with a more direct question, "Are you, by chance, a mage of the ancients?"
Reply With Quote she heard him ask and felt a small surge of hope deep with in her stomach. 'So I'm not as alone in this as I thought I was Chazoi' she thought smiling before remembering her mannerisms and responding "I am." She did not dare to reveal her name in the case that someone was listening to her. "I take it you serve the ancients as well?" she responded in kind not asking for details of who he was lest it reveal something that shouldn't be revealed. She scanned the room, with exception of a table that had the other persons device on it the room was bare. The chains against her wrist felt cold and she wasn't entirely sure of there location but if she knew the casters they would be approximately twelve feet under Kalica city, the capital of their empire. Chazoi scanned the room with out making a sound and confirmed the other Devices identity and shared there own with it as surely as if it were an every day situation that they were in. |

When the woman said she was a mage, Archos' heart leapt even more. Before he responded again, he looked to his left and right. Something done more out of habit when he didn't want to be heard, than actually looking for someone to be in the room with them. He knew nobody was there, it had only been around ten minutes since another guard left.
"Yes, I am" Archos responded to the fae's question. Then he continued, "I wound up here the same as you, unconscious and bound." His voice lowered slightly for the rest of what he had to say. He spoke just loud enough for the fae to hear. "I can get the both of us out of here, too. Wherever here may be. They were stupid enough to try and restrain a summoner with nothing but a chain. Then even stupider to leave my device with me." He nodded toward the book on the table as he mentioned his device. Though he was sure she already knew that was what the book was. "The only reason I haven't tried, is because I'm not sure how to handle the guards. I know there are at least five different elite casters that I've seen. I'm sure there are more. There are even more problems if we are in a city of any kind." Archos explained his doubts, causing his feeling of hope to slowly fade away. He wasn't entirely sure if one other mage would be enough. |
